Chapter 51 - Plan

In the upper hive, an endless army of daemons, tearing through the Warp rift of the Chaos Eight-Pointed Star, crossed the barrier of the material universe and descended upon this world!

And the instigator of it all, governor Galarion Hadley, in the Ecclesiarchy's Dome Sanctuary, smashed the tall statue of the Emperor and, in the sacred hall, used the blood and corpses of nobles to paint the walls, creating a bizarre, blasphemous, and magnificent artwork!

Rosales stepped into the Ecclesiarchy's Dome Sanctuary, and as he gazed at the blasphemous flesh 'paintings' and the figure, a flicker of imperceptible disgust flashed in his eyes.

That figure was none other than Galarion Hadley!

However, his face was already partially distorted, with mysterious blasphemous runes appearing in many places on his body, his skin a strange pink, and his entire face, including his skull, was deformed, appearing somewhat like a bird's beak at first glance!

"As per our agreement... Galarion, it's time for you to fulfill your promise." The Grand Sage of the Dark Mechanicum's indifferent and cold mechanical voice echoed within the sanctuary's dome.

"Respected Grand Sage Rosales, I apologize... I am temporarily unable to fulfill the agreed-upon promise." Galarion remained expressionless, still facing the blasphemous artwork, not turning around.

"Are you going to break the agreement?"

Rosales' already low and cold voice immediately became even more sinister, the several mechanical prostheses on his back seemed to stir restlessly, and his electronic eye flashed with a bloody glow.

"No, you've misunderstood my meaning."

At this moment, Galarion slowly turned around, his aggressively distorted face inspiring fear, and his bird-beak-like lips opened and closed as he said calmly, "According to the agreement, Khorne's cult was to completely occupy the hive city, but now... a small accident has occurred."

"What accident?"

Rosales frowned slightly, in a rather unpleasant mood.

To him, the cult had already occupied the Lower Hive and upper hive, with only the Mid Hive still having sporadic resistance, which couldn't cause any significant trouble; its annihilation was only a matter of time!

"Just now, Khorne's Chosen... lost."

Galarion seemed completely unperturbed, a cunning glint flashing in his eyes, and he said calmly, "Soon, Khorne will withdraw His divine power, because of the 'agreement'."

"The Chosen actually lost?" Hearing this, even the Grand Sage of the Dark Mechanicum couldn't help but be surprised. Rosales' expression turned somewhat ugly as he said, "You're not going to tell me there's a 'Living Saint', are you?"

An existence bestowed with miracles by the Emperor, wielding a flaming sword, is colloquially known as an 'Emperor's Chosen', though many prefer to call them 'Living Saints', meaning those who perform miracles!

If it were a 'Living Saint', he would have to reconsider whether to continue staying on this world!

After all, the Imperium's 'Living Saints' only appear on extremely brutal or highly significant battlefields.

And the last time, according to the news he received...

A 'Living Saint' had appeared on Cadia, and later on 'Macragge', and these two places... one had the Warmaster of Chaos, Abaddon, and the other was rumored to have a 'Primarch'!

Neither of them was something he could get involved with!

Simply put, if one didn't want to be drawn into an 'apocalyptic' level war by two factions, it was best to have no contact with either, otherwise, the death would be extremely gruesome!

"Of course not, respected Grand Sage."

Galarion chuckled, nonchalantly saying, "Although this place is important, it's not as crucial as a Watch world. How could a 'Living Saint' appear here?"

Besides, what value does Roselle have to make the 'Corpse Emperor' focus His gaze on this wretched place?

Galarion didn't believe the Imperium would prioritize this world.

"Our plan has encountered a small problem, so please be patient for a moment longer." He said with a seemingly sincere but actually scheming smile.

Rosales stared at him darkly for a few seconds, then said coldly, "How long? Until when? I need a precise answer. This place... gives me a very bad feeling!"

In fact, he had vaguely sensed that Roselle was not as simple as Galarion had claimed; besides that ancient ruin, almost all factions were pouring into this place!

"If you can help me kill one person, I am willing to tell you the location of the ruins, the method of entry, and everything inside in advance, respected Grand Sage." Galarion seemed to be revealing his true intentions, showing a cunning smile.

"Who?"

Although Rosales always felt a great danger, he was truly reluctant to give up on that ancient ruin.

After all, according to the partial information Galarion had shown him, it was absolutely a great civilization that existed in the galaxy before the birth of humanity, and its technological level was highly valuable for research!

"I don't know his name."

Galarion shook his head and said slowly, "The only thing I know is that he defeated the 'Chosen', and it seems the 'Blood God' is very fond of him. As long as he can be killed, I am willing to fulfill the agreement."

"Is this... the 'Lord of Change's' demand?" Rosales understood the Four Chaos Gods well; otherwise, with Galarion's style of action, he would never target someone without reason.

"..."

Galarion remained silent, only smiling.

"Alright, I can satisfy your request." Rosales looked at him coldly, his tone sinister, "But... this is the last time. If you dare to delay again, I will absolutely not let you off lightly, Galarion Hadley!"

"Of course, respected Grand Sage."

Galarion smiled and bowed, saying, "By the great Lord of Change, I will surely fulfill the agreed-upon promise!"

Rosales stared at him coldly, then left the Ecclesiarchy's Dome Sanctuary without a word, turning directly away.

However, in his heart, he had another thought.

Swearing by the Lord of Change?

It's like a joke. Anyone who believes the promise of a Tzeentch follower will definitely be tricked into a fate worse than death!

Watching Rosales leave, the smile on Galarion's face gradually faded, becoming gloomy and cold: "Hmph... a mere Grand Sage, daring to covet that ruin? But it doesn't matter, soon, my plan will be realized!"

Galarion's goal was not merely a hive city.

He worshipped Tzeentch, the weaver of destinies, the Lord of Change, who symbolizes endless schemes and calculations among the Four Chaos Gods!

He single-handedly planned and instigated the cult's conspiracy.

Of course, this alone was not enough to satisfy the appetite of 'Tzeentch', so... Galarion had to make things a little more interesting.

He wanted to turn everyone on this world into pawns on his path to 'ascension'!

It could be said that he used the cult that worshipped 'Khorne' to bloodbath and ravage the 'Roselle hive city' world with a hundred billion inhabitants, solely to offer a sufficiently 'interesting' scheme to 'Tzeentch', whom he worshipped!

"Just a little more..."

Galarion's eyelids drooped slightly; he could clearly feel the joy and blessings from 'Tzeentch', who was very pleased with his scheme, but... it wasn't interesting enough yet!

How could a mere Khorne cult be enough?

He wanted to make Roselle even more ran, even triggering a second major Warp rift expansion, allowing the Nachmund Gauntlet region to completely fall under 'Chaos' control, and make the useless, decaying Corpse Emperor pay a heavy price!

He wanted to make... the Imperium of Man, completely lose the dark side!

Sever the Maelstrom, let the 'Cicatrix Maledictum' span the entire Imperium; only such a grand plan could please the great 'Lord of Change', granting him transformation and sublimation to become a mighty Daemon Prince!

This was Galarion Hadley's ambition!
