Zade was the first to wake.
For a few seconds, he just lay there, the heavy, sluggish fog of the food coma slowly burning off to leave his mind completely sharp. He didn't move an inch.
He couldn't, really, but more importantly, he didn't want to. Being the absolute jerk that he was, he couldn't help but let a slow, smug grin spread across his face at the sight before him.
Here was Rai.
The very same Rai who had spent the better part of the bed kicking, swearing, and throwing absolute tantrums.
And yet, right now? The defensive walls had completely crumbled. Rai was thoroughly relaxed, dead to the world, and curled so tightly into Zade's arms that there wasn't a single breath of air between them.
His face was pressed directly against Zade's chest, his breathing soft, even, and entirely peaceful.
