"Xarion, if you're really feeling uncomfortable, I—" Rory hadn't even finished speaking before Xarion interrupted her.
"Female Master, I'm not uncomfortable."
The moment the words left his mouth, a flash of white light swept over him. In the next instant, a small silver-white wolf shot up from beside Rory and landed lightly on the sofa.
With a flick of his fluffy tail, he smacked Cotton Candy—who had been sulking in the corner—and chased him away.
Then he promptly claimed the spot for himself.
For now, he really could still endure it.
Rory watched the scene in silent confusion.
Jasper glanced at the little wolf and explained to Rory, "Rory, when males are in their rut, it's often much easier for them to bear if they stay in their beast form."
The silver wolf immediately nodded his furry head in agreement.
"Female Master, Jasper is right. Believe me—I can endure it."
It would only last a few days. He would be fine.
