"Help us! Open up! Please!" The men at the end of the gate screamed.
Marcus stood up.
"What is it, Mark? Is something wrong?" Jerry asked, tilting his head as confusion settled beneath his cold blue eyes.
Marcus slightly shook his head, raising an arm as he said, "No, nothing's wrong. It's just…"
I raised a brow, curiosity sinking deep within me.
"It's just what?" I asked, folding my arms.
"That voice… it sounds familiar." Marcus completed, narrowing his eyes as he stared ahead with a saddened expression.
Someone related to him?
"There's no space here! You'll have to find somewhere else to stay!"
My attention snapped as the boss's words echoed across all four walls of the station. I narrowed my eyes, gazing at him.
Again with that bullshit?
Marcus's fists curled up as his saddened expression darkened completely.
"Why don't you go find out what's wrong?" Jerry asked.
I turned to look at Jerry, raising a surprised brow.
I didn't expect that.
