Chapter 334 - Execution

The Commander swore, He really wanted to rush back right now.

Then, with his size forty-three foot, He would kick Will, who was sitting in the chair, down fiercely.

It would be best to use the hardest tip of His military boot to forcefully kick his backside, so that this damned bastard would know the importance of intelligence to war!

But unfortunately, no matter how angry He was, He had to solve the problem at hand first.

The Commander had already concluded in his mind that the group of people entrenched on the Ishimura were the Earth United Government.

"Tell the other warships to execute Plan Alpha!" He possessed extremely excellent command skills, and since the enemy was the Earth United Army, He could no longer let their fleet line up in a single file, otherwise, they would be sitting ducks!

Upon receiving the order, the ten CEC warships quickly and skillfully changed their formation according to the pre-arranged plan.

However, just as they were busily changing formations, the observer on the bridge deck found that the opponent had made a move that was utterly baffling and completely incomprehensible to them.

A small spacecraft flew out from the bottom bay of the Ishimura, and then, at an astonishing speed, it streaked towards their warship cluster.

Based on the movement speed on the radar, it could be determined that this small spacecraft was very fast.

But... even the fastest small spacecraft was ultimately a 'spacecraft', with an insurmountable chasm separating it from a warship.

Seeing the opponent's seemingly insane behavior, the Commander, who had originally been very cautious, couldn't help but scoff, "Is this all the Earth United Army is capable of? They can't possibly really think that such a small spacecraft can defeat us, can they?"

As soon as these words were spoken, laughter erupted in the CEC Joint Fleet's communication channel.

"Perhaps they really are a group of rebels, then?"

"Yeah, maybe earlier was just luck, or maybe CEC equipped the Ishimura with some new shield technology?"

"Pfft, what era is this? Still using such outdated tactics."

The rising and falling jeers in the communication channel also allowed the Commander, who had originally been tense, to relax a little.

His stiff face showed a hint of a smile.

"Alright, it seems I was overthinking. This is just a group of ordinary rebels, not much capability. They're probably desperate, which is why they're trying to fight us with this thing."

Now, it was the interstellar era, and beyond-visual-range combat was the mainstream!

For a few people to pilot a spacecraft, like ancient knights, and charge at the enemy was undoubtedly suicidal!

"fire control radar has locked onto the target. Permission to fire?"

"Permission granted."

Two simple orders were given.

The two wings of the crescent-shaped CEC fleet immediately began a barrage of overwhelming fire.

Beams of light pierced through the dark starry sky, dragging a destructive aura like meteors, enveloping the lone spacecraft, like a tragic knight, with thunderous force, finally converging and exploding into the most dazzling blaze.

"This is too easy." A crew member in charge of artillery said with a grin, puffing on a cigarette.

In this interstellar era, they didn't even need to think; they just handed it over to the AI system and fire control radar. After locking on, a light press of a button could turn a warship hundreds of kilometers away into a complete wreck.

But just as the CEC fleet's communication channel was filled with joyous laughter, an observer's gasp pulled them back to reality.

"Oh no, it's still there!"

The usual nightmare was playing out again.

Their attacks had no effect, not even adding a scratch to the spacecraft.

And after being attacked, it once again rushed towards the center of their warships at an even faster speed, heading straight for the Commander's position!

In an instant, the Commander was a little flustered, cold sweat beading on his forehead.

What on Earth was going on?

Why were their attacks repeatedly completely nullified by the opponent?

But time waited for no one, and the observer once again cried out, "Oh no, their speed is too fast, the wings cannot intercept it."

The moment the Commander looked up, He could already clearly see the spacecraft with his naked eyes.

Its outer armor was extremely old and worn, as if it had endured countless battles, leaving behind bullet holes, dents, and other marks. On the cockpit armor at the front, a faded, yellowed double-headed Aquila emblem was branded.

"They... what are they trying to do?"

The Commander's pupils suddenly contracted. Looking at the spacecraft, which was already within a foot but still not decelerating, his heart almost stopped beating.

"Uh, officer" The observer swallowed, saying with a look of despair, "They seem to be trying to crash directly into us!"

"F*ck!"

The Commander finally couldn't hold back and cursed loudly, "Are they crazy? Do they want to die with us?!"

However, no matter what they were thinking, the pilot of the Thunderhawk Gunship looked as if it was business as usual.

He pushed the control stick forward, slightly reducing the engine's thrust.

Otherwise, given the armor strength of the enemy warship, He was genuinely afraid that the Thunderhawk Gunship would crash straight through it, cutting the opponent in half.

Rumble—!!!

The Thunderhawk Gunship, in an extremely brutal and barbaric manner, slammed headfirst into the CEC command ship.

The outer armor of warships in this era was like paper in front of the Imperial Thunderhawk Gunship, utterly useless.

After a violent jolt, the pilot calmly lit a cigarette and then opened the rear transport hatch.

His mission was complete; all He had to do now was to comfortably finish this cigarette in the cockpit and then take these people back.

The dark hatch opened, and the warning lights in the side corridors flashed with dangerous red light.

Then, accompanied by the vibration of the gangway, Space Marines, each about two meters tall, stepped out one by one from inside.

The total number of this small team was only about ten.

To deal with such 'heretics', using ten people was already giving them too much credit; it should be known that dealing with such people was usually the responsibility of the Astra Militarum.

Soon, the well-trained Dark Angels divided into three teams, attacking from different directions.

The first team encountered a CEC special operations team head-on. They were hiding in the shadows, trying to ambush with plasma cutting guns.

But just as they pulled the trigger, in a gap of less than one millisecond!

The Dark Angel walking at the very front heard a sound from the shadows. With astonishing reaction speed, He turned sideways and used His thickest shoulder plate to withstand this fatal plasma cutting gun blast, the parallel beam exploding with light on his shoulder plate.

Before the special operations team in the shadows could react in shock, that Dark Angel decisively drew His Bolter and accurately locked onto the enemies in the shadows.

Boom!

What awaited them was being blasted into minced meat by the Bolter.

The other team was luckier; they encountered a large CEC combat suit, which looked full of science fiction from the outside.

But the combat personnel piloting the large mech didn't even have time to get excited before their legs were directly severed by the roaring, ear-splitting Chainsword, and then they were violently thrown away by brute force, embedding themselves into the wall of the cockpit.

"My God... Even though the Commander was well-traveled, He had never seen such enemies.

They were swift, deadly, as if born for war, each one like a demigod!

His carefully laid traps, a defensive line composed of hundreds of people, were utterly destroyed by the opponent in just three minutes, with overwhelming force!

No, these people... are definitely not the Earth United Army!

The Commander slumped into his chair in despair, his vision gray.

In the face of the Space Marines' most direct and powerful violence, their carefully crafted strategies seemed like a joke!

And this was just another ordinary day for the Dark Angels.
