---
It started at 2:17 AM.
Which, according to Jay, was illegal.
---
She sat upright suddenly, breathing hard.
"…Keifer."
Beside her, Keifer groaned sleepily. "Mm?"
"Keifer."
Something in her tone made him open his eyes immediately.
And that's when he saw it.
Her expression.
The panic.
The pain.
---
"…Jay?"
She grabbed his arm.
Hard.
"I THINK THE BABY IS COMING."
Silence.
A very long silence.
Then—
"WHAT?!"
---
Chaos Begins
Keifer shot out of bed so fast he nearly tripped over the blanket.
"Okay—okay—we trained for this," he said nervously.
Jay stared at him. "WE DID NOT TRAIN FOR THIS."
"We watched videos!"
"THAT'S NOT TRAINING!"
---
Another contraction hit.
Jay grabbed the pillow and screamed into it.
Keifer looked one second away from passing out.
"Oh my God. Oh my God. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING SO FAST?"
Jay glared at him. "Because that's how babies WORK!"
"I KNOW THAT NOW!"
---
Then suddenly—
Keifer clapped his hands together dramatically.
"Okay. Okay. We got this."
Jay blinked painfully.
"…What?"
"We watched videos," he reminded her quickly. "Remember? Breathe in, breathe out—"
Another contraction hit instantly.
Jay nearly folded in half.
"IDIOT," she snapped. "GET ME TO THE HOSPITAL."
"RIGHT. HOSPITAL. YES."
---
The Hospital Bag Incident
Keifer ran around the room grabbing random things.
Phone charger.
Wallet.
A banana.
One shoe.
---
Jay blinked through pain.
"…Why are you holding fruit?"
"I DON'T KNOW!"
---
Another contraction.
Jay groaned loudly, gripping the edge of the bed.
Meanwhile Keifer was accidentally stuffing a TV remote into the hospital bag.
---
"WHY ARE YOU PACKING THE REMOTE?!"
"IT LOOKED IMPORTANT."
"DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED NETFLIX RIGHT NOW?!"
---
He froze.
"…Fair."
---
Even More Chaos
Jay tried standing up.
Bad idea.
Immediately another pain hit.
She grabbed Keifer's shirt so hard he nearly lost balance.
"OW."
"I AM SUFFERING."
"You're right. Continue."
---
Keifer rushed around the room again.
Wrong shoe.
Wrong jacket.
At one point he grabbed a decorative pillow.
---
Jay stared at him in disbelief.
"What are you DOING?"
"I'M PANICKING PROFESSIONALLY."
"YOU'RE FAILING PROFESSIONALLY."
---
The Water Bottle Disaster
"Okay!" Keifer said breathlessly. "Water. You need water."
Finally.
A smart idea.
---
Except he opened the bottle too fast—
and spilled it directly onto himself.
---
Jay looked at him.
Then at the water dripping from his shirt.
Then another contraction hit and she pointed at the door dramatically.
"GET. ME. OUT."
---
The Elevator Situation
Getting downstairs somehow made everything worse.
Jay was breathing heavily.
Keifer was sweating.
And the elevator was taking TOO LONG.
---
"WHY IS IT MOVING LIKE THAT?" Keifer demanded angrily.
"Because it's an elevator," Jay snapped weakly.
"IT SHOULD MOVE FASTER."
Another pain hit.
Jay grabbed his arm again.
"I CAN'T DO THIS."
"Yes you can."
"No I can't!"
"Yes you can."
"I HATE YOU."
"That's okay."
---
The elevator doors finally opened.
Keifer practically carried her inside.
Wrong floor button.
---
"WHY DID YOU PRESS THE PARKING FLOOR TWICE?"
"I'M UNDER PRESSURE."
---
The Car Ride = Emotional Damage
The second they got into the car—
Jay started crying.
Not small tears.
Actual emotional crying.
---
"It HURTS," she sobbed dramatically.
Keifer immediately started crying too.
"I KNOW."
"YOU DON'T KNOW!"
"You're right, I DON'T KNOW BUT I'M TRYING TO SUPPORT YOU."
---
Another contraction hit.
Jay screamed.
Keifer screamed with her.
---
At the red light, another driver slowly locked their car doors.
---
Meanwhile… Section E Found Out 😭
Worst mistake possible.
Because somehow—
EVERYONE showed up.
---
The hospital waiting area became complete chaos instantly.
---
"MOVE," Blaster yelled while carrying snacks for no reason.
"Why are there THIS MANY PEOPLE?" the nurse asked in horror.
"We're emotional support," Yuri answered calmly.
"You're emotionally stressful," she replied immediately.
---
David spotted Keifer pacing in circles.
Pale.
Sweaty.
Looking deeply traumatized.
---
"…Bro," David said carefully. "Why are YOU crying? Jay should be crying."
Keifer looked at him with tears in his eyes.
"…I don't know, man." 😭
---
Silence.
Then the entire hallway burst into laughter.
Even Cin bent over.
"HE'S ACTUALLY LOSING IT," Mayo wheezed.
"I'M BECOMING A FATHER," Keifer snapped emotionally.
"And somehow YOU'RE the patient," Kit replied.
---
Inside the Delivery Room
Jay looked ready to fight everyone.
Especially Keifer.
---
Another contraction hit hard.
Jay grabbed his hand violently.
Keifer yelped immediately.
"OW."
"YOU DID THIS TO ME."
Keifer nodded instantly.
"You're absolutely right."
---
The nurse tried calming them down.
"Just breathe slowly—"
Jay pointed at Keifer.
"HE'S BREATHING LOUDER THAN ME."
And somehow—
she was right.
---
Keifer was fully panic-breathing in the corner.
---
"Sir," the nurse said carefully, "you need to calm down."
"I AM CALM."
"No," Jay replied instantly. "You look like you're fighting demons."
---
Outside the room—
Section E heard another dramatic scream.
Then Keifer yelling:
"SHE'S DOING AMAZING."
Then:
"OH MY GOD."
---
David slowly looked up at the ceiling.
"…That man is never recovering from this."
---
And honestly?
He wasn't wrong.
---
