Chapter 165 - Perseus VS Abel

To avoid so-called casualties, everyone arrived at an open space.

Abel and Perseus stood face to face, giving a ceremonial feeling.

"My dear friend! Send this fellow back to mythology!"

"My Lord, you can do it! There will be a reward if you win!"

Facing Salvatore Doni's and Athena's encouragement, Abel smiled at them and nodded.

Suddenly, he seemed to discover something amd hia eyes narrowed.

In the forest behind Athena and the others, there was a small, black version of Athena, who licked her lips and then transformed into a black snake, lying in wait.

That was... Metis.

If she dared to make a move now, then he would absolutely not be polite.

"Campione, you can't be distracted during a duel with a god!"

At Perseus's reminder, Abel snapped back to attention and looked at him. "Sorry, I got distracted. Then, let's begin."

"You fellow!" Perseus's eyes showed displeasure.

He pointed his longsword at Abel, and said, "Now, fighting you is a hero from the age of myths, the warrior who slew the 'Serpent', Perseus!"

"State your name, Campione!"

Abel's lips curved slightly upward.

He truly was a Heretic God who loved to show off.

"Those who are about to die are not worthy to hear my name, but to prevent you from not finding me after your true form descends, I will still state my name."

"Abel Astaroth."

Perseus was angered by Abel's words. His eyes widened in fury, and he gripped his blade tightly.

He rushed towards Abel, his longsword whistling through the air as it thrust straight forward.

Abel turned his head, meeting Perseus's gaze.

Perseus found this incredulous, his speed was actually being matched.

Abel opened his mouth. "Great Sun Spirit."

Perseus's eyes widened, feeling a sudden sense of danger.

He pulled away and looked at his tattered cloak. His expression began to turn serious, he almost died before the fight even began.

"What a pity, still a bit too slow."

Abel felt a little regretful that he hadn't been able to control Perseus and crush him.

Perseus looked at Abel, his expression somewhat grave.

This Campione's ability was unfathomable. In that case, the only option was to seal it.

"O Sun of the East! Grant me strength!"

As Perseus spoke, a dazzling light like the sun appeared behind him.

This was his Sealing Authority.

"What a peculiar ability."

Salvatore Doni, who was observing, felt his Authority disconnect, as if it had been sealed.

Athena also noticed her abilities were affected.

Both were very curious about what Abel would do.

As the Sealing Authority was activated, the longsword in Perseus's hand transformed into a bow. If he couldn't fight in close combat, then he would crush him from a distance.

The Arrow of the Sun, carrying a blazing light, shot towards Abel.

Abel raised his hand and the Emperor Armor's gauntlet appeared, firmly catching the Arrow of the Sun. But the aftermath stirred up dust, engulfing him.

As a breeze blew past, Abel appeared before Perseus, completely unharmed.

At this, Perseus's pupils dilated. "No... impossible! As long as you activate your ability, you will be sealed by the sun behind me!"

"The seal of the sun? How laughable."

Abel crushed the Arrow of the Sun in his hand, then walked towards Perseus.

"There is nothing that cannot be sealed by the sun!" Perseus shouted.

The sun disk behind him shone dazzlingly again, attempting to seal Abel's abilities.

Seeing Perseus still flashing light, Abel's lips curved upward. "You really won't give up, huh? Why doesn't it affect me? Because I am..."

"Heaven's Will!"

A powerful aura erupted from Abel's body and a strong beam of light from the sky shone down on him.

As the light dissipated, Abel, clad in the Emperor Armor, appeared before Perseus.

"No... impossible!"

Perseus felt the power of the sun from Abel's body, and also a power even stronger than the sun, seemingly not belonging to this world.

"Nothing is impossible. Perseus, return to mythology."

Perseus wanted to escape. He had only just revived and hadn't had enough fun.

Wood Restraint!

Countless vines wrapped around Perseus. He tried to break free but found that he couldn't break these vines.

"Let go of me!"

Perseus struggled frantically, but it was useless.

Metal's Scythe!

Grains of iron sand appeared from the earth, then transformed into swords.

Water's Concealment!

Water molecules in the air gathered into ice cones, aiming at Perseus.

Fire's Incineration!

Raging flames ignited out of thin air, and the high temperature distorted the air.

Earth's Suppression!

The earth began to churn, rising like a towering tidal wave.

Seeing this scene, Perseus's face was filled with disbelief, then a hint of thought flashed in his eyes.

That's right!

He still had "the Sun", he could still resurrect. This was information the Campione in front of him didn't know, so he still had a chance to live.

Abel watched Perseus's constantly changing expression and knew what he was planning.

However, he couldn't let him truly die, so he would slightly hold back and let him escape.

As Abel waved his hand, swords fell, ice cones shot out, fierce flames surged forth, and earth waves pressed down from above.

Bang!

Perseus was engulfed by all the attacks.

The battle ended, and everything returned to tranquility. Only a small mound on the ground proved that Perseus had been there.

Abel dispelled the Emperor Armor and looked at the small mound before him, a smile appearing on his lips.

Perseus was "dead," but he still had a resurrection skill. It was just unknown where he would resurrect.
