My father chose to give the spot to her.
A four year old girl going to an elite primary school just because she was a bit smarter was crazy! Then he cut ties with me, saying that I would ruin his honor because I am average or something like that. After that, they took my clothes that had the crest of my family as I was proud; they took all of them and burned them. I had to buy new clothes with my money and I accidentally used a lot of the money he gave me for the same quality clothes that I had and I didn't have enough for a good house, but I still chose one. I was so blinded by rage that I forgot to hold back economically and ended up eating a lot of depression snacks which meant high gourmet meals with women twice my age. ( I didn't tell this one to Jim ) Yeah, so obviously I couldn't manage the high costs and I had to sell everything I owned to be able to survive and even then I lost all of it gambling on a sad night where I remembered the pain I had when he chose her and I ended up homeless in this city with you in this small corner as a roommate.
The End
« I know you are lying, » he said; and after a long pause muttered in a shy tone « You are one of the smartest people I know in my life and I met people on my journey as a musician. There is no way that you became that smart or that you did that stupid stuff while being that smart, you know what I mean? »
- « Doesn't matter anyway. It's not like it will change the past if I talk about my real misdeed. »
« True. », he said.
He then spotted a new late night walker and pleaded with him for money while pointing at me, as always, I was the one to use for pity because I was 14.
« Yessss! 10 copper coins this time. We can buy a real meal. Little boy you are a gift from heaven itself. »
- « The only time you care about me is when you're bored or when I get you money. »
After a short argument, we decided that we would use the money we gained today for food only. What I mean by that is that Jim and I had to choose between two things everyday: Sleep or Food. On days when we felt that we could managa our hunger we would got into an inn and beg the shopkeeper for two small mats and a little corner he could give us to sleep inside his warm inn for the night.
After eating, we slept on cardboard mats on the rough floor. In the morning, Jim was the first to wake up and called me by my name. He only did this two times in our whole period of knowing each other. The first time was when I showed my ID to a shopkeeper to enter a free lottery event and that he managed to get a glance on it and said it. I immediately told him to never say it again because I didn't like it. I had the same name as my father. The second time he did was when a police officer was running in our direction when he saw us in a huge public space that attracted tourists.
« What the hell is happening, Dave! Wake up! Wake up! », he had difficulty pronouncing his sentence as if he was scared; and he was.
« I told you to never call me that again ! Call me Morek that's my mom's last name and my middle name. I already told you! », I said while waking up.
I looked at the direction that Jim was pointing and saw something that was monstrous yet beautiful. It looked surreal and was transparent or close to it at least. It descended from the sky and if you looked at it really carefully, you would see its only colored features. Its black eyes that were like looking at an endless void and an object that looked like a microphone.
« Ah, ITS TIME FOR OUR BIGGEST EVENT !»
