Chapter 109 - Sky

Emrys covered his face and let out a long sigh. He seriously suspected that he might have been 'cursed' by the Cybertronian ghost, right?

After going through such a big circle, in the end, it was all for naught!

He stared at Mikaela with some resentment. If she hadn't touched the Tesseract fragment, the duck wouldn't have flown away from his mouth.

"That... did I do something wrong?" Being stared at by the other party with such a resentful gaze, Mikaela felt inexplicably scared, and recalling the Transformer that had just been vivisected, she immediately shivered: "S-sorry, I didn't mean to."

It's fine, it's fine. Emrys tried his best to comfort himself.

It's good that it transferred to Mikaela; at least the crucial information wasn't lost, right?

Moreover, even if the information had transferred to him, it might not have been better than with Mikaela; in fact, it might have been worse.

The 'Matrix of Leadership' in the movie needed to pass the trials of the six Primes.

Emrys thought about it carefully and felt that the trials wouldn't be too difficult for him. He was mainly afraid that the six Primes would peek into the memories in his mind.

At that point, it's uncertain who would go crazy.

And there was a high probability that the six Primes would refuse to hand over the 'Matrix of Leadership' to him, a human from the Warhammer Universe.

The most insane Cybertronian was Fallen, who destroyed a Sun for energy.

To be honest, Emrys felt that Fallen's petty issues, if thrown into the Warhammer Universe, Inquisitors wouldn't even bother with it; at most, they'd let the Astra Militarum handle it.

If all xenos were like Fallen, the Inquisition would be overjoyed.

Looking at Mikaela, whose face was filled with fear, Emrys tried his best to soften his expression and said in a gentle tone: "This isn't your fault, don't be afraid. Actually, I'm a good person; you can tell from my face, right?"

"Y-yes, yes, yes!"

Mikaela nodded frantically, as if mashing garlic.

But inadvertently, her gaze always drifted to the surfboard that had been torn into pieces nearby, somewhat betraying her true thoughts.

Fortunately, Emrys didn't pay much attention and turned to Bumblebee, saying: "The target has been found, but there's a small problem now."

"What problem?" Bumblebee wasn't scared anymore at this point; he leaned over, scratching his head, and asked curiously.

"The Tesseract's information was just transferred into her brain. Do you have a way to extract it?" Emrys pointed at Mikaela. If it could be extracted, he wouldn't have to carry an extra burden.

Beauty? Figure?

Sorry, in Emrys' eyes, everything Mikaela prided herself on was worthless.

If it came to figure, she was not as good as Elsa; in terms of utility, she was not as good as a Transformer. If it weren't for the 'Matrix of Leadership' information transferred into her brain, he wouldn't bother with this woman.

"Wait, what are you going to do to me?"

But Mikaela, who was beside him, immediately started imagining things after hearing his words.

Combining the classic human experiments in Hollywood movies, she immediately thought of some terrifying scenes, her pretty face turning pale: "Aren't we friends? Bumblebee, you can't let him do this to me! I don't want to be an experiment, and I definitely don't want you to cut open my brain!"

"...Can you be quiet?"

Emrys pinched his brow, disliking her more and more: "No one is going to cut open your brain. I said 'extract information'."

But, obviously, his explanation was not heard by Mikaela.

Especially earlier, his fanatical and perverse expression when dissecting the surfboard had already led Mikaela to believe he was an evil scientist from a movie.

"Bumblebee, say something!"

Mikaela hugged Bumblebee's leg, chattering non-stop.

Bang!

A scorching blast bolt flew past Mikaela.

The super-large caliber bullet directly pierced the concrete wall and embedded itself in the body of the 'dead' surfboard, blasting a crater.

Instantly, Mikaela shut up, looking at Emrys in terror.

"Ms. Mikaela, silence is a virtue."

Emrys' eyes were cold, and he said word by word: "When I'm speaking, please keep your mouth shut, otherwise I don't mind twisting off your head. I hear that a human brain can survive for a long time even after leaving the body, do you understand what I mean?"

Facts prove that if you speak nicely, people don't necessarily listen.

But if you shoot at the other party, then the bullet will speak for you, and the effect is very significant!

Mikaela recognized the situation. Bumblebee couldn't possibly protect her, so she covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes misty, looking pitiful and charming, coupled with her hot figure, she was indeed somewhat alluring.

But unfortunately, Emrys had no interest in her at all. He turned to the trembling Bumblebee: "Is there a way to extract the Tesseract's information from her brain without harming her?"

To be honest, if it weren't for the Autobots' bottom line, he wouldn't mind learning from the Decepticons.

Directly cutting open Mikaela's skull and taking out her brain would be easier.

"I think Ratchet should have a way to solve this problem." Bumblebee also seemed relieved. If killing an innocent human was required to revive Optimus Prime, he instinctively refused it.

"Very good, contact Ratchet." Emrys glanced at Mikaela, who was still standing there, and frowned: "What are you still doing? Waiting for the military and Decepticons to catch you? Get in the car."

Mikaela felt very wronged. With her outstanding looks and figure, when had she ever been treated like this?

The Emrys she met seemed to not treat her as a human at all!

But resentment was resentment. Mikaela sat in the passenger seat and secretly glanced at Emrys a few more times, her heart racing.

He was truly handsome, but he didn't act like a human!

On the bumpy road, Bumblebee soon carried the two away from the 'crime scene'.

Only then did helicopters and human armed forces fly towards the previous location. Noticing this, Bumblebee belatedly asked: "Commander, did you block the human signals?"

He had been a little strange earlier; after being entangled with the Decepticons for so long, both the human military and the Decepticons seemed to be blind.

Now that he thought about it, it must have been this 'Commander' who did it, right?

Yesterday in Los Angeles, he also used some kind of operation to block the Decepticons' and humans' tracking and reconnaissance, which allowed them to escape.

Emrys hummed, which was his answer to Bumblebee.

Although he had hunted down Starscream and the surfboard, he still needed 1500 units of Source Power to anchor the Transformers world.

But from whom should he get these 1500 units?

He glanced at Mikaela, who was sitting in the passenger seat, somewhat wondering why changing her fate hadn't brought a reward this time.

Was it because, in the original fate, Mikaela was destined to inherit Sam's protagonist position?

Following the agreed route, Bumblebee carried the two back into the forest.

However, somewhat surprisingly, it wasn't Ratchet who came to greet them, but Jazz, who had just been healed.

"Where's Ratchet?"

Emrys frowned, detecting a hint of something amiss in the tense atmosphere.

"Ratchet went to rescue Ironhide." Jazz's voice still seemed a bit weak, but his gaze never left Emrys: "Bumblebee, is he the one you said could revive Optimus Prime?"

"Who told him to go?"

Emrys' eyes were somewhat cold, and his tone suddenly changed.

"It was me."

Jazz proudly puffed out his chest, hands on his hips: "Autobots never abandon any comrade!"

Perhaps sensing the change in his tone, Bumblebee was a bit nervous: "Commander, there might be a misunderstanding here."

"Very good, our cooperation is over."

Emrys grabbed the bewildered Mikaela without another word and turned to leave.

Clearly, the Autobots thought they could handle things on their own again. Since that was the case, he didn't need to bother with them.

Wasn't it just a partner?

Without the Autobots, weren't there still the Decepticons?

Moreover, if it weren't for his admiration for Optimus Prime, Emrys wouldn't have bothered with the Autobots from the start.

"You're leaving?" Jazz was stunned.

His original intention was just to teach Emrys a small lesson, to tell him that not everyone could command the Autobots, completely unexpected that such a situation would arise.

"Commander!"

Bumblebee became even more anxious. No one knew better than him that if Emrys left, there would be no hope for Optimus Prime's revival!

"Are you sure you want to stop me?"

Emrys slightly raised his eyelids, psychic energy surging around him, lightning and flames intertwined, creating a terrifying sight!

Bumblebee, who had witnessed Emrys' methods, hastily explained: "No, I didn't mean that, Commander. You might have misunderstood Jazz's meaning; he just wanted to save a comrade!"

"It doesn't matter, I don't care."

Emrys was too lazy to waste words and pulled Mikaela to leave.

However, Jazz, who had reacted, directly reached out to Mikaela: "Wait, stop! This person cannot leave!"

Boom!!!

Violent psychic energy, like a raging tide, slammed into Jazz's body.

The seemingly massive body, like a cannonball, was dragged by the air current and flew backward, plowing a trench several meters long through the dense forest!

"This time, it's just a warning."

Emrys stared coldly at Jazz, enunciating each word: "Next time... if you dare to reach out again, I don't mind twisting off your head."

With that, he was about to pull Mikaela away, but after taking two steps, he was again blocked by Bumblebee.

Bumblebee was at a loss, looking at him with pitiful, pleading eyes, truly not knowing what to say, so he could only beg cutely: "Commander, please... don't leave us. Optimus Prime needs you!"

"Bumblebee, our agreement was that if you wanted to revive Optimus Prime, you had to follow my command." Emrys said indifferently: "But now, you have violated the agreement. What do you think should be done?"

"This" Bumblebee hesitated, glancing at Jazz.

He knew very well that Emrys had already held back. If he had used the weapons he used against Starscream, Jazz would probably be dead already. "I apologize to you on behalf of Jazz, Commander."

Bumblebee made a decisive choice.

From a personal perspective, he strongly agreed with Jazz's choice; Autobots would not abandon any comrade.

But... he also hadn't forgotten the mission he bore: to save Optimus Prime!

Without Optimus Prime, the Autobots would be completely annihilated by the Decepticons. They needed a leader!

It was a scout, so it could better understand many seemingly unreasonable orders that actually contained extremely profound truths.

Just as Emrys had Ironhide attract the Decepticons' attention, they were able to take advantage of the opening and snatch the fragments of the Allspark.

Moreover, killing Starscream and Grindor undoubtedly cut off Megatron's right and left arms!

Such a brilliant record was naturally inseparable from this Commander.

Jazz staggered up from the ground, clutching his energy core, which had almost been critically damaged by a single blow, and felt a hint of fear and dread towards Emrys.

Bumblebee then leaned over and recounted everything that had happened today, in full detail.

After listening, Jazz's face showed a hint of human-like shame, and his previous arrogance was gone: "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have questioned your orders. This was my decision. If you want to punish someone, then punish me!"

With that, Jazz actually sat down cross-legged, adopting a resolute posture: "Please, you must help us revive our leader!"

Bumblebee looked at Emrys pitifully, which finally made him calm down a bit.

In fact, he had done it on purpose earlier, his goal being to make the Autobots recognize reality, otherwise he wouldn't have time to deal with incompetent teammates.

"This is the first time, and I hope it's the last."

Emrys' tone was extremely stern, carrying a hint of warning: "If it happens again, then I'm sorry, I'll terminate our deal. I don't want to cooperate with idiots."

He never believed that the Autobots' theoretical strength, even with him joining, could surpass the Decepticons.

To be precise, over ninety percent of the Autobots' strength came from Optimus Prime; as long as there were no humans around, Optimus Prime's combat power could soar to the sky, after all, he was the legitimate leader.

But without Optimus Prime, the Autobots were basically a mess, equivalent to losing their external brain and combat power.

He, Emrys, was a Rogue Trader, not a damn Astartes, much less a Grey Knight; he didn't have the ability to single-handedly take on a group of Decepticons.

If there was a next time, then he would have to consider whether to change partners.

"Yes, Commander."

Jazz and Bumblebee immediately nodded, indicating that they understood.

"What exactly happened? I need to know the reason."

Emrys frowned, looking at Jazz: "Don't waste words, just state the important things."

"Yes, Commander." Jazz, having been beaten, was indeed much more honest, recounting what had happened: "Ironhide was attracting the Decepticons' attention according to your orders, but not long after you left, I discovered Soundwave had dispatched three Bonecrushers."

"Interrupting for a moment, what is a Bonecrusher?"

Emrys was a bit curious; he really couldn't figure out the Transformers' codenames.

Were there Transformers with this name in the movies? Or did they appear in later installments?

"Bonecrushers are large, combat-type mechanical lifeforms mass-produced by the Decepticons," Jazz explained: "Usually, manufacturing such mass-produced warriors also requires a lot of energy. I suspect they have obtained an Allspark fragment."

As soon as he heard 'mass-produced', he knew there wouldn't be any source power.

They were probably some kind of cannon fodder, but even if they were cannon fodder, they were still Decepticon cannon fodder; if they truly swarmed him, he would still have to run.

"No need to suspect, the Decepticons indeed have a large fragment."

Emrys confirmed Jazz's guess and continued: "And then? You sent Ratchet to rescue Ironhide?"

"Yes."

Jazz lowered his head in shame.

"Stupid."

Emrys didn't know what to say.

The Decepticons' theoretical strength already crushed yours; even if you were going to rescue someone, don't send a 'Doctor'!

Wasn't this just pure folly, a one-way trip?

"Are you trying to save someone or harm someone? You sent Ratchet to save Ironhide, why didn't you go?" He couldn't help but complain; Jazz was simply an incompetent teammate, handing over achievements to the enemy one by one. He should have known not to save him back then!

"I... I haven't fully recovered." Jazz was even more ashamed, burying his head deeply: "I wanted to go, but Ratchet stopped me, saying it was more suitable for him to go, so"

"Forget it, I'm not interested in hearing your regrets."

Emrys took a deep breath, no longer wanting to deal with Jazz.

"Commander, are we... going to save it?" Bumblebee next to him asked cautiously.

"It disobeyed orders. Why should we pay a greater price for its mistake?"

Emrys' face showed a cold smile: "Don't forget, the overall strength of the Decepticons is currently more than a notch higher than ours."

The plan was suddenly disrupted, forcing Emrys to consider implementing a second plan: "Bumblebee, help me check the National Air and Space Museum. It specifically houses antique aircraft from world War I to world War II."

In the original plan, he intended to take Mikaela to find Ratchet and then extract the Allspark information from her brain.

But now, that plan was unfeasible.

So he decided to be more direct, skipping the step of extracting 'Allspark' information and going directly to find 'Jetfire'!

Jetfire was a former Decepticon member and one of the Fallen's earliest followers, sent by the Fallen to Earth to gather intelligence.

But later, after witnessing the Fallen's cruelty and ruthlessness, he resolutely chose to betray the Decepticons and join the Autobots, ultimately sacrificing himself to give Optimus Prime an epic upgrade, Jetfire Optimus Prime!

According to the information revealed in the movie, the only information he currently knew was that 'Jetfire' transformed into a SR-71 Blackbird supersonic reconnaissance aircraft, sleeping in the U.S. National Air and Space Museum, and required an Allspark fragment to awaken him.

But what Emrys cared about more was not that Jetfire could become an armament.

Instead, this ancient Transformer possessed technology similar to the 'Space Bridge', with built-in spatial teleportation technology!

It could, in the blink of an eye, teleport the protagonist group, Bumblebee, and two Transformers from the U.S. to Egypt on the other side of Earth. This alone was enough to double 'Jetfire's' value in Emrys' eyes!

If 'Jetfire's' spatial teleportation technology could bypass the Warp, then its strategic significance and value would be unquestionable!

Even if it couldn't, mastering this technology would give him a means of self-preservation when traveling to other Worlds in the future.

But limited by the movie, 'Jetfire's' displayed strength was far less than one-tenth of its peak period.

And as long as a Transformer had enough energy, even an aged 'Jetfire' could return to its peak state, which was undoubtedly the best choice for the Autobots who were currently in desperate need of combat power.

"Found it, Commander!"

Bumblebee accessed the human network and quickly found the 'target': "Southeast of Washington D.C., there's a National Air and Space Museum established in 1976. Many retired world War II aircraft have been found there."

"Very good, we're going to Washington."

Emrys pulled Mikaela and formulated the next step of the plan.

Have Mikaela take the Allspark fragment to activate 'Jetfire', who had been sleeping in the museum for seventy years.

"Then... what about me?"

Jazz's voice was a bit small due to his foolish actions.

"You?" Emrys frowned and said to him: "Your mission is to protect Optimus Prime's body. Don't let Optimus Prime's body be stolen again before we find a way to revive him."

He was genuinely worried that after all that effort, everything would be ruined by incompetent teammates.

"I guarantee it, Commander!"

With the previous lesson, Jazz no longer dared to contradict him: "I will never let any Decepticon steal Optimus Prime's body from me!"

"You better not."

Emrys somewhat roughly shoved Mikaela directly into the car.

"Wait, where are we going?" Mikaela asked timidly, a little scared.

"Washington."

Mars, the wreckage of a fallen Transformer warship.

Megatron passed through the wreckage of the warship and went straight to the deepest part, the core of the circular warship wreckage, which was covered with thick cables.

At the end of the cables was a throne made of piled steel wreckage. The Transformer sitting on it was much larger than Megatron, and its metallic body, from its chest to its limbs, seemed to flow with 'blood' like magma.

It was one of the original Seven Primes, and later, the Fallen.

"My master, I have failed your expectations."

Megatron knelt on one knee, showing his respect, and said in a deep voice: "The Tesseract has been destroyed, and the fate of our race is destined to perish."

"No, you are wrong."

The Fallen's voice was extremely ancient: "The Tesseract is just a carrier; the energy and information contained within it will not disappear. Go find it. Find the information inside; it is on that human woman. I see them!"

Its body had been worn down by endless ages, long losing its former majesty, but even so, it was still the most powerful Transformer!

Just a few words had already made it very tired.

But the Fallen still forced itself to remain alert, looking at Megatron: "Beware of that person, he will be our greatest obstacle!"

"My master, are you referring to the alien lifeform in Starscream's report?" Megatron's tone seemed somewhat dismissive. After all, he had killed the most powerful Optimus Prime; what could a mere alien lifeform do?

"Don't underestimate him."

The Fallen shook its head and said in a deep voice: "The things on him are very strange, as if they don't belong to this world at all!"

Hearing this, Megatron's eyes suddenly flickered a few times.

But then, he lowered his head, maintaining a respectful attitude: "Yes, my master, I will be careful of him."

"Very good, retrieve that thing for me." the Fallen's voice was still full of fatigue. It lowered its eyelids, looking at Megatron kneeling before it, and reached out to touch its head: "Then, I will fulfill my promise and make you a Prime!"
