As Goku and Vegeta clashed fiercely, Gohan quietly scanned their surroundings.
In the original history, Dr. Gero had once mentioned sending miniature robots to collect battle data from Goku and Vegeta.
After a brief search, Gohan spotted a tiny white mechanical insect—smaller than a thumbnail—hovering in the distance.

Piccolo nodded and turned his attention back to the battle.
He had once believed that even after training on King Kai's planet, Goku wouldn't be much stronger than him.

The gap between them was terrifying.
Piccolo clenched his fists.
After this battle, he swore to train harder than ever.
Vegeta suddenly clenched both fists.
A terrifying aura erupted from his body.

The ground trembled violently as rocks and sand were blasted skyward. Dark clouds gathered overhead, swallowing the sky.

A violent shockwave exploded outward.
Goku raised his arm to block the wind and slid backward.
Vegeta roared.
A blinding light engulfed him.
Moments later, the tremors ceased, and the clouds dispersed.

Vegeta's kick slammed into Goku's chest, launching him into a distant mountain.
Vegeta sneered.
"Is that all you've got, Kakarot?"
Goku burst from the rubble, panting heavily as he landed on a nearby peak.
His eyes hardened.
"I don't have a choice… Even if my body breaks…
I have to use Kaio-ken x3!"
Vegeta laughed.
"What's wrong? Run out of tricks?"
Goku slowly closed his eyes.
Hold on… just a little longer.
His eyes snapped open.
A raging crimson aura exploded outward.
"Kaio-ken… x3!"
Goku vanished.
BANG!!
Vegeta was struck before he could react, sent flying like a cannonball.
Goku appeared above him in a flash and slammed his fist downward.
CRASH!!
Vegeta smashed into the mountain below, collapsing it entirely.
A massive cloud of dust swallowed the battlefield.
"Hoo… hoo…"
Goku hovered, breathing heavily as the Kaio-ken aura faded.
The strain tore through his body like fire.
He glanced briefly toward Gohan.
If Gohan had fought…
This battle would've ended long ago.
But Goku wanted this fight.
He needed it.
Suddenly—
BOOM!
Rubble exploded outward.
Vegeta emerged, roaring as he shook off the debris.
Blood stained his hands.
"I… I was injured…"
Vegeta stared at them in disbelief.
Then his eyes burned with fury as he looked up at Goku.
With a powerful leap, Vegeta shot into the sky.
Purple lightning crackled between his hands.
Goku's expression changed.
"He's aiming for the Earth…"
Vegeta sneered.
"That's right. Dodge if you want. But the planet behind you won't survive."
Goku clenched his fists.
"I won't dodge."
Crimson energy surged around him again as he drew his hands back.
"Kamehameha… Kaio-ken x3!"
Vegeta thrust his hands forward.
"Galick Gun!"
A massive purple beam erupted from Vegeta—
And Goku fired back.
