Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: Preemptive Strike

These were made by Arthas, who then had Tarecgosa help with the enchantment—a favor for which he had promised her benefits. By having her join his business, he created a hub for connection, allowing them to chat more often in the future. The first step is always the hardest. Getting this female blue dragon into his bed required not just strength, but also a patient hunt!

Keristrasza placed a hand on her hip, striking a seductive pose.

"Your Highness, would you like to send a pair to Her Majesty the Queen? She will definitely love them!"

"Er, I don't know her foot size. They'd have to be custom-made." Arthas rubbed his nose. Ordinary red dragons were hard enough to handle, let alone the Red Dragon Queen. It wasn't just about the physical body, but about having a status that could match hers!

"That's easy. Just make them with stretchable magical material," Keristrasza said with a wink. She was growing more and more curious about this human prince, especially since her good friend Emeriss willingly mated with Arthas every night. This piqued her interest even more.

"Alright, I'll try to get them done today." After speaking, Arthas lowered his head and continued to ponder. How was he to break this stalemate? Playing political games was too difficult for him. Turning the tables with cunning schemes? He didn't have that kind of skill. If it were a matter of killing, that would be much simpler.

"Your Highness seems troubled. Why not tell me about it? I might be able to help. As long as Your Highness remembers to give me a little reward, hmm, that delicious essence!" Keristrasza licked her lips. Just last night, she had seen Arthas give Emeriss some life essence to use. Even through the window, she could feel a thrill that made her very soul tremble. It was a kind of power! For a fleeting moment, she had wanted to drop all pretense and snatch it. But in less than a second, she had restrained her desire.

The reasoning was simple. If it were truly that easy to obtain, why would the two Queens spare Arthas? Why would the other Dragon Aspects spare Arthas? This was clearly an opportunity to enhance one's power! Until she figured it out, she would not act rashly.

Arthas looked up at Keristrasza. The allure and craving in her eyes were impossible to hide. It wasn't a craving of lust, but a craving for power.

"The essence is very precious. I still need to save some for their Majesties, the two Queens."

"Just a little! Just a little will do!" Keristrasza couldn't help but lean closer, her voice bewitchingly hard to refuse.

"Well, why don't you first tell me how to break this stalemate?" Arthas laid out his current predicament without hiding a single detail. Although Keristrasza was not one of his own, she wouldn't move against him. As long as there were mutual interests, they were allies. Or rather, as long as the Red Dragon Queen and the Green Dragon Queen did not rescind their orders, they were allies. And would the two Queens rescind their orders? That was obviously impossible. Their powers were bestowed by Eonar, so how could they possibly move against a mortal favored by Eonar! Perhaps before long, they would no longer use the word "mortal" to refer to Arthas.

Keristrasza's blue eyes gazed at Arthas, her red lips parting slightly. Her full, plump lips made him want to thrust his cock into her mouth to see if it would feel good to have it in there!

"Your Highness wishes to get rid of this old codger once and for all, correct?"

"That's right. He must die." Arthas made no attempt to hide it; there was nothing to hide. An open villain was always far better than a hypocrite. When an open villain says he'll kill your entire family, he will certainly strive to do so.

"That's easy. Send a man to report to the king, delivering the news of his rebellion. At the same time, publicize his treasonous acts. That way, no one will dare to shelter him. The Alliance is currently fighting the Horde. Whoever takes him in, hmph, would just be handing leverage to others. Who could refuse the temptation of carving up a kingdom?" After speaking, Keristrasza licked her lips again, as if to moisten them, unaware of how seductive the gesture was. The sight made Arthas hard! What a vixen!

Women were naturally skilled at political maneuvering. Their gentle appearance was their most deceptive quality. Besides, Keristrasza was no young girl; she was a Dragon who had lived for thousands of years and one of the Red Dragon Queen's daughters, so she was worldly and knowledgeable. Human civilization wasn't even as old as she was!

"Good idea. Come to Emeriss's place tonight. I'll give it to you then." Arthas's eyes lit up. It was an excellent idea. His opponent wanted to use public opinion? Why couldn't he do the same? Whose words carried more weight, a prince's or an old nobleman's? Obviously, the prince's words were heavier. Arthas was the heir apparent, the sole crown prince. Perhaps he once had some half-siblings, but Queen Lianne had gotten rid of them all. Under these circumstances, with Terenas unable to have more children, how could he possibly abandon him? Even if Sir Shangke held considerable sway in aristocratic circles, so what?

Putting thought into action, Arthas had the Mage accompanying his army send a letter back to Lordaeron. It stated that Sir Shangke had intended to rebel and had sent men to continue assassination attempts on Arthas. Such treasonous behavior was unacceptable, and thus, Shangke Manor had been seized. It requested that Lordaeron issue a warrant for Sir Shangke's arrest and strip him of his title.

After this flurry of moves, when Terenas woke up from his afternoon nap and received the news, he was a bit stunned. Was this his good son, who excelled in both character and studies? He had been changing more and more recently! Thinking of this, Terenas didn't deal with it immediately. Instead, he went to the rear palace to find Queen Lianne. The couple had been in a cold war for over a decade. Ever since his wife had killed his mistress and illegitimate son, there had been little affection left between them. Although Terenas was furious, there was nothing he could do. If such a matter were exposed, he would be the one in the wrong. By not exposing it, he could at least maintain the illusion of a happy family.

The main issue was that Lady Ashvane controlled most of Kul Tiras's trade and a fleet, which was the most powerful support for her sister, Lianne. Thus, Terenas had to be careful if he wanted to make a move against Queen Lianne. Besides, apart from eliminating his lovers and illegitimate children, she had done nothing else, dutifully playing the part of the queen. This left Terenas feeling somewhat helpless, and he basically stopped staying with her.

Who would have thought that the glamorous royal family of Lordaeron had so many secrets? It was completely unimaginable to outsiders, who only saw a harmonious family.
