"I want to kill him."
When Merath heard these words from Jorra, she released a soft sigh.
"I also want to kill him, but that would cause more problems for us."
Jorra did not respond and just kept on staring at Simon's back with disgust and anger.
"He knows too much. He has to die. Since the clan has branded him as a slave, they wouldn't mind even if he dies."
Merath shook her head. "That's not true. He's a suspect in the death of Thorgan, I have a feeling that the clan wants to find the culprit by all means."
"And even if they don't want to, it would be too suspicious if Blackmoon is killed after his interrogation. They might think that somebody is trying to silence him, and that would lead to an even bigger investigation from the clan."
"If that happens, our chances of completing the mission of The Abyss would drastically decrease, and we might have no choice but to escape."
The more Merath explained, the uglier Jorra's expression became.
