"You're hurt?" Sang Luo stood at the door, smelling the faint scent of blood on him.
"No."
Lan Cang embraced her, resting his chin on her head and nuzzling it. "Pamir told me you were nearly attacked and injured by a Wandering Beast today—and that Manla was secretly behind it. I was terrified."
He was supposed to return the day after tomorrow, but after hearing the news, he rushed back to the tribe overnight, terrified something might have happened to her.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Manla was punished by being locked in the confinement room. She won't be trying anything foolish again anytime soon."
"Yeah. She'll never have the chance to hurt you again."
"You said you'd take me away from the Kordo Tribe in a month, and there are only a few days left. Have you decided where we're going?" Sang Luo didn't read too much into his comment, assuming that's what he was referring to.
