As Isaac and Felix divided tasks, Hazel leaned close to Lucille and whispered conspiratorially, "See, Sister Lucy? Once they start working, they'll be too busy to show off."
Regina chuckled, agreeing with the young healer. Then, she tugged Lucille's hand.
"Come on, let's leave the heavy lifting to them. We deserve to sit back and enjoy the feast for once. You're the star tonight."
"But—" Lucille began, glancing toward Ashrik as if asking if it was all right.
He caught her gaze, giving a faint nod. "Go ahead. We'll manage. Hazel, Regina, just stay with Lucy."

Hazel gave Ashrik a mock salute. Without waiting for further protest, she guided Lucille toward the wooden table, followed by Regina.
