Rai's day after unfolded in slow, quiet, repetitive motions. He ate a quick lunch, swept the dust off the living room floor, and then found himself drifting. Aimless steps carried him from one corner of the house to another. Halfway through going to the kitchen to boil water for tea, his mind wandered. He stopped mid-stride in the narrow hallway, his eyes fixing on Zade's door.
He just stood there staring.
Rai then snapped out of his daze, forgot about the tea entirely, walked back to the couch, and sat down with his laptop resting on his knees.
He began to type, but his fingers moved without real rhythm.
It was... boring. Painfully, suffocatingly boring.
In the past, Rai had never considered being a alone was boring. He used to view it as a privilege.
But now, even if he hated admitting it to himself: he missed the bastard.
He wanted Zade here right now to annoy him, to make some ridiculous comment, or to barg in and break the silence.
