Chapter 1 - Alexburg massacre

 ---

SCENE ONE — RENA'S APARTMENT, NIGHT

Sparse, dimly lit room. A small cot, a chipped lamp. Rain patters outside. LIGHTS UP on YOR RENA, half-asleep. A KNOCK at the door breaks the silence.

 (INTRO — VOICEOVER or PROJECTION)

 > Eternal youth. Cold-blooded. Silver hair. Beauty. The traits that make up a bloodthirsty, vile creature.

 VAMPIRES.

(KNOCKS. MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA stands in the doorway, rain on his coat.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (knocks again, impatient)

 Rena — you in there?

 YOR RENA

 (sighs, pulling a blanket up)

Ryuuma? What brings you by? It's late — I'm gonna hit the sack.

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (gruff)

Now's not the time for sleeping, idiot. We got a case.

 YOR RENA

I'm no boy. Besides — we're the same age, so—

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (interrupting)

Put on some clothes, man. (drops his voice) Four kidnappings. Seven corpses found. Three identified.

 YOR RENA

 (eyes narrowing)

 78th Street, right?

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Right. 78th Street. Get the details at the cabin — Bradd's waiting.

 YOR RENA

 Okay.

(lights fade as Rena scrambles to dress)

 BLACKOUT.

A cramped cabin converted into a makeshift briefing room. Maps pinned to the wall. Coffee cups. BRADD HARRISON leans back, exhausted. YOR RENA enters, more composed than the mood warrants.

 YOR RENA

 (cheery, forcing it)

 Yo, Harrison. How've you been?

 BRADD HARRISON

 (exhausted)

Not great, bro. The house of Langris — their daughter, Emily — her corpse was one of the seven identified.

 YOR RENA

 (flat)

 Seriously?

 BRADD HARRISON

Question is: what was she doing there?

 YOR RENA

 (elder-sibling righteous)

Eloping? Kidnapping gone wrong? Different reasons could put her there. Or — maybe she fell in love with someone who promised, "I will protect my homeland," and it got twisted. Sickos.

 BRADD HARRISON

 (gesturing to a roster)

How can you stay lively in this kind of situation? That's like you. You and the captain will be heading out with three newbies — Nory, Jack, and Kaede Higuchi.

 YOR RENA

 (aghast)

Going out to Alexburg? With three newbies? You gotta be kidding me. I don't want someone else's death on me, okay?

 BRADD HARRISON

That's why I said the captain's gonna be on this mission.

 YOR RENA

 (sighs)

Isn't the captain supposed to be the one sitting in that chair giving the mission details? This division is weird — only three members, plus three extras. That's five. Isn't it odd?

 BRADD HARRISON

 (grim)

It's what it is, boy. People have given up on the world government — call us Defense Force members, world government dogs — so they've given up on the people too. Protecting their little paradises, not even sending reinforcements when we need 'em. This world's a mess. We have a general enemy, yet we still bicker. Eighty percent of the world population is gone, and still commoners won't join the Defense Force. They say, "I don't wanna be the government's dogs." You know what the government replied?

 YOR RENA

 No. What?

 BRADD HARRISON

 (quoting bitterly)

"Then we can't be you, idiots — slaves." End of gloomy talk.

(MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA bursts in, impatient as ever.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (yells)

Hurry it up, idiot. Time for our going-out pose. Move!

 YOR RENA

 Yeah.

 BRADD HARRISON

 (still tired)

That's why you'll ever be captain in name only. Safe trip.

(SFX: ENGINE RUMBLE. Lights shift to show movement — they pile into a vehicle. The road is long, the night colder.)

 ---

TRANSITION — DRIVE TO 78TH STREET / REDLINE

(As the vehicle speeds, MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA falls quiet, nostalgia and pain crossing his face.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

78th Street Redline — not good memories I made from that place, man.

 YOR RENA

 You've been there before?

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Yup. (sighs) Tough times.

(LIGHTS SHIFT. A FLASHBACK sequence begins — stage lights become harsher, a megaphone voice echoes.)

 ---

 FLASHBACK — ALEXBURG, EVACUATION PLEA

(The town square. A nervous crowd gathers. MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA stands before them, voice shaking but firm.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Please… I beg you — evacuate! The nobles of Moon Capital have declared Alexburg the 77th Redline. You know what that means — this town is marked for death. If you stay, you will die.

 WOMAN A

 (shouting)

How can we abandon our hometown because of filthy beasts?

 WOMAN B

 (steps forward, clutching a locket)

This is our pride — our culture, our lives! My son gave his life fighting for this land. I will not abandon his memory. I would rather die here than live in shame!

 WOMAN C

Yes — we will stand and protect our town!

 MAN A

 Together! We will fight!

(The crowd cheers, defiant. But then — a low, guttural growl rips through the air. The cheering dies. Shadows slither across the rooftops. From the alleys, HALF-BLOOD VAMPIRES crawl into view — emaciated, feral, their eyes glowing red. Children scream. The townsfolk freeze.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (horrified whisper)

 No… not now…

(The HALF-BLOODS leap into the crowd. Blood sprays. WOMAN A is dragged away, shrieking. MAN A swings a spade but is torn apart in seconds. Panic erupts. WOMAN C flees, crying. The square becomes a slaughterhouse.)

 WOMAN B

(pulling out a kitchen knife, standing her ground)

 Run! Take the children! Go!

(She slashes at one creature — it screeches, staggering — but another pounces, fangs sinking into her neck. She screams, stabbing wildly, before collapsing. Blood pools beneath her. The locket slips from her hand, glinting red in the firelight.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (roaring, cutting through the mob)

 No! Get away from her!

(He slashes down two HALF-BLOODS, blood spraying, but more swarm. He kneels by WOMAN B as she trembles, her face pale.)

 WOMAN B

 (weak, gasping)

 Protect… them… please…

(Her hand falls limp. She's gone. RYUUMA stares at the locket in his blood-soaked palm, then at the corpses around him. His voice cracks as he screams at the survivors still standing.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

HAHA ,this sucks finally comes the sun

(LIGHT FADES END OF FLASH BACK )

 YOR RENA

 What happened, you look pale

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 ( Relaxed tone )

Nothing , just caught up in some thought

 YOR RENA

(SIGHS). Well if you say so

 Chapter Two: Welcome to Twilight

[Scene 1 – The Road Into Alexburg]

(Dim light. Sound of a car engine rumbling. A weather-beaten sign creaks in the wind: "WELCOME TO ALEXBURG." The street is eerily empty.)

 Ryuuma (surprised, chuckles)

Ah! The sign's still up… "Welcome to Alexburg." Funny they didn't take it down.

Yor Rena (peering out the window)

 We're in Alexburg, right?

 Ryuuma (nodding, serious)

 Yup.

 Yor Rena (frowning)

So… why is it empty? People should be walking the streets.

 Ryuuma (uneasy)

Weird… this place is usually full of life.

 Nory (half-joking, but nervous)

 Maybe they're holding a festival?

 Kaede Higuchi (hugging herself, anxious)

Festival? No… This silence is wrong. It's creeping me out.

 Yor Rena (teasing)

 Don't be so uptight.

 Jack (sniffs the air, tense)

 Wait… do you smell that?

 Yor Rena (grinning playfully)

 Sorry, I gassed.

 Nory (annoyed, then stops mid-sentence)

You wha—… no. This smell's too strong. It's… corpses.

[A low, oppressive hum fills the air. The car slows. Everyone tenses.]

Ryuuma (grim, hand on his sword, but forces a smile)

The stench is stronger ahead… Hell itself.

 (beat)

If we make it out alive—my treat. All-you-can-eat meat. Mac-Kowell's fancy restaurant.

 Yor Rena (snorts)

 Seriously?

 Ryuuma

 Yeah. Seriously.

(Silence. They turn a corner. Spotlights reveal corpses littering the street. A heavy silence. Suddenly—)

(From among the corpses, a lone voice echoes. A figure steps into the half-light: Tyler Smith. Cloaked vampires flank him. One drags a cage with a thrashing feral inside.)

 Tyler Smith (mocking, clearing throat)

Where do you think you're going? … Welcome to Twilight.

 Ryuuma (low voice)

 Damn. They caught us.

 Yor Rena (whispering)

 Twilight… the cult. Half-blooded vampires.

 Ryuuma (to the group, firm)

Stay in the car. I'll handle this.

 Nory (fearful)

No way I'm stepping into that hell.

 Yor Rena (snaps at him)

Stop trying to act cool. Your life's on the line, bro!

 Tyler Smith (smirking, circling)

Brave… or stupid? Walking into death like this.

Ryuuma (draws his sword slightly, calm)

I don't plan on dying here. Get that into your skull.

 Tyler Smith (gestures to minion)

 Bring it out.

 Vampire A (drags cage forward)

 Right away.

Tyler Smith (points to the caged feral, voice rising with bitter pride)

This… is what you call a vampire. To us? Just an animal. We half-bloods are cursed. Without blood, we lose our minds. With enough, we regain sanity. Yet—

 (angrily)

We are forbidden to enter Moon's Capital. Forbidden to even know the Emperor's name! Tell me—how can we serve a master we've never seen?

 Ryuuma (shaken, frowns)

 What are you saying?

 Tyler Smith (laughs bitterly)

We rebel because the system is a lie! And I am no leader. Our true leader is a pure-blood… from the Moon Capital.

 Yor Rena (steps forward, challenging)

 If that's true—prove it.

 Tyler Smith (bows mockingly)

Believe me or don't. My name's Tyler Smith. And soon? You'll be corpses like the rest.

 (beat, then grins viciously)

Release the dogs. Let the blood spray.

 ---

 [Scene 3 – Battle Erupts]

(Ferals charge. The team prepares. A rising drumbeat. Ryuuma takes command.)

 Ryuuma (shouts)

Nory! On my signal, start the car and retreat! No matter what—don't stop! That's an order!

 Yor Rena (low, to Ryuuma)

 Got any regrets?

 Ryuuma (calm, steady)

 None. You?

 Yor Rena (grim smile)

Three. Didn't wish my sister a happy marriage. Didn't eat your damn barbecue. And… I never confessed to Bae.

 Ryuuma (nods once)

Then live long enough to fix that.

(Unsheathes sword in a single flourish. Spotlights catch the blade's cursed glow.)

 Ryuuma (shouts)

Sword Art, First Form—Chōchō no Mai: Butterfly Dance!

(Illusions of butterflies swirl, blades cutting in unpredictable arcs. Vampires scream as they fall.)

 Tyler Smith (shocked)

Seven slashes… in one breath… graceful as a butterfly.

Yor Rena (steps in, eyes blazing, unsheathes sword)

Sword Art, Fifth Form—Tsukimichi Mangetsu to Mikazuchi!

(Phantom moons shimmer across the stage. Within the glowing arcs, hidden crescent slashes slice ferals apart. Silver light floods the scene, leaving corpses in its wake.)

 Tyler Smith (furious, bleeding)

Damn you! Let me show you true vampire power!

Blood Eclipse—Jigoku no Tama! (Hell's Ball!)

(A sphere of hardened blood swells in his palm, glowing violently.)

 Ryuuma (horrified)

He's aiming at the car! Stop—!

Yor Rena (charging, sword crackling with illusionary lightning)

Sword Art, Second Form—Ikazuchi no Kami: Thunder God!

(He slashes. Sparks and thunder illusions fill the air. But the sphere explodes—BOOM. The car is destroyed. Screams are cut short. Nory, Jack, Kaede are gone.)

 Yor Rena (screams, broken)

 You bastard!!!

 Ryuuma (furious, whirls sword)

Sword Art, Fourth Form—Yakidori: Bird Dance!

(Blades clash. Tyler staggers but steadies himself, snarling. The stage darkens. Then—sudden silence. A new presence descends.)

 ---

 [Scene 4 – The Pure-Blood Appears]

(Silver light floods the stage. A beautiful, silver-haired figure materializes. Tyler gasps, then his head is sliced clean off, his body dissolving into dust. Silence.)

 Ryuuma (whispers, trembling)

 Yor… look…

[Sukuna Akane stands, silver hair flowing, moon crests glowing in his eyes. The stage lights dim except for a pale silver spotlight on him.]

 Sukuna Akane (cold, amused)

So this was Tyler's limit. Pathetic. I overestimated him.

 Ryuuma (shaken)

 That pressure… silver hair… moon crest eyes… A pure-blood.

 Yor Rena (rage bursting, shouts)

Akane!! Sword Art, Second Form—Ikazuchi no Kami!

(He charges, but Akane parries with effortless grace. Yor falters, stunned by Akane's beauty.)

 Sukuna Akane (chuckling softly)

Yor. Don't lie to your heart.

 (draws blade, whispers)

 Blood Eclipse—Thousand Mountain Wind.

(A devastating slash. Yor barely dodges—his arm flies off. He screams. Akane seizes him by the neck, lifting him.)

 Sukuna Akane (calm, almost playful)

I spared you. My blood now flows in your veins. Your arm will grow back. Escape this town alive… and you win my game.

(raises hand, forming a spinning orb of blood)

Blood Eclipse—Rasengan. Projectiles at the speed of light. Let's see if you survive.

 (beat, smirks)

Oh—and remember. Sukuna Akane… is only an alias.

(He vanishes. The orb explodes above, shards raining down. Ryuuma shields Rena, barely dodging. The two collapse, exhausted, under dim light.)

 ---

 [Scene 5 – Aftermath]

(The stage slowly brightens to dawn. The corpses of friends lie still. Ryuuma sits, drenched in sweat, Yor beside him, his arm slowly regenerating.)

 Ryuuma (panting, bitter laugh)

 Life… is just pain.

 Yor Rena (quiet, broken)

This is why I didn't want them involved…

 Ryuuma (gazes at sunrise)

It is what it is. We'll lay the bodies to rest… then we walk.

(He lets out a hollow laugh. The lights rise slowly into a golden dawn. Curtain falls.)

(Dim light. A hospital ward. The sound of a slow, rhythmic heart monitor. YOR RENA lies unconscious. CHRISTIANA BAE clutches his hand, face buried against the sheets. YOR HARLEY leans against the wall, arms folded tightly, fighting tears. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA stands near the door, silent.)

 YOR RENA

(suddenly lurches up, screaming in pain)

 NO—!

(CHRISTIANA gasps, throwing her arms around him, trembling.)

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 (sobbing into his shoulder)

Thank God… thank God you woke up. Six days, Rena. Six days you were gone from me. I thought I'd lost you.

 YOR HARLEY

 (softly, hoarse)

Little brother… I was so scared.

 YOR RENA

 (voice cracking, eyes darting)

 Shimotsuki— is he alive?

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

(a long, tired sigh, forcing a faint smile)

Yo. Still breathing. But you… you had me worried there, man.

(Silence hangs. The weight of what's unsaid presses on them all.)

 YOR HARLEY

 (gently)

Rena… about the three. Tomorrow's the funeral. If you—

 YOR RENA

(cuts her off, voice breaking into sobs)

 I know! I know… If only I'd been stronger… Damn it—!

(He buries his face in his hands. The lights dim slowly until only his shaking form is seen. Blackout.)

 ---

(Lights rise on a dim funeral gathering. Families of the dead stand in shadows. The air is heavy with grief. A woman sobs — NORY MOM.)

 NORY MOM

 (to Rena, raw, broken)

You're the captain. Isn't it your job to protect them? To protect our children?

 YOR RENA

 (weak, trembling, trying to speak)

He… he tried. But I wasn't strong enough.

 KAEDE HIGUCHI DAD

(voice rising, tears streaking down his face)

Tried? Tried? That's all you can say? Why didn't you do better?! Every day, lives are lost! What are you even defending? Defense Force—? You're nothing but failures!

(Rena's hands curl into fists. He raises his arm, trembling with rage, but stops himself mid-swing. His voice shatters.)

 YOR RENA

You don't know… You don't know the hell Alexburg was. You don't—! (he collapses, sobbing, clutching his head)

 KAEDE HIGUCHI MOM

 (with disdain, cold)

Always so quick to violence. That's all you are.

(Shimotsuki steps forward, bowing his head, voice breaking.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

We are sorry. So, so sorry that we couldn't protect your children.

 JACK MOM

 (shaking, bitter)

And now you'll tell us they died an "honorable death," won't you?

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 No… that's not what I—

 JACK MOM

(cutting him off, fury trembling in her voice)

Then what? Hm? What excuse this time? This is meaningless. All of it. (she turns, walking away) A waste of time.

(Silence. Rena collapses into grief. Lights fade to black.)

 ---

(A dim corridor. CHRISTIANA waits, pacing nervously. BRADD HARRISON leans against the wall, smoking silently. The air feels colder here.)

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 Is Rena here?

 BRADD HARRISON

 He's out.

 CHRISTIANA BAE

When he comes… tell him I have something important.

(Rena enters from the shadows, his face pale, eyes hollow. His attempt at levity sounds forced.)

 YOR RENA

I'm starving. Treat me to another all-you-can-eat BBQ, Bae.

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (without smiling)

 In your dreams.

 YOR RENA

 (pauses, sees Christiana, voice low)

Oh. Bae. Who're you looking for?

 CHRISTIANA BAE

(snaps at him, her voice tight with anger covering grief)

You brat. After Alexburg—why didn't you file the report? Word reached Everlily before we could speak for ourselves.

 YOR RENA

 (blankly, after a pause)

 I… forgot.

 CHRISTIANA BAE

Of course you did. Doesn't matter now. You've been summoned.

 (Silence. A heavy word.)

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Summoned? By who?

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 By the World Government.

(The words hang like a blade. The sound of distant helicopter blades begins faintly, growing louder.)

 YOR RENA

World Government… hah. Am I supposed to sound shocked?

 BRADD HARRISON

 Everlily… The nobles' paradise.

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Those scum. So. When do we leave?

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 Now.

(The helicopter's roar swells. A harsh spotlight cuts through the stage. Lights snap out.)

 ---

(Projection: "EVERLILY — The Man-Made Paradise." Stage lights rise slowly on a grand palace courtyard. Cold, white light. Nobles whisper from the shadows, their faces masked.)

 YOR RENA

 (low, to Shimotsuki, bitter laugh)

Look at their hats. Funny, isn't it?

 WOMAN A

(whisper to Woman B, dripping with contempt)

What are these barbarians doing here?

 WOMAN B

I don't know. But they stink of war.

(Christiana leads them, her posture stiff, voice controlled.)

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 Follow me.

 BRADD HARRISON

 (in awe, almost fearful)

 That gate… it's enormous.

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 It's called the Northern Border.

 YOR RENA

 We're going in?

 CHRISTIANA BAE

 Yes. We're going in.

(They enter the shadow of the gates. Lights fade to black.)

 ---

(A cavernous throne room. Three figures sit in silhouette, high above. The PRIME MINISTER steps forward, voice booming yet cold.)

 PRIME MINISTER

Mister Yor Rena. Step forward. The Three Elders have graced you with their presence.

 YOR RENA

 (under his breath, trembling)

You've got to be kidding me…

 PRIME MINISTER

 Shimotsuki Ryuuma. Step forward.

 MR. SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (to Rena, quiet)

 Nervous?

 YOR RENA

 You bet.

 PRIME MINISTER

Shimotsuki Ryuuma. Tell us what happened in Alexburg. In every detail. The world is listening.

(He gestures. A faint hum fills the air — broadcasting equipment alive. A cold silence. Ryuuma's face hardens as he prepares to speak. The Three Elders lean forward into the light for the first time, their expressions unreadable.)

(Lights dim, holding only on Ryuuma's face. He inhales sharply. Blackout.)

 ---

 ---

 Scene: Testimony of Alexburg

(Lights rise. The throne room is silent, suffocating. The THREE ELDERS sit elevated in their marble seats, cloaked in shadow. The PRIME MINISTER stands at their side, cold and unreadable. A crowd of nobles listens, whispers echoing faintly. Rena and Ryuuma stand before them, stiff under the weight of so many eyes.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (steady, voice heavy)

We came to report the truth of Alexburg. What happened there… is not rumor. Not hearsay. It is what we saw with our own eyes.

(A pause. The hall grows stiller. Rena steps forward, swallowing hard.)

 YOR RENA

We arrived around seven. The streets were… strangely quiet. Too quiet.

OSCAR PETER (Elder of the Oscar House, leaning forward)

 Quiet, you say?

 YOR RENA

Yes. At first, it felt abandoned. But as we moved toward the town center, there was a smell… foul, metallic, sharp. Blood. We rushed there.

(His voice breaks slightly. He steadies himself.)

We found them. All of them. Slaughtered. The whole town. Torn apart by half-blooded vampires.

(Gasps ripple through the nobles. A woman stifles a cry. One Elder raises an eyebrow.)

 NOBLE A

But I thought you said a pureblood appeared?

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (curt, cutting him off)

With respect, sir. Let him finish.

 YOR RENA

 They called themselves The Twilight.

SOMMER ANDRE (Elder of the Sommers House)

 Twilight? Never heard of them.

 YOR RENA

Neither had I. But they claimed to be rebelling against the Vampire Domain. Their sub-leader… a half-blood named Tyler Smith.

SHEPHERD DORY (Elder of the Shepherd House)

Tyler Smith… a half-blood? And with his sanity intact? I had no idea such things were even possible.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA (aside, bitter thought)

That's because you've never left your paradise.

 YOR RENA

Every one of them… their sanity was intact. They weren't like the half-bloods we've faced before. They spoke. They reasoned.

 PRIME MINISTER

Impossible. Half-bloods are nothing but beasts. All they know is hunger for human blood.

 YOR RENA

Tyler explained it. When a half-blood is born… or when a human is bitten and changed… their bodies are starved of blood. Their instincts take over. That's why they attack without reason. But once they drink enough… their sanity returns.

 PRIME MINISTER

Born? Are you saying half-bloods are born, not just made?

 YOR RENA

That, he didn't explain. Only that once they stabilize, they leave for what he called the Lower World.

 PRIME MINISTER

 The Lower World?

 YOR RENA

 (gives a weary sigh)

Yes. He said the Vampire Domain has four realms: the Lower World… the Moon Capital… the New World… and at its center, the Imperial Palace. He said even there, no one has ever seen the Emperor. No one knows their name… or even their gender.

(Uneasy murmurs ripple through the nobles. The Elders exchange silent looks, their expressions unreadable.)

 SHEPHERD DORY

So you clashed with this Tyler.

 YOR RENA

Yes. We fought. We lost three recruits in that battle.

(His voice cracks. He lowers his gaze, fists trembling.)

 And then—

(A long silence. The weight of his words seems too heavy. Finally, he forces the last admission out, his voice a whisper.)

 A pureblood appeared.

(The word drops like a stone into water. The nobles gasp. Even the Elders shift, their composure faltering for the first time. The lights dim to black, leaving only the echo of that word in the silence: PURE.)

 ---

 .

 .

 ---

(Lights snap back to the throne room's cold glow. Silence presses against the walls. Rena straightens as if forcing the last piece of memory out of him.)

 YOR RENA

Yes. A pureblood. I think his name was — Sukuna Akane. I tried to kill him. I really tried. He— (a bitter, small laugh; the sound cracks) —he spared me. Ironic, isn't it? We crawled out of that nightmare in Alexburg and… that's the end of my report.

(He lets the words hang. The hall breathes in that name and holds it.)

(A single, stunned beat. Then the PRIME MINISTER clears his throat, slow and precise.)

 PRIME MINISTER

 Sukuna Akane. Noted.

(OSCAR PETER's hand drums once on the arm of his chair.)

 OSCAR PETER

A pureblood… in Alexburg. If this is true, the balance we've maintained is broken. This cannot be allowed to stand.

 SOMMER ANDRE

 (cold, calculating)

If a pureblood moves this freely, then either the Vampire Domain is shifting — or the Defense Force has been compromised. Which is it?

 SHEPHERD DORY

 (to Rena, quietly lethal)

You led men to their deaths and return with tales of mercy from monsters. Why should the World Government trust your account?

(Rena's jaw tightens. Ryuuma's hand finds his shoulder — a quiet anchor.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Because we have no reason to lie. We lost good people. We know what a lie looks like, and this is not it.

(Murmurs ripple. The Elders exchange looks — not of disbelief, but of consequence. The Prime Minister inclines his head; an edict forms in the silence.)

 PRIME MINISTER

The World Government will not let this go unanswered. We will investigate. Effective immediately: a commission will be formed. You — and your unit — will remain under our supervision until the matter is resolved.

(Rena's face blanchs. The hall's air turns colder, bureaucratic.)

 YOR RENA

(soft, a sound somewhere between plea and warning)

If you send soldiers to the Lower World without knowing what we faced… you will bury more of them.

(The Prime Minister regards him with unreadable eyes.)

 PRIME MINISTER

We will take that under advisement. For now — leave the chamber.

(Rena and Ryuuma turn. As they walk away, whispers swell: "Sukuna Akane," "pureblood," "investigation." The light narrows on Rena's retreating back — a small, broken silhouette against a vast, indifferent power.)

 (Blackout.)

---(Lights rise again in the throne chamber. Hours have passed. Rena and Ryuuma stand at the foot of the dais, summoned once more. The atmosphere is iron-heavy — nobles packed into the hall, Defense Force banners lowered behind them.)

 PRIME MINISTER

 (solemn, deliberate)

By edict of the World Government, effective this day: Shimotsuki Ryuuma is hereby recognized as Captain of the Defense Force, Area F, Third Division.

(A beat. Applause scattered, cautious. Ryuuma bows, his hand briefly tightening on Rena's shoulder.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

With respect — if Area F faces pureblood interference, the Defense Force alone cannot contain it. We urge this council: send elite detachments into the sector.

 YOR RENA

(steps forward, voice low but unyielding)

My men died there. If you send common troops blindly, you will feed the ground with more corpses. Let nobles carry the weight too.

(A rustle of discontent. Nobles stiffen in their seats. The Prime Minister raises a hand — calm, yet cold.)

 PRIME MINISTER

No. A noble's duty is to guard Everlily. A commoner's duty — to guard the borders. This balance has stood for centuries. It will not be altered here.

(Murmurs. Some approving. Some uneasy. Then a voice cuts through — raw and furious.)

 MARCUS LANGRIS

 (steps forward, eyes burning)

Alexburg falls under Area F's jurisdiction. My sister's body was found among the seven you dragged back. Where were you, Yor Rena, when she begged for her life?

(The hall freezes. Rena's jaw clenches. He does not rise to the bait. Instead, he speaks with chilling steadiness.)

 YOR RENA

I want compensation. Three of my men lie in graves for Everlily. Their families deserve more than silence.

(Marcus laughs — sharp, cruel. He sweeps his gaze across the nobles.)

 MARCUS LANGRIS

Compensation? Commoners live to protect nobles with their lives. That is their payment.

(Some nobles nod. A ripple of agreement. Marcus presses the knife deeper.)

 MARCUS LANGRIS

But if you crave balance — then take it here. Fight me. To the death. Let your plea for justice bleed out on this floor.

(A stunned silence. The Elders exchange wary glances. Rena tilts his head — eyes dark.)

 YOR RENA

If I kill you, Marcus… who takes responsibility for your death?

 MARCUS LANGRIS

 (smiles, savage)

 My father. And Everlily itself.

(The Prime Minister inclines his head. The pact is sealed. Attendants bring forth ink and parchment — blood-signed under watchful eyes.)

(A hush falls as both men step into the open space of the hall. Nobles lean forward, breathless.)

(Swords unsheath with a ringing steel chorus. Marcus's blade gleams with otherworldly light. Rena's cursed steel hums, black and hungry.)

 MARCUS LANGRIS

Divine Art — First Form: Rengoku no Honō! (Purgatory Flame!)

(A pillar of fire blooms, roaring up around his blade.)

 YOR RENA

Sword Art — Second Form: Ikazuchi no Kami! (Thunder God!)

(A crack of lightning. The chamber explodes with blinding brilliance.)

 (A single instant. Then silence.)

(Marcus's head falls. His body collapses with a hollow thud. The fire gutters out.)

(Gasps. Nobles recoil, horrified. Some stand in outrage. Ryuuma's eyes widen, disbelieving. Even the Elders remain momentarily stunned.)

 OSCAR PETER

 (hoarse, under his breath)

 A mere sword art… against divine flame…

(The hall ripples in panic — nobles shouting, calling for dissolution of the Defense Force. Order teeters on the edge of collapse.)

 PRIME MINISTER

(voice like iron, cutting through the storm)

Enough! Yor Rena is relieved of his post.

(A shocked beat. Rena stands frozen, his blade lowering. Whispers rise, poisonous, unstoppable.)

 PRIME MINISTER

But the Defense Force will not be dissolved. To preserve balance and peace, its name is hereby changed. Henceforth, Area F's guardians shall be known as… the Anti-Redline Squad.

(The words crash over the chamber. Murmurs turn to debates, but the edict holds. Rena sheathes his sword — his eyes distant, unreadable. Ryuuma steps close, torn between pride and grief. The Elders exchange grave, knowing looks — the price of one duel reshaping the fate of Everlily.)

 (Blackout.)

 Private Fallout

(Lights rise dim on a stone corridor outside the throne hall. Rena leans against the wall, his breath still ragged from the duel. The echo of Marcus's fall clings to him like smoke. Ryuuma enters, closing the heavy doors behind them. Silence stretches, sharp and suffocating.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (low, restrained fury)

What were you thinking? You cut him down in front of the Elders — in front of every noble in Everlily.

(Yor Rena doesn't look up. His fingers tremble as they wipe blood from his sword's edge.)

 YOR RENA

If I hadn't, he would've burned me alive. That's what they wanted. A commoner on his knees, ash in his mouth.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 (steps closer, voice breaking)

You proved them right instead. Now they'll use you as the monster they whisper you are.

(Rena finally meets his eyes — hollow, exhausted, but burning faintly with defiance.)

 YOR RENA

Better a monster who survived… than a pawn who died quiet.

(A beat. Ryuuma's jaw works, torn between anger and loyalty. At last, he grips Rena's shoulder hard, grounding him.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Then live with it. Whatever comes next — you carry it, not me.

(Rena nods once, a broken acknowledgment. Lights fade.)

 ---

Scene Two — The Anti-Redline Squad

(Lights rise on the great hall again, days later. Banners of the Defense Force are lowered, replaced with stark insignia — a black line cleaved by a red stroke. Nobles and commoners crowd the chamber in uneasy silence. The Prime Minister stands at the dais, flanked by the Elders.)

 PRIME MINISTER

By decree of the World Government, the Defense Force of Area F is dissolved. In its place… the Anti-Redline Squad shall rise. A singular command. A united front.

(Murmurs ripple — some scandalized, some approving, some wary.)

 SOMMER ANDRE

 (cold, to the assembly)

This squad will answer directly to the Elders. Its duty: to hunt and contain the threats the Redline breeds. Purebloods. Aberrations. Dissidents.

 OSCAR PETER

 (grim, resolute)

Nobles and commoners alike will serve within it. The line between them will hold no weight.

(More ripples. Shock. Outrage. But beneath it all, a current of fear.)

(The new captains are announced: SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA at the head. Several hand-picked nobles and commoners stand, some glaring across the aisle, others already tense with distrust.)

(The camera of light shifts to Rena, seated in the shadows, stripped of rank but not of presence. Whispers follow him, bitter and fearful. His face is unreadable, but his hand curls faintly into a fist.)

 SHEPHERD DORY

 (to the assembly, final)

So it is decreed. The Anti-Redline Squad is born. Remember this moment — for Everlily stands on a knife's edge.

(The chamber erupts — applause, arguments, clashing voices. Above it all, the new insignia looms like a wound cut into the banners of Everlily.

The Announcement of the New Redline

A road outside Everlily — late afternoon. Dust hangs in the air. The group is gathered, stretched thin and ragged from their recent mission.

 YOR RENA

Finally back home. Man, that was one hell of a trip.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Yeah. Sure was. Rena — gonna miss you, bro.

 YOR RENA

It is what it is. See you around.

 BRADD HARRISON

We'll come by now and then. Don't be a stranger, okay?

 YOR RENA

 Gotcha. Well, then —

(Two weeks after the Everlily incident. The town feels quieter than it should.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 It's oddly quiet.

 BRADD HARRISON

 You think so?

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Ever since the Anti-Redline squad formed, the half-blooded activity's died down. Too quiet. What's your read?

 BRADD HARRISON

 I don't know. Maybe they're regrouping… preparing for something.

(A crackle of static, then a live transmission from the Moon's capital blares from a battered radio. Everyone falls silent.)

 VOICE ON RADIO (formal, measured)

By order of the Council: we hereby declare the establishment of the 78th Redline — Area F.

(Cold silence. Ryuuma clenches his jaw.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

This is bad. So that's been their plan all along. Damn it. They'll be coming for us. How many soldiers can we muster?

 BRADD HARRISON

 About a hundred and fifty.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 …That's it?

 BRADD HARRISON

I asked Everlily for reinforcements. The Anti-Redline squad falls under the Three Elders' command; they claimed they'll only provide strategic counsel. Manpower — they said — we handle ourselves.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Those scumbags. What about the strategies?

 BRADD HARRISON

They're swamped. Said to expect a plan in two weeks.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 We don't have two weeks.

(A distant scout's voice snaps through the radio — urgent, breathless.)

 NORRISON COOPER (over radio)

Ryuuma, west — fifty half-bloods sighted. They're moving fast. Still wild.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Bradd, take command here. I'm heading out. If they come, we hit them hard.

(That was the worst decision I ever made — worse than the first day I wore a captain's cloak.)

 BRADD HARRISON

Understood. Hold position and fortify the perimeter. We'll slow them long enough.

(Bradd reaches down, palms pressed to the dirt. He begins to chant, voice low and steady. The earth answers — faint crimson filaments creep across the ground, forming an ancient rune.)

 BRADD HARRISON (whisper)

 Blood-eclipse life-conversion — Enternity Summoning Technique.

(The rune flares. A cold wind lifts hair and dust. The circle hums with old, dangerous power.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Bradd—what the hell are you doing

 BRADD HARRISON

 Goodbye, Ryuuma.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Huh? What do you mean—

 BRADD HARRISON

 Exactly what I—

(Blood swirls violently, consuming Bradd Harrison's body. The ground trembles as a dark aura fills the air.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Ahh… on your knees, lowly beings.

(A towering figure emerges — Bastie Shammrock, the Pureblood Vampire of the Moon's Capital and its Minister.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

What the hell—? Bradd, what's happening?!

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Huh. So that was his name.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Those features…

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Blood Eclipse: Red Repelling Blood!

(A droplet forms at his fingertip, radiating deadly pressure. The air ripples — anything caught before it is blasted away.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 What kind of attack—gravity?

Sword Art: Second Form — Ikazuchi no Kami! (Thunder God!)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Ohh, a human that can withstand it? This might be interesting.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Norrison! Spread the word — a Pureblood has appeared! Mobilize everyone capable of fighting, or this'll be a one-sided slaughter!

 (A brave soldier charges forward.)

 MAN A

You're the one who did it! Die — this is for my family!

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Stop! He's too—

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 As stubborn as a cockroach.

(He waves his hand — the man bursts apart instantly.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

You bastard! Look what you've done!

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Don't get cocky, lowlife. He should be grateful — to die by the hand of a graceful being such as myself.

Wait... was that supposed to be an act of vengeance? How laughable.

 ---

Scene: The Arrival of Bastie Shammrock (Continued)

 YOR RENA

 Yami Ryuu Hiden Jutsu: RYUSEI!

(Darkness fills the sky — a crimson light cuts through as Rena descends like a meteor, his blade glowing with crushing force.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Hoh… humans and their strange techniques. Pointless struggles.

 (He smirks, eyes glowing red.)

 Hey — what's your name?

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Shimotsuki Ryuuma!

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Shimotsuki Ryuuma, huh?

Then let me ask you something — do you understand what gravity truly is?

(He raises his hand; the air distorts as blood energy spirals between his fingers.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

What you just saw was the force of repelling.

But what happens if I combine it… with the force of attracting?

 Heh, even I don't know.

Blood Eclipse — HOLLOW BLOOD SPHERE!

(A massive sphere of swirling blood forms — a chaotic storm of attraction and repulsion threatening to devour everything around it.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Throughout these human lands… I alone am the honored one.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 RENA!!! LOOK OUT!

 YOR RENA

 That thing… it's bad news.

 A direct hit means death.

Time to put that into action.

(He grips his cursed blade tightly, whispering an ancient technique.)

 YOR RENA

Autumn Breath — First Step: EARTH GRASP!

(Dark tendrils of energy pull Rena into the ground, propelling him forward at blinding speed. The movement looks almost like teleportation.)

If I change my trajectory now—

 Yes! It worked!

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Impressive…

(His eyes narrow, a grin spreading.)

 He's coming!

(BOOM — the ground explodes as Rena's sword crashes against Bastie's guard. The impact shatters the landscape. Ryuuma is thrown backward by the sheer force.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Rena!

(The dust clears. Bastie stands unharmed — not a single scratch on his body.)

 YOR RENA

 No… scratch… not even one?

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Tch!

Sword Art — First Form: CHO CHO NO MAI! (Butterfly Dance!)

(He swings gracefully, slicing the air in patterns to regain balance mid-air.)

 Rena! Are you alright?!

 YOR RENA

 I'm fine!

(The two stand side by side — breathing heavily, facing the Pureblood who towers before them with calm, terrifying confidence. The crimson light of the Blood Sphere reflects in their eyes.)

 ---

 Scene: The Blood Moon Descends

(The battlefield burns. Smoke rises over shattered earth. Ryuuma and Rena kneel, bloodied and breathing heavily. Bastie Shammrock steps forward — calm, radiant, cruel.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Pain… anguish… the wish to sacrifice yourself for others — those feelings... I do not understand.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

A hero has more to protect… than just himself.

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Oh? So you fancy yourself a hero then?

Tell me, Ryuuma — can you save the people of this land?

Hmph. The thought of a one-sided slaughter does not sit well with me.

So go on… offer me your futile resistance.

(He moves forward. Ryuuma struggles to lift his sword — too weak. Rena staggers, trying to intercept, but his body won't respond.)

(Suddenly — a flash. A sword slashes through the air, glowing white-hot.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

Divine Art — Rengoku no Honō! (Purgatory Flames!)

(A torrent of fire engulfs the field — flames burn with the speed and heat of judgment. Bastie's form is cut, his aura flaring in shock. The ground turns molten beneath him.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Are you guys alright?

 YOR RENA

Do we look alright to you? …But thanks.

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Why is a noble here? I thought—

 SOMMERS LUFAS

Well, I kinda came on my own.

 The story's… complicated.

How about I explain later? Right now—

 (He raises his sword.)

—let's take care of this Pureblood first.

 Can you two still stand?

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

 Kind of…

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Good enough.

Divine Art — Heaven and Earth!

(Light and darkness swirl around his blade. He slashes upward — a brilliant arc toward the heavens — then downward, cutting through the earth, splitting the battlefield in two.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Ho… not bad. But—

 (He stiffens, shocked.)

 —Huh? What—!?

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 I knew you'd take that attack head-on.

But you didn't know — it touches the soul directly.

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 It hurts…

Compared to that boy's attack earlier… it hurts!

(His expression twists in rage. Blood flares from his skin like wings.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Blood Eclipse — Presence of God's Demeanour!

(The air turns crimson. Gravity collapses as blood vapor infuses the atmosphere. The ground shatters — those caught within feel their bodies being crushed under divine pressure.)

(Ryuuma, Rena, and Lufas combine their strength — lightning, darkness, and light intertwining. Their blades clash with Bastie's blood aura, sending shockwaves through the crimson storm.)

 NARRATION (V.O.)

For the first time, the Pureblood's calm wavered.

 Three humans — one Pureblood.

The impossible — happening before the red moon.

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

This is the second time I've been pushed this far…

I didn't want to use it against humans — it's embarrassing!

But the situation calls for it.

(He spreads his arms wide, blood pouring from his palms into the sky.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 The peak of blood manipulation…

A technique even Purebloods struggle to achieve!

Only a chosen few reach this height.

Watch carefully, mortals — engrave this into your pathetic minds!

(Thunder cracks. The moon darkens. A crimson eclipse forms above them — reality warps as blood rain begins to fall.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 A spectacular grand stage!

Blood Domain — Kurenai Getsurei no Seichi!

(Sacred Ground of the Crimson Moon!)

(The world transforms — everything turns red.

A massive blood moon fills the sky, its reflection spilling across a cathedral made of living veins.

The air is heavy — suffocating. Even sound bends under the pressure.)

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

What… in the hell is this?!

 YOR RENA

 ...…

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 A Domain… huh.

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Perfect — if I say so myself.

 Eclipse Commandment: Flow of Dominion!

(Blood surges through the cathedral. The stained-glass walls pulse with veins; the ground becomes a sea of crimson.

Every being inside freezes — their hearts beating only when Bastie wills it.

At the center, he stands calm and radiant, as if presiding over his creation.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Now…

Let's get the party started, you lowlife forms.

(The moonlight deepens to black-red. The screen fades to silence.)

 ---

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 COME HERE, INSECTS!

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

My body… it's moving on its own!

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Tch… this is troublesome.

(Due to his perfect control over the domain, Bastie stops Ryuuma's heart with a single thought — then violently rips out his left arm.)

 YOR RENA

 NOOOO! HOW DARE YOU!

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

(He swings his hand — Rena's two legs burst apart instantly, leaving only his torso and arms.)

Can you stop that noise, you insect?

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Are you enjoying this, huh?

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 That's a certain boy.

 SOMMERS LUFAS

The only way to break a Domain…

is for the opponent to create a stronger one within,

or for someone outside to destroy it.

But no human alive possesses that kind of strength.

 Though—

that rule only applies to the newbies.

(He grips his blade tightly, his aura shifting between holy light and cursed darkness.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 On my own…

 I can kill a Pureblood — if it's one-on-one.

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

 Oh, big words.

But how does a human know so much about Domains?

 (thinking) Well, that doesn't matter.

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Cursed Domain…

 SOMMERS LUFAS

CURSED DOMAIN — HŌKAI TENGOKU! (Heaven's Collapse!)

(The world around Lufas fractures like glass. Light and darkness bleed into each other, forming a colossal cathedral of collapsing halos. Black flames rain from the heavens like dying stars, while golden spears of light pierce through them.

Inside this realm, Heaven and Hell coexist — an eternal battlefield where divine law and cursed wrath wage endless war.

Every swing of his sword carries the judgment of both sides.

The domain manifests as a massive, inverted cathedral suspended in an endless void — its ceiling glowing with angelic light while its floor burns with cursed fire.

At the center stands Sommers Lufas — The Fallen Saint.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

Heaven is no place for men.

We are creatures of sin — trying to wield divine light.

And in doing so… we fall again and again,

until Heaven itself collapses before our will.

 Inverse Polarity — Dark Reconstruction!

(He channels the power of darkness into light — transforming it into healing energy.

Rena's legs and Ryuuma's arm regenerate completely, restored by cursed divinity.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

Divine Art — TENRIN ZETSUMEI! (Heavenly Wheel of Annihilation!)

(He summons a gigantic rotating halo, forged from both light and darkness.

When he swings his sword, the halo follows — slicing through anything in its path.

It doesn't just cut matter… it cuts fate itself, erasing the enemy's next movement or spell if it connects even once.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

My Cursed Domain doesn't just attack the body —

 it judges the soul's balance.

 Those with guilt or regret…

 feel unbearable spiritual weight,

as if Heaven itself is rejecting them.

(Bastie Shammrock's Blood Domain represents divine tyranny and control —

while Sommers Lufas's Cursed Domain represents rebellion against divinity itself:

a human daring to wield both god and demon power in defiance of fate,

 to protect life )

Scene: Clash of Domains — Blood vs Curse

(The two Domains collide — crimson and black light twist violently, swallowing the battlefield. The Blood Domain's living cathedral groans as cracks spread across its veins. The sky above fractures like broken glass, half crimson, half void.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Impossible… my Domain — being overwritten?!

 SOMMERS LUFAS

 Your control is divine, Bastie…

But divinity born of arrogance can't outlast sin embraced by will.

(He raises his sword — the halo of light and darkness behind him expands, clashing against the Blood Moon above. Every flare of energy shakes the heavens.)

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

You dare speak of divinity, human?!

 How indespicable

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Blood Eclipse Art — Scarlet Judgment!

(Dozens of spears made of compressed blood energy rain from the crimson moon, their impact shattering the very structure of Lufas's domain. Each explosion sends waves of gravity rippling outward.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

Divine Art — Heavenly Null Field!

(Light bursts forth — each spear melts before reaching him, dissolving into streams of dark gold mist. Behind him, the inverted cathedral flickers, stabilizing under his will.)

 SOMMERS LUFAS

( Coughs out blood ) This is bad

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

Oh ho ( grin) now I get it a technique that uses the users life force as a catalyst, hey boy if you keep that up you will did I'm sure you know that

 SHIMOTSUKI RYUUMA

Damn it hey LUFAS that technique you used tell me the activation criteria so that I-

 SOMMERS LUFAS

I won't try that if I were you cause that's just one step in digging your grave

 BASTIE SHAMMROCK

This battle so far I only lost an arm but what about you , looking exhausted and gasping for air

I am strong , I am fate ,I am the law , I am absolute I am God and I am infinite you got that you insolent creatures ( REGENERATED his arm )
