Chapter 105 - Pregnancy Arc — Chapter 1: “You’re Pregnant, Not Dying.

---

Keifer Watson had officially lost his mind.

And Jay realized this exactly three days into her pregnancy.

---

"Careful."

Jay blinked slowly. "…I'm sitting."

"I know," Keifer replied seriously. "Sit carefully."

---

Silence.

Jay stared at him.

Then at the pillow he had placed behind her back.

Then at the second pillow.

Then the blanket.

Then the water bottle.

Then the fruit bowl.

---

"…Why does it look like I'm being prepared for surgery?"

"You need comfort."

"I'm pregnant, not fragile."

Keifer narrowed his eyes slightly. "Same thing."

---

Morning Sickness = End of Civilization

At exactly 6:14 AM—

Jay ran to the bathroom dramatically.

Keifer woke up instantly.

"JAY?"

"I'M FINE."

She was not fine.

---

Five seconds later—

Keifer appeared beside her holding:

- water

- tissues

- crackers

- a towel

- somehow… another banana

---

Jay looked up weakly.

"…Why do you always have fruit?"

"I READ THINGS."

"You read WRONG THINGS."

---

She groaned dramatically against the sink.

"This is horrible."

Keifer rubbed her back carefully. "It'll pass."

Jay looked at him with betrayal in her eyes.

"You did this to me."

He accepted it immediately.

"That's fair."

---

The Craving Incident

Three hours later—

Jay suddenly sat upright on the couch.

"I need mango."

Keifer looked up from his laptop immediately. "Okay."

"And ice cream."

"Okay."

"And fries."

"…Together?"

"Yes."

He blinked once.

Then slowly closed the laptop.

"Okay."

---

Twenty minutes later—

Keifer came back carrying:

- 3 tubs of ice cream

- fries

- mangoes

- snacks

- flowers

- and baby socks for some reason

---

Jay stared at him.

"…Why did you buy baby socks?"

Keifer looked genuinely confused.

"I panicked."

---

The Emotional Breakdown Over Soup

Everything was fine.

Until lunch.

---

Jay took one spoon of soup.

Paused.

Then suddenly started crying.

Actual tears.

---

Keifer froze instantly.

"…What happened?"

"It tastes wrong."

He blinked slowly. "Wrong?"

"It's too soup-y."

"…It's soup."

"I KNOW."

Then she cried harder.

---

Keifer looked genuinely terrified now.

"Okay," he said carefully. "We can fix this."

"You can't fix soup!"

"You're right."

---

Five minutes later—

She was crying into his hoodie while he stood there awkwardly holding crackers.

---

"I'm being dramatic," Jay mumbled emotionally.

Keifer looked down at her.

Then smiled slightly.

"You've always been dramatic."

She glared weakly.

"Not helping."

---

3:47 AM — The Google Situation

Jay woke up suddenly.

Keifer was missing.

---

She walked into the living room.

And froze.

---

There he was.

Sitting on the couch.

Laptop open.

Hair messy.

Looking deeply stressed.

---

"…Keifer?"

He jumped slightly.

"You're awake."

Jay squinted at the screen.

"What are you doing?"

He immediately tried closing the laptop.

Too late.

---

"How to know if pregnancy cravings are dangerous."

"How much nausea is normal."

"Can stress hurt the baby?"

"Top 50 things pregnant women should avoid."

---

Jay stared at him softly.

"…You're scared."

He went quiet.

Just for a second.

Then looked away slightly.

"A little."

That immediately changed her expression.

---

The teasing faded.

The chaos softened.

Jay slowly walked over before sitting beside him quietly.

"You know," she said softly, "I'm scared too."

Keifer finally looked at her.

Real emotion there now.

No jokes.

No teasing.

Just honesty.

---

"What if I mess this up?" he admitted quietly.

Jay blinked slightly.

"You?"

"Yeah."

"You literally overprepared for soup today."

"That's not the point."

She laughed softly.

Then leaned against him carefully.

---

"You're going to be a good dad," she whispered.

Keifer looked down at her.

"…How do you know?"

Jay smiled faintly.

"Because you already love someone you haven't even met yet."

Silence.

Warm.

Comforting.

---

Keifer slowly wrapped an arm around her.

Then rested his hand carefully against her stomach.

Still small.

Still unreal.

But theirs.

---

"…That's terrifying," he whispered.

Jay laughed softly.

"Yeah."

Pause.

Then she added:

"But kind of beautiful too."

---

For the first time that day—

Keifer stopped panicking.

Just a little.

---

Then suddenly—

Jay gasped dramatically.

Keifer almost fell off the couch.

"WHAT?"

"…I want noodles."

Silence.

Keifer stared at her.

Then sighed deeply.

"…I'm getting my keys."

---

And just like that—

the chaos continued.

---
