Moving through the busy streets of Water City, Ningyan and Meishan walked side by side in their disguises.
Their goal was simple: leave the Heavenly Realm.
And to do that, they needed transportation.
They eventually reached the bustling ports along the city's edge, where ships were docked along long wooden bridges. Some vessels were being cleaned, others were being loaded with cargo in preparation for departure.
Beastfolk moved everywhere, carrying goods, shouting instructions, hauling ropes.
Ningyan quietly observed the ships, trying to determine which ones were preparing to depart.
"Do you think any ships are leaving the Heavenly Realm tonight?" Meishan asked.
They continued walking along the bridge, passing workers and merchants while examining the vessels.
From what Ningyan could see, at least six ships looked ready to sail.
"I suppose we'll have to ask in a way the captains would appreciate," Ningyan replied with a grin behind his mask.
