With Old Kai's guidance, Dende's progress shouldn't be too slow.
If I develop his potential further once his emotions are ready, he'll soar immediately.
Gohan suddenly felt a little anticipation.
Next, Gohan had to plan for his and Trunks' future.
The goal was clear: they were going to Yardrat.
To learn Instant Transmission, and many other marvelous techniques.
But this trip wouldn't just last a day or two.
Gohan remembered very clearly.
Son Goku spent more than half a year just learning Instant Transmission, plus the travel time, making it a full year in total.
With him and Trunks gone for so long, he was really worried about Earth's safety.
Fortunately, most obstacles had already been cleared in advance.
Cell had been killed, and Majin Buu had been transferred to the Kaioshin Realm.
He had dealt with these two major BOSSes beforehand.
As for Zamasu, who might or might not exist, it was impossible for him to jump out and cause trouble this early, so Gohan felt relatively at ease.
But to ensure nothing went wrong.
The cautious Gohan still asked Supreme Kai and North Kai to help him keep watch over Earth.
Gohan stated that if any idiot tried to cause trouble, he had Kibito on hand, and where in the vast galaxy could they not go? They would beat them until they doubted life itself.
Trunks was brimming with excitement, knowing Gohan was taking him to another planet for training.
Bulma, however, was reluctant to part with the Gohan and Trunks brothers, giving them endless instructions and talking to them for a long time.
"Gohan, since you'll be gone for so long, aren't you going to say goodbye to Videl? She asks about you here every day; that girl must have fallen for you," Bulma said.
Gohan thought for a moment and said, "Forget it, I'll talk to her when I get back."
"Aren't you afraid of hurting her feelings?" Bulma looked helpless.
"Haha, it's not that serious. I've only met her a few times, and she's just curious about me right now. Talking about love is too much of a stretch. It's fine."
"But Trunks, do you want to see Mai?" Gohan teased Trunks.
Trunks' face immediately flushed red: "No, I won't go. I'm not going until you marry Sister Videl first, Brother Gohan."
"Hahaha, you're shy now," Gohan laughed, pointing at him.
That night, perhaps because he was too excited, Trunks stayed awake counting dragon balls.
Even so, Trunks still woke up early, looking refreshed and energetic.
After the brothers quickly washed up, Bulma already had a robot prepare a delicious breakfast.
And just then, Kibito arrived at Capsule Corporation.
At Gohan's enthusiastic invitation, Kibito reluctantly joined them for breakfast, but his appetite rivaled that of a Saiyan.
Afterward, under Bulma's reluctant gaze, Kibito used Instant Transmission to leave Earth with Gohan and Trunks.
Staring at the suddenly empty house, Bulma sat motionless on the sofa for a full hour before listlessly going to test the time machine... North Galaxy.
Yardrat.
Three figures appeared out of thin air with a "whoosh."
It was Gohan and the two others.
"Thank you, Kibito," Gohan said.
Trunks followed suit, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Kibito."
Kibito maintained his usual expressionless face and replied, "You're welcome, Mr. Gohan. If you need anything, just contact the Old Ancestor, and I can come pick you up anytime."
"Mhm, alright," Gohan nodded.
"Goodbye then, Mr. Gohan, Mr. Trunks," Kibito said, waving to the two of them.
"Goodbye!"
"Goodbye!"
Trunks, being called "Mr." for the first time, felt a surge of goodwill toward Kibito and waved back.
With a whoosh, Kibito instantly vanished.
Gohan and Trunks carefully surveyed their surroundings.
Looking up, they saw boundless skyscrapers. These towering buildings were exquisitely designed, unique, and full of technological flair, easily matching or even surpassing any city on Earth.
In comparison, Planet Namek seemed like a planet inhabited by primitive humans, utterly desolate.
Besides the skyscrapers, there were dense crowds of Yardrat people standing around. All of them were staring at the two brothers, as if they had been watching for a while.
Just then, the leading Yardrat person moved.
He walked toward the Gohan brothers, and as he moved, the dense crowd of Yardrat people followed, surrounding them.
Immediately, the sound of "da da da" footsteps was incessant.
By estimation, there were no fewer than two hundred people.
Sensing the tense atmosphere, Trunks became vigilant and whispered, "Brother Gohan, what are they trying to do? Do they want to gang up on us?"
"It's fine, let's wait and see. They have no Killing Intent," Gohan replied, carefully observing the Yardrat people.
Gohan recognized the clothing they were wearing; it was the same style Son Goku wore back when he returned from here a decade ago—the design was virtually identical.
The surrounding Yardrat people belonged to two types.
One type had completely pink skin, wide, lifeless eyes, and dense black spots on their heads, looking utterly unappealing, much like the alien E.T.
The other type had a massive green garlic head, very simple facial features, and skin texture that looked exactly like a Slime.
If he had to choose which one looked better, Gohan thought the second type was more acceptable.
At least the head was round, and the simple features were quite cute.
The leading Yardrat person was a garlic head, and he had also been observing Gohan and Trunks.
The garlic head stopped a few meters away from Gohan and Trunks and spoke: "Hello, guests from outer space."
His voice was soft, just like his appearance.
"Hello, friends of Yardrat. We are brothers from Earth. As you can see, we have no ill intentions. We came here hoping to learn some techniques from you."
Gohan said with a smile, trying to appear as friendly as possible.
Hearing Gohan's words, the garlic head was surprised.
"Huh? You came from Earth? Then do you happen to know Son Goku?"
Oh, they ran into someone who knew him?
Gohan felt happy.
Then he smiled: "Hello, Son Goku is my father. My name is Gohan."
"Ah, I see! No wonder you look so similar. Welcome, welcome! How is Goku doing now?"
The garlic head looked very happy, but because his facial features were simple, his expression looked simple too.
Gohan sighed and said, "My father passed away more than ten years ago."
"Ah, Mr. Goku passed away?" The garlic head was greatly shocked.
"Yes, only a year after returning from Yardrat, Father suddenly died of a viral heart disease," Gohan answered truthfully.
"That is truly regrettable, Mr. Gohan. Please accept my condolences," the garlic head said.
...
Through their conversation, Gohan finally understood why these Yardrat people felt goodwill toward Son Goku.
It was because the Ginyu Force had once invaded Yardrat.
But they were suddenly recalled by Frieza midway through.
Son Goku dealt with the Ginyu Force, so all the Yardrat people were grateful to Goku.
