Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 — Th Spark That Ends the World

Aren sat silently in the chair opposite the Headmistress.

Everyone else in the Academy trembled when she walked the halls.Teachers straightened their backs.Nobles swallowed their pride.Even veterans felt pressure in their lungs.

Aren simply read his book.

When the door opened, King and the nobles in the office stood up instantly—her presence demanded it.

Aren closed his book.

The Headmistress smiled faintly.

"Relax, Aren. I need to speak with you."

She poured tea for both of them ☕.Her movements were gentle, refined—yet every motion carried the authority of someone who had decided the fate of nations.

Aren waited.

She took a slow sip.

"I have a mission for you," she said quietly.

Aren nodded once.

"Details."

She placed a glowing red crystal on the table.

The Phoenix Eye 👁️🔥.

"It shows the future," she said."And according to this eye… a catastrophic war will begin soon."

King inhaled sharply behind Aren.

Aren did not react.

The Headmistress continued:

"There are three continents in this world."

She raised one finger.

⚫ Black ContinentDemons, beast-people, abyss races.

A second finger.

⚪ White ContinentGiants, necromancers, devils, and the sleeping titans.

A third.

🌫️ Gray ContinentHumans, elves, dwarves—peaceful races.

"For thousands of years," she said,"these three have remained in balance."

Her eyes locked onto Aren's.

"But the Phoenix Eye has shown a flame.A spark."

"One death," she whispered,"that will burn all three continents."

Aren finally spoke.

"Whose death?"

The Headmistress answered softly:

"Mimi.Daughter of the Demon King."

The room froze.

King's jaw dropped.A noble guard swallowed hard.

The Headmistress continued:

"If Mimi dies, the Black Continent invades the White.White retaliates.Gray is crushed between them."

She placed the Phoenix Eye down.

"Millions will die."

Aren leaned back slightly.

"And my role?"

She smiled faintly.

"You will go to the Demon-Ore Academy."

"As what?" Aren asked.

"A student.A teacher.A worker.Whatever identity is safest."

Aren stared at her.

"Why me?"

Her eyes sharpened.

"Because you are good, Aren," she said quietly."Even if you pretend otherwise."

She slid a document across the table.

"And because we already prepared the perfect demon identity for you."

Aren didn't open it.

She added calmly:

"Only you, me, and the Ancient Pillar know this mission. If demons discover you are human…"

She paused.

"You die."

King stepped forward, voice tight.

"Headmistress… this mission is suicide."

She ignored him.

Aren asked one question.

"Reward?"

She smiled.

"You want your past memories back… don't you?"

Aren's eyes narrowed—just slightly.

King turned to him, confused.

"Past memories…?"

The Headmistress lifted her teacup.

"And don't ask how I know.I have my methods."

Aren shook his head.

"No need."

She raised an eyebrow.

"You don't want them?"

Aren looked out the window.

"My past won't change the mission."

The Headmistress smiled—warm, almost proud.

"Good answer."

She stood.

"Aren… protect Mimi.Keep her alive at any cost."

"If you succeed," she said softly,"the world survives."

Aren stood.

"Understood."

As he reached the door, her voice stopped him.

"And Aren…"

He paused.

"Be careful in the Demon Continent."

"Those people don't fear death," she said."They fear monsters."

Aren turned his head slightly.

"I'm used to that."

She smiled.

"That," she said quietly,"is exactly what I'm afraid of."

Aren left the office without another word.

Outside, the Academy continued its peaceful routine.

Unaware—

That the fate of all three continentsnow walked silently toward hell. 🔥🌍
