Chapter 75 - Shinobu's Decision

"Sister, let me become a devil too."

"Eh!?"

Kanae was stunned looking at her sister's sudden change, but she quickly understood her thoughts.

Kanae asked, "Have you thought it through, Shinobu?"

Shinobu nodded. "I have. I don't want to be separated from you again, sister."

Looking at Shinobu's reddened eyes once more, Kanae smiled. "You don't tell this to me."

Shinobu was initially startled, then realized who Kanae was referring to. She bit her lip, her eyes firm as she nodded.

By this time, Abel had already arrived behind them.

"I heard someone wants to become a devil." Abel spoke up at this moment.

Shinobu looked back at the man who had turned her sister into a devil, her nominal brother-in-law.

"If you become a devil, everything about you will belong to me. You will be my possession, and everything will be controlled by me."

Abel met Shinobu's eyes and calmly stated, "Can you accept such terms?"

Shinobu knelt towards him. "Please, Your Excellency, I don't want to be separated from my sister."

Abel didn't expect the process to be so quick. He had an unexpected gain just after arriving. He had thought he would need more time.

However, he still wanted to tease the little butterfly in front of him.

He turned to Kanae. "Kanae, this girl doesn't even want to call me brother-in-law."

Shinobu was stunned.

Kanae understood that Abel had agreed.

She patted her silly sister, smiling as she said, "Shinobu, aren't you going to greet him?"

Shinobu's cheeks flushed slightly. After a moment of hesitation, she obediently spoke, "Brother-in-law."

Abel nodded in satisfaction. "Then, are you ready?"

"I'm ready."

"Alright."

The Devil Reincarnation Disk inside Abel began to operate.

A Knight? This girl wasn't good enough.

A Bishop? It was uncertain.

A Rook? Don't even think about it.

A Pawn? It wasn't suitable either.

In that case, she would first be reincarnated as a devil. As for what kind of piece she would be, that could be decided later.

Abel extended his hand. On his finger was the Blood of Conversion generated by the Devil Reincarnation Disk.

"Come on, swallow it."

Shinobu opened her mouth and took Abel's finger, the blood entering her body. The light of the Reincarnation Array emerged, enveloping her.

After a while, the light dissipated, and a pair of wings appeared behind Shinobu.

"Shinobu, welcome to the family."

The next day.

Inside Kanao's room, the girl slowly opened her eyes. She then sat up and stretched.

"Phew.... That felt good. Oh, right, my sisters."

Kanao seemed to remember something. Kanae had returned yesterday, and she hadn't properly greeted them yet.

She changed her clothes and ran towards the living room.

In the living room, Abel was sitting beside them, dressed in clothes Kanae had prepared, while the others were all sitting together, eating breakfast.

Kanae held a plate of breakfast, looked at her youngest sister, smiled, and called out to her, "Kanao, come eat breakfast."

"Okay, nee-san."

Shinobu and Kanae both froze for a moment, somewhat incredulous.

"What did you call us?"

"Nee-san, of course."

Facing the question, Kanao put her hands on her hips and said.

Shinobu and Kanae exchanged glances. Both were a little surprised that Kanao could speak on her own initiative and even call them sisters.

Then they looked at Abel. Abel gave them a thumbs-up and they understood the reason.

"Nee-san, I'm hungry."

"Okay, come eat."

"Mm."

...

After breakfast was finished, a Kasugai Crow flew to the Butterfly Mansion. It stood by the window and met Abel's gaze.

Then it spoke, "Good day, Abel-san."

Abel asked, "Hello, is there anything?"

The crow calmly relayed the command, "My master invites Abel-san and your companions to the headquarters for a discussion."

"Understood, thank you."

The Ubuyashiki Estate.

Surrounded by wisteria flowers, the estate resembled a house in a fairy tale flower sea.

Kagaya and his wife and children were sitting in the courtyard, basking in the sun, awaiting the arrival of the one who would break the stalemate.

Soon after, Kanae, Shinobu, and Abel's group arrived near the estate.

Looking at the vast wisteria flower sea, Asia clasped her hands in front of her chest, marveling, "So beautiful."

The others nodded in agreement.

Arriving at the estate's entrance, Kanae knocked on the door.

After a moment, the door opened. Opening the door was a child wearing a purple kimono with shoulder-length white hair.

Abel thought for a moment. The Ubuyashiki family had black-haired males and white-haired females, so this should be one of Kagaya's daughters. He just didn't know the little one's name.

As the door fully opened, the little girl in front of them bowed to everyone. "Hello, nice to meet you."

"Hello."

Abel and the others greeted her.

The girl quietly stood to the side. "Please come in, father is waiting for you."

"Thank you."

...

What greeted their eyes was a small courtyard.

A black-haired man sat at the courtyard's edge, his forehead and one eye covered by scars, looking as if he might soon lose his sight in both eyes.

Seeing the arrival of Shinobu and Abel's group, Kagaya stood up.

Looking at Kanae, Kagaya showed a relieved smile. "Kanae, welcome back."

Asia stood beside Abel, whispering, "This gentleman must be a very kind person."

Miko and the others nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Kanae and Shinobu bowed to Kagaya.

Kanae smiled and responded, "It's been a long time, Master."

Kagaya smiled and nodded, then his gaze fell on Abel, his eyes holding a hint of excitement.

During this period, his original premonition had undergone a huge change, and the person before him was the one who guided that change, and also the one who would end this millennium-long conflict.

Kagaya extended an invitation to Abel and his group, "Everyone, please take a seat."
