Chapter 16 - Chapter 15: The Gap Between Humans Is Sometimes Bigger Than Between Humans and Dogs

In the end, both Cobra and Issho adopted Broly's suggestion.

Fujitora would take the blame for this.

After all, he was the one who killed these Marines. As for the pregnant women and infants, Cobra would secretly settle them in the palace and quietly release them to freedom after the turmoil subsided.

"Hey, come out!"

Broly suddenly raised his voice. The two people discussing turned their heads upon hearing this, only to see two small and thin figures trembling like Chihuahuas in winter, shuffling out from the shadowy alley entrance.

It was Smoker and Hina.

Cobra's heart skipped a beat, and Issho's pupils constricted slightly.

Even though his Observation Haki at this moment hadn't reached the peak level it would attain twenty years later when he was blind, he had already awakened both types of Haki, yet he hadn't noticed the existence of these two children at all.

Ultimately, it was because he had been killing with red eyes just now, his mind focused entirely on the slaughter of blood and fire.

The two Marine Academy prep students were trembling so much their teeth were chattering.

For the first time, they faced the tragic scene of corpses everywhere and witnessed with their own eyes the Marines acting like vicious pirates, brutally arresting defenseless pregnant women, and even causing several deaths directly.

This impact was tantamount to the collapse of their worldview for children who had carved "Marines = Justice" into their bones.

"Um... Mr. Broly, do you know those two?" Cobra asked in a suppressed voice, his gaze still fixed on the two shivering children.

"They followed me here. Future prospective students for the Marine Academy," Broly answered nonchalantly.

Cobra and Issho's faces darkened simultaneously.

Marine Academy prep students—this meant it was highly likely that the two would go back and report today's events.

Their expressions changed several times, but in the end, they remained silent and took no action.

Even Issho, who had just killed hundreds of Marines with his own hands, couldn't muster any killing intent at this moment.

To protect innocent women and children, he could swing his sword at evil-doing Marines, but it was absolutely impossible for him to attack two half-grown children.

Broly stroked his chin, looking at the two children with interest: "Do you still plan to join the Marines?"

He was genuinely curious whether these two would still plunge headfirst into so-called "justice" like in the original work after witnessing such atrocities by the Marines with their own eyes.

Hina was already scared speechless, but Smoker bit the tip of his tongue hard. The piercing pain barely allowed him to regain his senses, but his voice still trembled: "Wh-What exactly is going on? Why... why do the Marines want to arrest those people?"

Broly exchanged glances with Cobra and Issho. Finally, Cobra walked forward slowly, softening his voice: "Children, let me tell you."

Five minutes later, the cause and effect were completely laid out before Smoker and Hina.

The worldview of these two brats, whose combined age was barely enough for junior high school, was crushed again.

Just for an illusory "Pirate King's offspring," countless innocent women and infants around the world had to die in vain?

Were the Marines really the image of justice they knew?

Broly ignored the two little brats standing dumbfounded and bewildered. He walked straight up to Issho and tapped his chin with his fingertip: "How many times gravity can your ability apply at most?"

Issho was slightly stunned. Although he didn't understand Broly's intention, he still answered truthfully: "The limit this old man can currently release is fifty times gravity."

Broly's mind moved, remembering that when Son Goku first arrived on King Kai's planet, the gravity environment there was exactly ten times.

He looked up at Fujitora, his tone carrying a hint of playful interest: "I want to try."

Fujitora blinked.

If an ordinary child made such a request, he would certainly refuse outright. But the three-year-old child in front of him, with that five billion Berry bounty, had long proven he was an out-and-out "monster."

"Then excuse me."

Fujitora nodded, raised his hand, and pointed his cane sword at Broly's feet.

Boom!

In an instant, with Broly as the center, an area with a radius of five meters was suddenly enveloped by terrifying gravity.

The ground groaned under the unbearable burden, directly pressed into a deep pit more than two meters deep.

Smoker and Hina, who were in a daze, were startled by the loud noise. Turning their heads to look, when they saw the bottomless pit clearly, both widened their eyes in unison and gasped.

"This is thirty times gravity. What does Mr. Broly think?" Issho asked.

Broly hooked his finger, his tone carrying a hint of dissatisfaction: "Didn't you eat? I said fifty times, hurry up."

Fujitora Issho nodded, his expression becoming a bit more solemn: "Then this old man won't be polite."

As his voice fell, he pushed his ability to the limit!

Boom—!

The originally two-meter-deep pit instantly collapsed to nearly three meters, and the range of gravity expanded accordingly. Several nearby Marine corpses were swept into it, and with a "splat," they were directly squeezed into meat paste.

But Broly in the center of the pit remained as steady as Mount Tai, as if that fifty times gravity was just a gentle breeze on his face.

Under the incredible gazes of Cobra, Issho, and the two children, Broly slowly raised his hand. His fist moved so fast it created a whistling sound as it broke the air, punching out again and again, the afterimages connecting into a blur in the air.

Five-year-old Hina was completely dumbfounded—the Marine corpses next to him were crushed into meat sauce, yet his punching speed was still so fast it was hard to distinguish with the naked eye!

Only to hear Broly mutter to himself in a low voice, his tone actually carrying a hint of regret: "Fifty times gravity, still a bit of pressure... My speed is actually so much slower."

Falling into the ears of Smoker and the others, these words only left them speechless.

Under fifty times gravity, they couldn't even see Broly's fist shadows clearly, yet the person involved actually complained about being "slow."

The gap between humans is sometimes really bigger than between humans and dogs.

"Alright, release it."

Broly raised his hand to stop, leaped out of the deep pit, patted the dust off his body, and said to Issho, "Your ability is quite interesting. Let's exchange contact information; maybe I'll need your help with something in the future."

Issho blinked and said truthfully, "This old man never likes to carry a Den Den Mushi. Does Mr. Broly have one?"

Even though Broly repeatedly admitted he had no interest in world peace and even wished for the situation to be as chaotic as possible, if he could make this "monster" owe him a favor, Issho was naturally willing.

Broly also shook his head.

Cobra, who was knowledgeable and experienced, spoke up at the right time: "Do you two know about Vivre Cards? Special paper made from one's fingernails. As long as you hold it, you can know the other party's movements at any time."

Issho suddenly realized: "Oh, this old man forgot about that thing."

After saying that, he drew his cane sword, cut off a small piece of fingernail, and offered it to Broly.

But Broly waved his hand with disgust: "Forget it, forget it. I have no interest in carrying a man's fingernail around. If fate allows us to meet again, I'll just ask for your help then. Anyway, to complete my idea, I still need to find two other people."

Broly's thoughts had already drifted far away.

He wanted to build a spaceship, just like the one Bulma's father designed for Son Goku, which would also include a gravity training room.

There were still countless amusements waiting for him to seek in this world, but he also knew clearly that sooner or later he would leave this planet. By then, a ship capable of traversing the universe would be indispensable.

And to realize this idea, he needed the help of at least three people: Issho with the Gravity Fruit, the world's top shipwright, Franky's master Tom, and Vegapunk.

Although he felt Vegapunk's brain circuit was a bit abnormal, he could only rely on him to build a spaceship.
