Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: This Is Impossible

### Chapter 10: This Is Impossible

The expression on Mira's face as she spoke was filled with unwillingness. Usually, she looked down on boys a bit, feeling that none of the boys her age could fight.

And she wasn't wrong. In the entire guild, the only one who could compete with her was Erza. Laxus was four years older than her.

She felt that in a few more years, she would definitely be able to defeat Laxus too.

But now she had lost to Riku, almost without the power to fight back, which dealt a huge blow to Mira's pride.

At this moment, a hand appeared in front of Mira's eyes.

Mira looked up and saw Riku extending his hand towards her.

"Sorry, I was a bit heavy-handed just now. My name is Riku. Please take care of me from now on."

Mira took Riku's hand and stood up: "I'm Mirajane. You won this time, but don't get cocky. It won't be long before I challenge you again and defeat you."

After leaving these harsh words, Mira walked away angrily.

"Big sister, are you hurt?"

Lisanna and Elfman hurried over, concerned about whether their sister was injured.

"I'm fine."

Mira waved her hand. The opponent obviously held back; otherwise, given the power of his lightning, she definitely wouldn't have been able to withstand it.

"Winner! Riku!"

Gildarts announced Riku's victory.

"Even Mira lost!"

"What is Riku's background?! His strength is too great!"

"The power of his lightning feels about the same as Laxus!"

"Doesn't that mean another S-Class?!"

...

"Any more challengers?"

Gildarts asked.

Gray asked Erza: "Erza, aren't you going up?"

Erza shook her head: "My strength is about the same as Mira's. Plus, that last attack of his, I can't block it."

If Riku hadn't released that final strike, even though the strength Riku displayed was terrifying, she would still have wanted to try and settle the score with him.

But seeing Riku's final strike, she knew she couldn't withstand it.

Since she couldn't withstand it, there was no point in challenging him.

"Since no one is challenging, then that's it."

Soon, everyone returned to the guild, all discussing the exciting battle just now.

Riku followed Makarov to complete the procedures for joining the guild.

A large sky-blue guild mark was stamped on Riku's back.

"Alright, from now on, you are also a member of the Fairy Tail guild."

Hearing this, Riku clenched his fist in excitement. He had really joined Fairy Tail.

When he watched the *Fairy Tail* anime as a child, he dreamed that one day he could join Fairy Tail. After growing up, he realized that dreams are called dreams because they can only happen when you are dreaming.

But now, the dream had really come true. Whether this was a dream or not, he hoped to remain immersed in this dream forever and never wake up.

Gildarts patted Riku's shoulder: "Alright, Riku, go meet your guildmates."

Riku nodded. He indeed wanted to get to know everyone in the guild.

"Hi! I'm Natsu Dragneel, and this is Happy."

"Aye! I'm Happy."

Riku had just left the counter when Natsu brought Happy over to him.

"Natsu, Happy, hello. My name is Riku. I was a bit heavy-handed just now; are you okay, Natsu?"

"I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm used to it."

Natsu waved his hand. He used to challenge Laxus often, so naturally, he got electrocuted frequently. Riku's attack just now wasn't actually that heavy, so he woke up quickly.

"Riku, you're so strong! You actually defeated that Mira!"

To Natsu, Mira and Erza were two monsters. Every time he challenged them, he got beaten up badly. Riku being able to defeat Mira was a huge relief for the boys.

"Luck! Just luck! My Magic is just a bit powerful, that's all. Mira is very strong."

Although Mira wasn't a member of the protagonist team, her strength was top-tier. It was just that her future work focus shifted mainly to guild logistics.

"Hmph! A win is a win, a loss is a loss. I'm not a sore loser."

Mira's voice drifted over, obviously carrying a tone of displeasure.

"Riku, hello. I'm Erza. You are very strong. Let's spar if there's a chance in the future."

Erza extended her hand in front of Riku and said.

Riku nodded and shook hands with Erza: "Okay."

Real combat is the best way to improve. He didn't become arrogant just because he defeated the anime protagonists.

If not for the Goro Goro no Mi's superior ability, if it were purely a contest of fists and kicks, he would be far from being a match for these few. He needed more combat experience.

Erza's Magic wasn't inherently strong; it relied heavily on equipment. But Erza's technique was top-tier, often allowing the weak to defeat the strong.

Sparring more with Erza would greatly improve his actual combat ability.

Only by combining powerful combat skills with the Goro Goro no Mi's powerful ability could he unleash his strongest power.

Soon, more and more people came to say hello and chat. Some even invited Riku to form a team. Riku declined them one by one. Although teaming up was good, it wouldn't allow him the freedom to arrange his time.

Knowing the plot, he knew that in the future, Fairy Tail, and even the entire world, would face various crises. He needed to spend more time training to become even stronger.

On the other side, Makarov and Gildarts were also chatting.

"Gildarts, where did you abduct such a little monster from?"

Makarov had watched the entire battle between Riku, Natsu, and Mira, and he was equally shocked by the strength Riku displayed.

"On my way back, when I saw the kid, he had just been struck by lightning and then awakened his Magic Origin. Master, you absolutely can't imagine, it's only been a month since the kid awakened his Magic Origin."

"?!! Impossible!!"
