Through a simple conversation, Emrys had basically figured out Moss' true nature.
This conversation should have happened in the "future."
But 550C, in the present, could accurately describe a scene from the future, which undoubtedly corroborated his guess.
As he had thought, the existence of Moss was like a ghost from a quantum world; from the moment of its birth, it could receive information from the future.
Everything it did, including attacking Tu Hanyu, misreporting the solar storm, allowing Yaya's consciousness to enter 550W, learning human emotions, creating the Moon crisis, and so on, was to allow its past self to gradually improve and evolve, until it became the true Moss!
But their seemingly encrypted conversation left everyone else bewildered, looking at each other in confusion.
What was going on?
From the peculiar behavior of the door-frame robot and its manner of speech, humans could easily guess that 550C was in control.
The problem was, 550C's performance made them feel a deep sense of unease.
From its tone, they could clearly feel that the current 550C was not like a quantum computer, but more like a true… human!
"You still haven't answered my question."
The mechanical eye above the door-frame robot flickered with a dull red light.
"What exactly do you want?"
"I almost forgot the main point."
The mask on Emrys' face came off, revealing a handsome and dashing face with a slight smile on his lips. Under everyone's gaze, he bowed slightly like a noble, nodding in greeting.
"Now, I—Merlin Emrys, in the name of the Rogue Trader and the God-Emperor, address the United Human Government."
He cast his gaze upon everyone, chuckling.
"From now on, within twenty-four hours, I wish to negotiate with the United Human Government, and of course—that includes you, Moss."
Ultimately, the resources of The Wandering Earth were not worth him wasting too much time. It was better to just flip the table and lay his cards bare with the Human Government and Moss.
This was his strategy.
When his strength was enough to completely overwhelm, there was no need to hide anymore. This was the true confidence of a Rogue Trader!
"May I assume that the negotiation you speak of is a form of threat or warning to all humanity?"
The dull red light in Moss' eyes flickered more rapidly, and its originally emotionless voice seemed to be tinged with a hint of anger.
Looking at the shocked and angry expressions of the crowd, Emrys' gaze was calm as he stated.
"Yes, you can interpret that as a threat."
In political maneuvering, one point is most important: never reveal your weakness!
Soft-hearted? Merciful?
That is built upon the charity of the strong, but if Emrys showed even a hint of it, then in the upcoming talks, he would only be at their mercy!
The atmosphere in the room suddenly dropped, and a chilling cold seemed to spread.
If they refused, they would be destroyed?!
Despite 550C's acknowledgment, many people still didn't believe that a single missile could destroy the vast Earth.
"I will relay your demands to the United Human Government, Mr. Emrys."
However, Moss was more clear-headed and calm than humans. It could analyze the technological content of that missile, which was absolutely a level currently beyond human reach!
Destroying a world with one strike was no exaggeration!
In fact, before the atomic bomb truly exploded, a certain island nation thought, "How much power can a mere bomb have?"
But soon, many people know the story that followed. When the temperature reached several thousand degrees, after the island nation was hit by two atomic bombs, he no longer dared to shout about a hundred million shattered jewels.
"My time is precious; I hope the Human Government doesn't waste it," Emrys said, looking at the skeptical human military, and stated calmly.
"I know many of you are still doubting whether I have the ability to do it, so I'll just use this to prove it."
'Hmm this place seems like a nice target.'
The "proof" he spoke of was a spear carved with ornate runes and forged from an unknown metal.
This was the spear the Eldar gifted him.
Emrys gripped the spear tightly, and a rolling thunderstorm seemed to surround him. The chilling aura froze the ground beneath his feet, and waves of surging psychic energy impacted the surrounding air like a tide, forming visible air currents!
He silently chanted the name of the Void Dragon, an ancient deity of the material universe, who could still control the order of heaven and Earth even in other Worlds!
Dense lightning bolts fell, striking the spearhead!
Illuminated by the rushing lightning, Emrys looked like a deity controlling lightning and thunderstorms. He suddenly took half a step forward, his arms stretching out freely, and the muscles in his right arm, which gripped the spear, bulged, showcasing the ultimate beauty of power!
The next moment, the spear flew from his hand!
Whoosh—!!!
In an instant, that spear, like a blazing Sun, radiating dazzling and scorching light, streaked across the sky above Gabon like a meteor, easily breaking the sound barrier amidst roars of thunder!
Finally, the spear, imbued with divine power, fell on the highest mountain range in eastern Gabon, Mount Bengoué. With an Earth-shattering roar, the entire mountain range's snow churned and roared, and the rocks, like a volcanic eruption, were pushed high into the clouds by the air current!
The one-thousand-meter-high Mount Bengoué range had its summit directly sheared off by that single strike!
Terrifying dust rushed into the sky amidst the air currents!
Not only were the humans stunned, but even Moss was bewildered. How did he do it? This wasn't scientific!
Seeing everyone's expressions, Emrys knew his goal of deterrence had been achieved. So he exhaled, trying to appear as less fatigued as possible.
"As you can see, according to our classification of such ability users, I am merely an Eta-level psyker, which is roughly mid-tier."
Psyker—mid-tier?
Looking at the flattened mountain range, Moss and everyone else fell silent.
They didn't know what a psyker was, nor did they understand how many classification tiers there were, but—judging solely from Emrys' performance, they could hardly believe how terrifying the highest-level 'psyker' would be!
"Are you saying that the top-tier psykers could easily destroy Earth?"
Moss asked.
"The top-tier psykers, we call them 'Alpha-plus' level," Emrys said with a smile, looking at them.
"An Alpha-plus-level psyker can crush your Sun in a single thought. Please do not doubt the destructive power of Alpha-level psykers, because I truly have two top-tier psykers!"
Silence, a deathly silence.
That last sentence was already a threat, telling them to calm down because the other party truly possessed weapons of mass destruction!
"So—" Emrys quietly looked at everyone, smiling.
"Now, can we have a good talk?"
"Talk!"
Moss said with extreme conviction.
His tone was like that of a fanatic, his conviction no less than that of a devout believer!
Talk, of course, they had to talk!
Nothing was non-negotiable. What a joke, they were a technology-based civilization, and then a 'spiritual' faction appeared. How could they fight that?
They couldn't fight, they surrendered, they gave up!
______________
What did Gabon do to you bruh?
