"Useless! Why haven't you attacked yet?!"
A short-haired vampire woman roared into her headset from the shadows. Her naturally curly blonde hair gave her a sharp, professional look. Her slender legs, accentuated by minimalist black heels, arched gracefully as she stood on the balcony. Her cherry-pink nail polish gleamed like fresh blossoms against her pale skin — stunning enough to steal anyone's breath.
But none of the bodyguards around her dared to stare for long. They only glanced quickly and then looked away.
Though this vampire princess was already married, she was far from weak or naive.
She wasn't just a pretty face — she controlled assets worth nearly five billion dollars and was a powerful woman in her own right.
"Ma'am, S.H.I.E.L.D. special forces are here too! Their firepower is too strong — we can't move up!"
"I don't care how you do it! If you can't break through in five minutes, you'll never stand again!"
Her voice was icy, filled with murderous intent even through the headset.
"Yes, ma'am, I'll—ah!"
Beep. Beep. Beep.
A scream cut off the call. The line went dead.
Danica's eyes flickered. The spy she had planted beside her father, North, had reported that Captain America was leading an assault on the castle.
She instantly realized this was the perfect chance to seize her father's estate. If her father happened to "die accidentally" during the chaos, his vast fortune would become hers.
First come, first served.
She had to act before her other siblings even caught wind of the situation!
But at this crucial moment, the elite guard force she had spent a fortune training to match special ops units was completely suppressed.
"Trash! All of you are useless!"
Danica was stunning — her beauty and seductive figure were preserved by her vampire physiology, allowing her to remain eternally youthful.
But behind that allure hid a vicious mind. It had been her who spread false rumors about Captain America earlier, fanning the flames to frame him.
Her plan had originally targeted both S.H.I.E.L.D. and her sister Nissa, but it had fallen apart.
Now, wearing a tight, protective suit, she picked up a telescope and climbed to a higher vantage point.
Through the lens, she spotted around twenty S.H.I.E.L.D. agents — not many, but their coordination was remarkable. Even when injured, they didn't fall back.
Then, she noticed something strange.
The wounded agents were actually healing — slowly but visibly!
That shouldn't have been possible. Injuries were supposed to reduce combat strength, dull reflexes, and cause hesitation. But these soldiers were fighting as if nothing had happened!
"This isn't normal…" Danica muttered, jealousy flaring in her eyes.
This should have been her secret weapon — her resource. If her earlier plan had succeeded, she could have infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., replaced key figures, and turned the agency into her own puppet.
How infuriating!
Her thoughts were interrupted when she noticed a tall, athletic woman on the battlefield.
It was Heidi, the Female Winter Soldier.
In full hunting mode, Heidi moved like a blur — taking down heavily armed soldiers with a single punch.
Her blows dented bulletproof vests and crushed hearts.
Her dagger spun deftly between her fingers; when enemies focused on the motion, her blade sliced their throats in an instant.
If they tried to keep their distance, she simply switched to her handgun and shot them between the eyes — clean, efficient, deadly.
The Female Winter Soldier was an unstoppable killing machine. Against elite S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers, she was already terrifying. Against normal troops, she would be a nightmare.
Watching from behind, Crossbones and his men felt a chill.
Thankfully, this woman was on their side. If they had to face her, they wouldn't stand a chance.
With the Female Winter Soldier fighting outside, and Blade and Chad Norma holding the inside, victory seemed certain.
When Nissa arrived, Chad Norma had already recovered from his injuries.
He grabbed his father, North, by the throat with one hand.
"Father, it's time for you to feel all the pain you inflicted on me!"
"You ungrateful son…" North coughed blood, his voice faint. "Everything I did was for our clan's future. Sacrificing you was—ah!"
Before he could finish, Chad sank his fangs into his neck. He ended his father's life swiftly, not turning him into a mindless monster.
Nissa's pale face showed mixed emotions. Despite her calm exterior, watching her father die brought her a pang of sorrow.
Steve Rogers stepped forward, his tone steady. "Wife, send someone to take control of the castle. Reorganize the forces and eliminate anyone untrustworthy. There was also a small group outside — they've been dealt with. They were from the DuPont family."
He wanted to test the evolution serum on Nissa, but now wasn't the time.
North was dead. There was no point wasting his death — might as well inherit everything cleanly.
"The DuPont family…" Nissa frowned. "I have several brothers and sisters married into that family."
The DuPonts were a massive conglomerate, with deep roots in the chemical and arms industries.
Their most well-known product? Durex.
No one knew exactly how much wealth old North had left behind, but judging from how eagerly his offspring had married into powerful families, it was undoubtedly enormous.
Click, click, click.
The sound of high heels echoed through the corridor — each ten-centimeter step sharp and deliberate. The marble floor reflected the figure of a woman with a perfect hourglass shape, her every movement a masterclass in elegance and temptation.
Sharon Carter appeared with a graceful smile, gently linking her arm with Nissa's. Her beauty radiated charm and refinement, and Steve couldn't help swallowing as he looked at her. She was breathtaking.
"Nissa," Sharon said sweetly, "my husband was worried you couldn't handle everything alone, so he asked me to come and help. We'll be family soon, so don't let things become distant between us."
Nissa smiled politely. "Of course not. I'm already getting a headache over all this — it's wonderful to have you here, sister."
She wasn't stupid — she didn't want to embarrass Steve, but she wasn't about to bow her head either.
After all, she was older. Calling Sharon "sister" didn't sit right.
"Hehe, you're really good at joking," Sharon replied with a hint of teasing. "No wonder your husband loves you most."
Was Sharon trying to assert dominance subtly? Nissa narrowed her eyes. No way she'd let that slide.
Steve immediately sensed the tension. Could this be… a spark of a harem fire?
He coughed awkwardly. "Ahem. Good thing you both came — I have something to discuss."
Without another word, he gently pushed the two women into the bedroom and closed the door behind them.
Bang!
When in doubt — let emotions vent!
Once the "battle" inside ended, and tempers cooled, wouldn't they be more at peace afterward?
Genius move!
With his Evil Aura boosting recovery by 100%, and his own enhanced stamina, it didn't matter whether the opponent was a charming agent or a beautiful vampire — Captain America could handle them all!
