Chapter 13 - Monsters of the Old Era

[Location: Hakumai Coast]

The standoff was legendary.

On one side, the Beast Pirates.

Kaido had reverted to his Hybrid form—humanoid but scaled, horns scraping the sky, Kanabo resting on his shoulder.

Ren stood to his right, flanked by Itachi, Kisame, Kakuzu, Deidara, and Hidan.

King and Queen stood to the left, weapons drawn.

On the other side, the Whitebeard Pirates.

Prime Whitebeard stood center.

Marco (1st Div), Jozu (3rd Div), Vista (5th Div), and Thatch (4th Div) fanned out.

Behind them, a young Shanks (age 19) and Buggy (age 19) watched with wide eyes. (They were still part of Roger's remnants or visiting, but given the timeline, let's say Marco brought strong allies, or just the core crew). Correction: Shanks and Buggy would have left by now to start their own crews. Let's stick to the core Whitebeard Commanders.

"You look good, Newgate," Kaido rumbled. "For a relic."

"And you look like a lizard who crawled out of his hole," Whitebeard retorted. His eyes scanned the group. "Where is he? My card says Oden is fading."

"He's in Udon," Ren spoke up. "He's alive. For now."

Whitebeard's eyes locked onto Ren. "The summoner. Marco told me about the water technique. You're dangerous."

"Give him back," Whitebeard commanded, raising his blade. "And I might only break half your bones."

"We can't do that," Kaido laughed. "I broke him! I won! Wano is my territory now!"

"Then you die."

Whitebeard moved.

It was terrifyingly fast for a man of his size. He was in front of Kaido in a blink.

Bisento vs Kanabo.

CRASH.

The heavens split. This wasn't a metaphor. The clouds literally parted in a straight line across the entire sky of Wano. The red and black lightning of dual Conqueror's Haki coated the beach, foaming the mouths of the weaker pirates instantly.

Ren was forced to kneel, using chakra to reinforce his legs just to stay upright.

"Attack!" King shouted. "Help Kaido-san!"

King and Queen charged.

"Oh no you don't," Marco flew in, blue flames blazing. "Phoenix Brand!" He kicked King out of the air.

Jozu slammed into Queen. Diamond Tackle!

The battle erupted.

The Akatsuki vs. The Commanders.

Ren saw the battlefield descending into chaos. He had to manage the variables.

"Itachi!" Ren yelled. "Take the Swordsman!"

Itachi flickered, his Sharingan spinning. He intercepted Vista.

"Flower Swordsman," Itachi said calmly.

"Oho? The ninja with the red eyes?" Vista twirled his mustache. "Let's see if your illusions work on a master of Haki!"

"Kisame! Keep Jozu wet! If he's wet, he might slip!" (Ren was improvising).

"I'll drown the diamond!" Kisame charged.

"Hidan! Deidara! Create havoc!"

Hidan ran straight at Whitebeard.

"HEY OLD MAN! SACRIFICE TIME!"

Whitebeard didn't even look. He backhanded Hidan without breaking his lock with Kaido.

SPLAT.

Hidan exploded into a red mist.

"HIDAN!" Ren screamed.

But the mist swirled. The grey paper ash pulled Hidan back together instantly. Hidan reformed, looking furious.

"THAT HURT! I'M GOING TO CURSE YOU!"

Whitebeard's eyes widened slightly. "Logia? No... he felt solid."

That momentary distraction was what Kaido needed.

"Thunder Bagua!"

Kaido swung with full force into Whitebeard's ribs.

BOOM.

Whitebeard skidded back ten meters, carving trenches in the sand. He spat a wad of blood.

"Good swing, brat," Whitebeard grinned, wiping his mouth. "You've gotten stronger since God Valley."

Whitebeard grabbed the air. A bubble of white light formed around his fist.

"But not strong enough."

He punched the empty space.

The air cracked. The shockwave hit Kaido point-blank.

It wasn't just a physical hit. The vibration bypassed Kaido's scales. It vibrated his internal organs. It shook his brain inside his skull.

Kaido's eyes rolled back. He collapsed to one knee, vomiting blood.

"Captain!" King shouted, trying to disengage from Marco.

"Don't look away, yoi!" Marco kicked King into a cliff.

Whitebeard walked toward the kneeling Kaido. He raised his bisento, the blade glowing with advanced Armament Haki (Ryuo) and Quake power.

"I'm taking Oden back," Whitebeard said. "And I'm taking your head."

Ren watched in horror.

Kaido was losing. Prime Whitebeard was simply on another level. If Kaido fell here, the Beast Pirates were finished. Ren would be executed.

"I have no choice," Ren whispered.

He looked at his chakra reserves. They were low. He looked at his gathered sacrifices—he had one stored in a scroll, a samurai general from the Udon suppression.

"I need a God," Ren said, his voice trembling.

He slammed his hands onto the ground.

[System Override.]

[Target: Apex Power.]

[Sacrifice: Elite Samurai General + 50% Max Chakra.]

[Summoning: Madara Uchiha.]

Ren screamed as the chakra was ripped from his coils. It felt like his veins were on fire. Blood poured from his nose.

The coffin rose from the ground. It was distinct—heavy, ornate, ominous.

The lid crashed open.

A man stepped out. He wore red crimson armor over black robes. His long, spiky hair flowed in the wind. His eyes were closed.

He took a deep breath.

"This chakra..." the man whispered. "It feels... wild."

He opened his eyes.

Red. The Mangekyou Sharingan.

Madara Uchiha.

Madara looked around. He saw the chaotic battlefield. He saw the giant dragon-man kneeling. And he saw the Golden Giant standing with a glowing blade.

"Newgate?" Madara tilted his head. "No... different world. Different wars."

Ren crawled forward, gasping for air. "Madara... stop... the Whitebeard."

Madara looked down at Ren with disdain. "You summon me in this state? Disgraceful."

But then Madara looked at Whitebeard. He felt the Haki. The sheer, overwhelming pressure of the Strongest Man in the World.

A grin—predatory and excited—spread across Madara's face.

"However," Madara said, crossing his arms. "That one... he looks like he can dance."

Whitebeard paused. He looked at the new arrival. His instincts were screaming.

"Another dead man?" Whitebeard frowned. "You smell like old dust. But your eyes... they are dangerous."

Madara stepped forward, ignoring Kaido.

"I am Madara Uchiha," he declared. "Show me your power, warrior of this world!"

Madara's eyes spun.

Susanoo.

Blue chakra erupted from him. It didn't stop at the ribcage. It formed a skeleton. Then muscle. Then armor.

A massive, blue, four-armed giant rose above the beach, drawing two spectral swords.

Whitebeard looked up at the Susanoo. He didn't look afraid. He looked eager.

"A giant ghost?" Whitebeard laughed. "Interesting!"

Whitebeard coated his bisento in a Quake bubble the size of a house.

"Come then, Ghost!"

Madara (Susanoo) vs. Whitebeard.

The clash shook the entire island of Wano. The ground turned to liquid. The sky turned black.

Ren lay in the dirt, watching the titans fight.

This, Ren thought as his consciousness faded, is how we survive. We match a monster with a god.
