By the time Rory finished packing, Xarion had already returned from chasing Aren.
"You came back alone?" Rory asked, surprised when she saw him enter the room by himself. "Where's Aren?"
Xarion looked slightly irritated as he explained. "He ran too fast. I couldn't catch him."
A succubus—how could he possibly move that quickly?
Xarion stepped closer and lowered his head apologetically.
"I'm sorry, Female Master. I couldn't bring him back."
Rory didn't blame him. It wasn't as if Xarion had failed on purpose.
"It's alright," she said. "I'll just send him a message on my communicator and ask him to come back."
She opened her device and sent Aren a message.
Rory:
Aren, I'm not sick. You don't need to look for medicine for me. Come back right away.
She still had several questions she wanted to ask him.
Meanwhile, Aren was already on his way toward Beast God Mountain. When he saw Rory's message, a wave of emotion surged through his chest.
