Synopsis
Burn the worlds. Destroy the gods of old and new. Become the king of what was not meant to be. The year is 7500. The Empire is a relentless machine of Roman discipline and Victorian elegance, expanding endlessly across the stars via FTL travel. It is a universe of rigid order and divine oversight, but Blake Justinian Margrave is the flaw in the design. Blake seeks a throne that reality itself forbids. To claim it, he must dismantle a galactic civilization and execute the deities that rule it. But a man cannot kill a god. To achieve the impossible, Blake Justinian Margrave will have to break himself first. He must shatter his mind, discard his humanity, and unmake his very soul. Only by becoming nothing can he inherit everything. The fires are lit. The gods are waiting. The breaking begins now. One day, he may destroy a planet without hesitation, calmly biting into an apple as he issues the final command. Or he may discover that everything he believes about himself is a lie. That he was never meant to be Solrein. Or even human. The Solrein are humanity’s next creation. Genetically perfected beings with glass-like eyes of bright color. rapid regeneration. A life measured in centuries. Where humans conquer worlds, Solrein armies claim entire solar systems. Where humans fade in decades, Solrein rule for a thousand years. This is a story of advanced technology, genetic and machine evolution. Victorian refinement and Roman authority collide with a far-future universe of starships, living weapons, and engineered blood. There are no harems. No stat screens. No artificial power ladders. Just blood, sweat and tears. Only galactic war. Politics where mistakes matter. Power paid for in flesh and blood—Spellblood included, though that is something best discovered within the story itself. This is a story that listens to its readers. If you find a flaw. a mistake. or something you dislike. say so. I will always thank you for it. Welcome to The King of Solrein. Sometimes I might be away so fewer chapters some weeks but I will upload extra to make up for any missed. Meant to be a true book, A series of books. Chapter 1 - prologue

The fleet of Metal ships surrounded the large green world from all sides, top to bottom. Large and silver, with Markings of the Emperor.

The golden lions mid roar was that symbol. One the universe knew well to fear and flee from if you did not adore him. One ship ten miles in length, the capital ship, had alarms blaring and men and women rushing down halls. Some had eyes of bright neon greens or oranges, reds and purples. Solrein is what they were called. Some were probably three hundred years old, barley looking twenty years of age.

"Are the drop ships ready commander?" A man walked through the hall in a massive set of armor. Power armor of sort. Large and silver. A few inches thick and vacuum sealed, as he held a helmet in his gauntleted right hand. Standing 7 feet tall within it, when he was only 6 foot at bets without it.

"Yes King Julius! ALL nine hundred and eighty drop ships are ready at your command." A man ran beside the massive armored king. The commander had bright green eyes. And like near every other solider on the ship who went by with rifles and swords on hip. He wore a overcoat that shined off the fluorescent lights of ship. As the overcoats outside was made of metal strings woven together over the fabric, wearing a flat cap.

"I am glad to hear it. Time to crush these Free Union insects in the name of the great emperor, Valenus Von Aurelius."

The king said as he fitted the helmet on, covering his bright golden eyes with the silver helmet which beheld the design of a roaring lion, with the visor looking like that of a cats eyes.

With each step he walked into a small ship that held ten knights in armor like his and 30 soldiers who wore the overcoat that reached down to their knees like the commanders. Gears turned on the joints with each step. Gears that would break swords like twigs if caught with them. As wires, thick and then moved with each turn within the armor.

"Dropping in five! Four!" The king was saying as the drop ship doors began closing, as outside they could see bottom of the hangar below them opening up slowly.

"I hate this part every time." One of the Solrein with their bright red eyes said from the back, which was ignored.

"Three! Two! One!" The king said, and then they felt the drop ship fall for a second and boosters at the top of the ship engaged, blasting them downwards towards the planets surface.

Hundreds of more of these black tiny ships fell out from all around. In the darkness of space they swarmed like bees to the nest of the world. Their booster burning up in flames. From the world blasts of light came up blowing some ships up before they even reached the worlds atmosphere.

"We're going to die. We're going to die." One of the solider in back was in a panic until another knocked him over the head, putting him out like a light.

"Sorry my king. I would rather put him out to sleep then listen to that the whole way." The solider said, bowing towards the heavily armored king.

"You did us all a favor then solider." King Julius said as more and more drop ships were hit by the streams of light.

But the main ships fired back and bright lights filled all around the darkness. Laser shots f blast cannons filled the once near empty space from all angles and sides of the world as the drop ships landed onto a massive iron city street.
