Instead of the eerie view of the torture basement, what Lucille saw after her vision steadied was a deep and boundless dark sky, twinkling stars scattering across it. The moon hung low and pale overhead.
Then, the familiar echo of waves reached her.
'This is... cliff by the sea.'
Lucille blinked, thinking of the various places she had been within this dream until now.
Below the cliff, waves rolled endlessly against jagged rocks. The dark water reflected shards of moonlight. Around her was an ocean of wildflowers, swaying gently in the sea breeze.
'Maybe this place... They should be here somewhere.'
Lucille swept her gaze around, expecting to see the pair nearby. Her eyes landed on a spot ahead. Her heart thumped rapidly. Before she realized it, she had already ran toward them.
The man and the woman stood near the cliff's edge, their robes were torn and stained. Marks of torture were still visible on their wrists and necks.
