Chapter 102 - Change

To cross the chasm from mortal to a qualified, strong-willed Space Marine, ready to fight for the Emperor in the hellish Milky Way Galaxy, one must endure not only nineteen modification surgeries but also extensive training.

It's not as if implanting nineteen surgeries instantly elevates a mortal to god-like status, capable of wreaking havoc as a demigod.

According to normal procedures, new recruits who complete the modification surgeries are assigned to reconnaissance, undergoing daily training until all training is complete, only then are they assigned to a company, officially joining the battlefield and gradually accumulating experience.

But unfortunately... Emrys doesn't have that much time.

What he lacks most now is time. Even with a 'fifty times' time flow rate, it's still too slow, too slow!

Normally, organ implantation alone takes several years to improve the recipient's survival rate, but he doesn't have that much time. Whether it's the Gene-stealers close by, the Ork hordes besieging the hive city, or Harken the Star-Jackal eyeing them menacingly, all are pressing in, not halting their evil plans!

So, Emrys can only act regardless of the cost.

Although such actions will cause the failure rate of the modification surgeries to skyrocket exponentially, this aggressive approach will lead to the deaths of many who could have become Space Marines, but he must, and can only, do this!

After returning to the Warhammer Universe, Emrys paused for a few seconds before reactivating the 'Traveler System'.

This time, the target is the Alien universe!

No one would think that the Space Marine project is over after nineteen surgeries, right?

No, it's far from over!

As mentioned before, Space Marines require training, and training incurs costs. Whether it's daily sustenance, wear and tear on training equipment, or ammunition, these miscellaneous expenses are the real major cost!

After all, as the embryonic form of his first Chapter, Emrys can't just send them to melee combat with the enemy, clad only in Power Armor, can he?

Although Space Marines are very strong in melee, it doesn't mean he wants to risk these precious 'golden nuggets', so the 'alien world' is especially important.

In his initial vision, he had designated the 'alien world' as an 'Industrial world', just like the Forge Worlds in Warhammer that provide equipment and weapons for Space Marines and the Astra Militarum!

The 'alien world' is his Forge world, a true, complete, and exclusively his own resource world!

Weyland-Yutani's vast industrial system and hundreds of billions of people are entirely sufficient to support the consumption of one, or even several, Space Marine Chapters!

As soon as he returned, he received a lot of information.

Among them were the research results of Weyland and Viggs: the alien Queen had already been born, but there was still a significant gap from the envisioned goal of deploying alien Queens to rapidly create an alien army.

But in just a few years, to push research progress to this extent, Emrys was already very satisfied. The alien army is not an urgent matter for now; the most important thing is to establish factories!

Emrys, piloting the 'Lord of the world', once again arrived at world LV-223 and docked with the space station's orbit.

"Mr. Emrys, welcome back."

Upon receiving the news, Weyland immediately rushed to the spaceport with everyone to greet him.

"No need for such trouble. I'm here this time with a very important task for you," Emrys waved his hand and went to the private office with Weyland.

"Just give your orders, Mr. Emrys."

Ever since Weyland received the infinite serum, his back no longer ached, his legs were no longer sore, and he felt much younger, even having time for women.

The deeper he understood, the more an indescribable reverence for Emrys grew within him. The technological content on him simply exceeded the existing scientific framework!

Weyland still maintained his respect: "Weyland is at your service, Mr. Emrys. What do you need us to do this time?"

Emrys took out a large number of blueprints from his private space and handed them directly to Weyland: "I need you to build factories specifically according to the content on these blueprints, understand?"

This is the value of Emrys.

The influence of the Rogue Trader Dynasty, and its role, are often subtle and difficult to manifest directly, especially within the Imperium's territory, where it is restricted by various forces like the Inquisition, so it cannot act arbitrarily.

However, Emrys, backed by the Rogue Trader Dynasty, can easily access many things that mortals could never access.

For example, in the alien world he came to this time, he intends to use the mature, complete, and vast industrial system of the Weyland Corporation to manufacture basic Space Marine consumables such as bolters, Bolt rounds, and Ceramite nutrient paste.

Of course, a large training base must also be established, specifically to provide Space Marines with professional training grounds and facilities.

The simplest examples are... bolters, Bolt rounds, Chainswords.

Without the accumulation of the Emrys Rogue Trader Dynasty, Emrys wouldn't even be able to produce these most basic items.

Weyland glanced at the blueprints and immediately felt a knot in his stomach: "Mr. Emrys... are you sure the data on the blueprints is correct?"

He was already a genius, but after seeing the design for something called a bolter on the blueprints, he suddenly felt his brain wasn't quite up to the task. What kind of madman would attach a rocket propulsion device behind a .75 to 1-inch bullet?!

Is this thing... meant to shoot people?

Forget Humans, even if an alien Queen came, a single burst would probably blow her to smithereens!

Looking at Weyland, who was gasping in cold air, Emrys couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. Indeed, the technology of the Warhammer Universe easily gave them a huge shock.

"Keep looking."

Emrys lightly tapped his index finger, signaling him to continue.

Then, Weyland continued to flip through the blueprints, his expression becoming increasingly vivid, until he finally saw the Ceramite nutrient paste... he almost couldn't keep a straight face.

Even the Engineers, with their advanced biotechnology, weren't so savage as to eat Ceramite ore as nutrient paste. Is this stuff... really for Humans?

"Mr. Emrys... with all due respect, some of the items on your blueprints are quite challenging to conquer," Weyland wiped cold sweat. The designs on the blueprints were wilder than the last!

Take the Chainsword, for example. He racked his brain but couldn't figure out what occasion such an advanced yet primitive weapon would be used for. Could it be for cutting trees?

But if it were for cutting trees, that would be far too wasteful. Just from the data on the blueprints, the alloy used to make the Chainsword's teeth alone had a strength far exceeding that of a spaceship!

"I'm not here to ask for your opinion, Weyland."

Emrys' tone suddenly deepened, his eyelids slightly lifted, and a hint of cold light flickered: "I don't want to hear about difficulties, and I don't care how you do it, but I need you to accomplish it, understand?"

Weyland's expression was bitter, so he could only nod: "I understand, Mr. Emrys. I will perfect these production lines as quickly as possible."

Food must be eaten one bite at a time, and technological advancement involves many complex challenges, so it must naturally be improved little by little.

Given the current level of the Alien universe, even if Emrys brought blueprints for Valkyrie transport aircraft, Rhino APCs, Leman Russ tanks, or Baneblades, they wouldn't be able to replicate them.

After all, there's a touch of metaphysics involved in those things.

So for now, Weyland can only break through from the most basic aspects, such as bolters and Chainswords. Only with a large accumulation of theoretical knowledge can he hope for more advanced weaponry.

As for the weapons researched by the Weyland Corporation in the alien world, Emrys genuinely couldn't be bothered with them. They'd struggle against underhive gangs, let alone conquering the universe. If they were actually brought out, they'd probably be laughed to death.

"Very good, I await your good news."

Emrys patted Weyland's shoulder, handed him an infinite serum, and said indifferently: "This serum can make you ten years younger. Do a good job, and I'll give you a surprise later."

"Thank you, Mr. Emrys!"

Weyland treasured it as if it were a priceless gem, carefully injecting the serum. Immediately, his white hair turned black, and his wrinkles noticeably diminished: "I will complete your arrangements as quickly as possible!"

"Alright, I'm leaving now."

After giving his instructions, Emrys left again.

Next, he still had to go to Paradise world. The biological cores he had acquired last time were already used up. This time, Emrys wanted to see if there were any higher-level armor cores.

In the Spartan project, Jackal and the others' bio-armor were upgradeable, but required a long cultivation period, so Emrys entrusted Viggs to specifically cultivate special warrior-type bio-armor for him.

The Lord of the world set sail again, traveling several light-years, and after several days and nights, finally arrived at Paradise world.

With the Engineers and Humans united, the entire Paradise world was transformed. Various religious-style buildings rose from the ground, and even spaceships being cultivated could be seen.

It must be said that the Engineers' biotechnology, even in the Warhammer Universe, is considered top-notch, with a somewhat absurd feel to it.

Warships being 'grown' is quite outlandish.

Viggs had formed a new Elder Council and was now the Grand Elder of the Engineers. Upon seeing Emrys, his face immediately lit up with joy.

"Mr. Emrys, you're finally back!"

Viggs enthusiastically invited him into the temple, introducing the changes on Paradise world over the years as they walked.

Emrys chatted with him for a few moments before bringing up the main topic: "I'm here this time, partly to see you all, and partly because I need your help."

"No problem, Mr. Emrys!"

Viggs patted his chest, saying sincerely: "If it weren't for your help, Paradise world and my people wouldn't have recovered so quickly. We won't forget your kindness. Whatever it is, I will definitely help you!"

Although the initial encounter wasn't very pleasant, and he was even slammed against the spaceship wall by Emrys, if it hadn't been for Emrys later, how could Weyland have let them go?

Viggs knew the cruelty of the universe well.

Humans being able to coexist peacefully with the now-backward Engineers, Emrys' contribution was indispensable. Moreover, if it weren't for Human help, with the backward Paradise world and his strength alone, it would have been impossible for Paradise world to get back on track and re-explore space in just a few years!

"Thanks, Viggs," Emrys nodded slightly, then said: "I need more, more advanced warrior-type bio-core armor. You can use this data as a reference."

With that, he handed some of the Power Armor data to Viggs, hoping he could draw inspiration from it to create more suitable bio-armor.

"Hiss"

Viggs looked at the Power Armor in the data, his face showing some shock: "Mr. Emrys, can you tell me, are the warriors wearing these armors... really Human? What kind of enemy do you need to face to require these things?!"

From the most basic ceramite alloy of the Power Armor to the various complex systems, every part was almost born for slaughter, born for war!

From Viggs' perspective, warriors who could bear such armor almost completely surpassed the cognition of Humans and Engineers; they were practically... Gods!

He had no doubt that if such warriors truly existed, tearing xenos apart would be child's play!

So the question arose, for such powerful warriors... what kind of terrifying existence would their enemies be?

"I'm counting on you, Viggs."

Emrys didn't explain, fearing Viggs couldn't accept it.

Because even such powerful demigods, in the Warhammer Universe, still cannot change... the fate of the Imperium of Man!

"I'll do my best" Viggs held the data, showing a bitter expression just like Weyland: "But... I can't guarantee a 100% replication; at most, it can only be around 50%."

"That's enough."

Emrys completed the last task.

At this moment, the entire alien world, the Human corporate giant dominating the Milky Way Galaxy, united with its former creators, will become a cog in Warhammer, continuously providing him with resources!

After bidding farewell to Viggs, Emrys boarded the Lord of the world, went to an uninhabited asteroid, and then returned to the Warhammer Universe.

"Traveler System."

Emrys whispered in his heart: "Adjust the time flow of the alien world to fifty times."

"[Current time flow rate of the alien world has been adjusted to 50 times]"

"Next, it's time to wait."

Emrys, who had been busy half the night, could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The fifty-times time flow rate would propel the forces of the two universes to create his first Space Marine Chapter!
