"This was made with someone's help!"
"Made? Who helped you make it?"
"His name is Pilaf!"
"Pilaf? That name sounds somewhat familiar! But for him to be able to make a phone like this, he must have some skill!"
"Mm."
Gohan nodded.
"Then where is he now?"
"He's in a house in the suburbs of West City!"
"The suburbs of West City?"
Gohan nodded again.
"So, Gohan, you're not just giving me this phone to look at, are you?"
Gohan smiled.
"Of course not. I want Aunt Bulma to help with the mass production of this phone!"
"You mean you want me to help produce this phone?"
Gohan nodded.
Bulma thought for a moment before speaking.
"I can, but why do you want to produce this phone?"
"That goes without saying—it's for money!"
"Money?"
"Exactly. If I had money, my mom wouldn't worry so much, and maybe she wouldn't force me to become a scholar!"
"I see! I can find someone to help manufacture the phone, but you'll need to bring Pilaf here so I can understand the phone's parts and materials!"
"Okay!"
"And since I'm helping you find someone to manufacture it, if it makes money, I'll take half!"
"...Okay!" Gohan let out a dry laugh. "Then, Aunt Bulma, I'll go bring Pilaf over now!"
"Okay!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Gohan instantly teleported away, appearing at a house in the suburbs of West City.
"Gohan!"
Gohan nodded.
"Pilaf, Shu, Sister Mai—I've already discussed it with Aunt Bulma. She agreed to help manufacture the phones. If they sell, the three of you can split twenty-five percent!"
"Twenty-five percent?! Why only twenty-five percent when the three of us made this phone ourselves?!"
Pilaf shouted angrily.
"Then do you have the money to set up a factory?"
Gohan asked calmly.
Pilaf immediately fell silent.
"Also, Aunt Bulma's family company is huge. If she promotes it, our phones will definitely sell well. Even twenty-five percent would be worth trillions!"
"Tr-Trillions?!"
The three of them instantly began fantasizing about their lives after becoming rich.
They even started drooling.
"Cough, cough!"
After snapping out of it, Pilaf coughed deliberately and looked at Gohan with a serious expression.
"Gohan, I wasn't thinking clearly just now. That was my fault. I apologize!"
Gohan smiled.
"It's nothing."
"Then, Gohan, when can the factory start production?"
Pilaf was already impatient, eager to see the phones he designed being mass-produced—and to become a world-famous entrepreneur surrounded by beautiful women every day.
"I came to see you about that."
"See me?"
"Yes. Aunt Bulma wants to understand the materials and parts used in the phone, so she wants to meet you."
"Meet me?!" Pilaf's expression immediately turned tense.
He had once captured Goku and Bulma. If she recognized him, his twenty-five percent would be gone.
Thinking of this, Pilaf immediately refused, claiming he was unwell. Instead, he told Gohan all the design plans, materials, and parts needed for the smartphone.
With no other choice, Gohan took the design drawings and material blueprints Pilaf had prepared and returned to Bulma's house.
"Gohan, where's Pilaf?"
"Aunt Bulma, he's feeling a bit unwell, so he couldn't come. But he gave me all the phone's design blueprints!"
Gohan handed her a thick stack of papers.
"Is that so?" Bulma took them and immediately started reviewing them.
"Then, Aunt Bulma, how long until the phones can be mass-produced?"
"Some of the parts listed here aren't available in West City. They'll need to be shipped from elsewhere, so about a week."
"I see."
"Mm." Bulma nodded.
"By the way, Aunt Bulma—Vegeta is training in the gravity chamber right now, right?"
"Yes. That guy trains all the time unless he's eating or sleeping. He's exactly like your dad."
"Really?" Gohan pulled a USB drive from his pocket and handed it to her.
"Aunt Bulma, this is for you!"
"What is it?"
Gohan smiled.
"It's a video of Vegeta on Planet Namek."
"A video of Vegeta?"
"Just open it on your computer and you'll see."
Gohan chuckled.
"Computer…"
Gohan nodded—and vanished instantly.
Bulma sighed and went inside, plugging the USB drive into her computer.
She opened the file.
It really was Vegeta on Planet Namek.
In the video, Vegeta was imitating Gohan while reciting Team Rocket's lines.
After watching it, Bulma burst into laughter, replaying it several times.
Who would've thought the usually aloof Saiyan prince would say lines like that with Gohan?
Outside the suburbs of West City.
Shu and Mai were confused by Pilaf's refusal to meet Bulma earlier.
"King Pilaf, why didn't you go see Bulma?"
"Are you two idiots? We once captured that woman! If she knew we made the phone, she might not even give us that twenty-five percent!"
"Not give it?!" Shu and Mai's fantasies instantly shattered.
"Then what should we do? Just give up the twenty-five percent?"
"How could that be? I just wasn't prepared for Gohan's sudden visit. Next time, we'll wear makeup so she won't recognize us!"
"As expected of King Pilaf!"
"Of course. Otherwise, how could I be your boss?"
"Um… King Pilaf, can you even do makeup?"
Pilaf turned to look at Mai.
She was a woman—she should know how.
Noon.
After Bulma's mother called him for lunch, Vegeta finally stopped training and walked out of the gravity chamber.
As he entered the yard, he suddenly noticed Bulma grinning widely at him.
Vegeta snorted and kept walking.
Suddenly, Bulma began reciting Team Rocket's lines.
"To protect the world from devastation, to unite all peoples within our nation…"
Vegeta's steps froze.
Bulma smiled.
"Vegeta, those words sound familiar, don't they?"
Vegeta clenched his teeth.
"Bulma… who told you those words?"
"Guess."
