Chapter 16: A Lovely Time With Suu (1)
...
Walking through the forest to check up on the blue Slime Girl I was beginning to get very familiar with, I had a small pep in his step. "Hup." Was the sound of me jumping from a broken tree to the other side and continuing on my merry way.
Despite the small hurdles I'd gone through since getting sent to this world and the recent discoveries that only added to my troubles, I had been making headway. It hadn't even been a week, and I'd already done more than I had hoped for.
I tapped into angelic powers early, which helped me feel more at ease about dealing with Monster Girls. I've gone all in on learning and discovering about my light magic, surprising myself at its versatility and ability to destroy. Meanwhile, my swordsmanship skills were gradually improving too, and did I mention Sun Boost, which increased my physical power?
I had been scared of the future threats I'd face, but unlocking these abilities and powers so early in the game had brought a lot of that confidence back. Don't get me wrong, I knew I was still a far cry from being able to face the likes of Ilias.
But I would get to that level. I had to—no, I will get there.
I was going out of the village so early to see Suu because I didn't have anything else to do, and since I was taking this day to rest after discovering the split Sentoria and the existence of a Snow Continent, I desperately needed to use the rest of the day to relax and unwind. So, before getting back to training, going to Suu's felt like as good an idea as any.
As I kept moving, I took a moment to enjoy the scenery of the woods. The forest was lively and bright, unlike at night when I typically travelled. No shit, since it was daytime, but I was being serious here. Maybe it was because this world was magical, but I could definitely see a difference between my world and this one's natural fauna.
The flowers and other plants scattered across the ground were lovely to look at, and they weren't like anything I had seen back home, while others looked more or less the same as I remembered. In the village chief's library, I had taken the time to read a couple of books about plants, and many of the names and drawings looked like nothing I had seen on Earth. There was the green Chamilia flower, a camomile-like flower with light green petals used for soothing the heart, and the Pelutinia root, a lavender-coloured root that could settle stomach acid and more.
I didn't know Jack about plants or herbs, but I was pretty sure these would attract the attention of herbalists from across America. It just goes to show that another world could have substantial differences, even in the smallest things.
Stepping out of the way of a branch in my path, I reached my destination. The roaring sound of the waterfall reached my ears as its rapidly flowing water continued downstream towards the stream. I smiled at the peaceful atmosphere. I could see why Suu had chosen this place as her home. It was just so wonderful here.
Speaking of Suu, where was she? "Suu, you there?" I called out but received no answer. Looking around the place, I didn't see her anywhere. Tilting my head to the entrance of the waterfall, I figured she must be inside.
Cracking my neck, I cloaked myself in a layer of light and squatted down. Counting from three to one, I jumped, feeling the wind blow past my hair. Homing in on the entrance, I quickly closed my eyes and tilted my body to one side. I went through the water and into the cave, rolling across the ground before coming to a stop. Thankfully, I emerged unscathed.
"Five out of ten." Getting up and quickly dusting off my clothes, I look for her.
The farther I went, the darker it became, making me wonder if I should cast some light. Turns out I didn't need to, because the cavern walls were embedded with icy blue crystals that illuminated the space.
I stopped to grab the nearest gem to inspect. I felt its sleek surface between my fingers, tracing it while taking in its soft blue glow. I wasn't a stone expert, but they were pretty and looked like they'd fetch a pretty penny. I didn't know what they were called or what caused them to glow like they did, but I attributed it to just fucking magic and left it at that for now.
Stuffing the crystal into my pocket for later, I resumed my search for Suu.
After travelling for about a minute, I reached the end of the cavern. There, lying in a large pool of clear, icy-blue glowing water, was Suu.
Suu was floating on the surface, resting peacefully in her sleep. I noticed that she had shrunk some and now looked the same as she did when we first met—small and petite.
Seeing her sleeping soundly, my mouth opened in realization. "I should've known she'd be asleep at this time."
We'd been awake the entire night getting to know each other and playing, so it wasn't a surprise that she would be exhausted the next day and want to get some shut-eye.
Unlike me, she didn't have Meditation. Because I'd been abusing this ability to avoid needing sleep, I'd forgotten that other people weren't so lucky. To be fair, I thought that since she wasn't human, she didn't need sleep. An honest mistake.
Realizing I still had much to learn about Monster Girls, I shook my head with a sigh and decided to return later. I turned to leave, but the sound of splashing water stopped me.
Turning back, I saw Suu waking up with a small moan. She stretched her slender arms in the air before pulling herself upright with her tendrils, displaying all of her nude body. I was about to tell her she should cover up but couldn't bring myself to because she was literally sleeping in her own home and didn't have any say in the matter, so I decided to keep quiet and simply smiled at the sight.
Rubbing her eyes, Suu let out a yawn and opened them, and the moment she noticed me, she immediately smiled and ruched to my side.
"Wait, Suu—" I tried to stop her, but she was too quick. Suu jumped at me with open arms, forcing me to catch her. The moment she landed against me, she wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist, thrilled to see me.
I held her legs together to keep her up and gave a defeated sigh. She certainly had a lot of energy. 'But why this position?' I internally muttered as my hand touched her thighs. "Hi, Suu."
The Slime Girl responded with a closed-eyed smile, and her mouth closed shut. My eyes narrowed, suddenly wondering what she had in her mouth. Turns out, I was right to be suspicious. The next moment, Suu spat a mouthful of water directly into my face.
I stood there stunned for a moment before the water simply slid off me thanks to the layer of light covering my body. I looked back at Suu, who was giggly. "Why, you little—"
I hoisted her up in my arms and tossed her back into the water. Suu let out a surprised yelp before a massive splash erupted around her. A second later, her head popped back above the surface with a snicker.
I couldn't help but shake my head, though I couldn't suppress my smile. "You're a troublemaker, Suu."
Suu responded with a goofy grin, placing her knuckle against her head while sticking her tongue out. I had the urge to throw her again just for kicks, but then she beckoned me to join her in the water.
Seeing no reason to refuse, I set my stuff to the side and stepped in. With my light covering my body, I kept my clothes on as I entered the pool, but I do admit it felt out of place, but I wasn't ready to bathe with a naked woman. At least, not yet.
I'm sure some of you are questioning why I'm not screwing Suu into the walls. For a guy who wants his own Monster Girl harem, he sure doesn't fuck. He's so spineless. And to answer your question, it's because I don't think with my dick. Not totally anyway. I'm not an idiot. I want to make it until the end so I can actually enjoy my harem. And I have my personal reasons for waiting, so don't rush me. I will screw a Monster Girl, but only when I damn well feel like it.
Getting off track, the two of us played in the water. I used my light to create several little duckies that floated around the pool. Suu absolutely loved them, chasing after practically every single one and playing with them.
Seeing this, I couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm. I also created several bucket-shaped constructs, filled them with water, and had them float above Suu before dumping their contents over her head. However, she retaliated by firing streams of water from her tendrils, making me throw up a light barrier. The water splashed against it and scattered harmlessly across the surface.

Name: Luka Daystar Age: 14 Race: Human (Sealed Angelic Hybrid)
Items:
Name: Keepsake Ring
Creator: Lucifina
Function: Power containment & maturation regulator
The ring suppresses Luka's full angelic power, preventing premature awakening that would otherwise destroy his body. While worn, Luka operates in a safe zone, allowing extended use of a weaker version of his true abilities without backlash and longer duration. Removing the ring and pushing past limits exceeding a designated time will risk petrification. Removing the ring before maturation will kill him.
Name: Steel Sword
A regular steel sword gifted to him by his sword instructor.
Name: Greatsword
A large, heavy two-handed weapon obtained from the village blacksmith. Despite its weight, Luka can wield it with surprising proficiency due to his natural weapon talent and enhanced physical condition.
Name: Knife
A simple utility blade carried for close combat, survival tasks, and precision use. While basic, it complements Luka's versatility and quick-response fighting style.
...
Core Abilities (Age 14 – Suppressed State)
Holy Affinity (Innate): Gives strong resistance against corruption, curses, and mental interference, resulting in a shockwave of power.
Light Magic (Primary Ability): Luka can generate and manipulate light magic in the form of golden light. His golden light can take any shape or form limited only by his imagination. Light constructs created by him can become as lethal or nonlethal as he pleases. They can become intangible. (phasing through matter) and switch to solid impact instantly. Their weight and density are fully controllable. Constructs can float stationary by themselves or by his command. Using too large of outputs can cause physical weakness, numbness, and fatigue, but can be fully recoverable via meditation. Light magic can also be used to heal others in a warm ray of light.
Swordsmanship (Formless Style): Adaptive, intent-based combat focused on timing and precision rather than brute force.
Weapon Talent: Can use any weapon he comes in contact, but true mastery still requires hard work and experience over time.
Meditation (Passive): Luka can heal his body through focused meditation or when asleep. It instantly heals nearly anything from minor to life-debilitating major injuries as well as fully restores stamina, physical condition, and magical reserves too peak. Pain, however, is still felt.
Cognitive Enhancement (Passive): Luka's mental capabilities are significantly improved due to his hybrid nature. He has a perfect memory, faster processing, learning speed, and above-average problem-solving ability.
Sun Boost (Passive / Conditional / Active): Luka's physical and magical abilities increase drastically during daytime. His strength, speed, stamina, durability, and output rise above anything and everything. In this state he is nearly unbeatable. As the sun sets, his power boost disappears, leaving him significantly weaker at night than if he were a normal person. Moonlight provides a minimal residual effect, allowing limited use of his abilities during night, though at reduced efficiency and power.
