The sky was too dark tonight, and the sea breeze blew strongly, carrying a bone-chilling cold. Apart from Jasmine, everyone else could only sleep temporarily on the wasteland for the night. With torches lit and people keeping watch, there was no danger; sleeping by the warm flickering fire was actually more comfortable than in that cramped, damp, and moldy cave.
Early the next morning, Jasmine was woken up by noise from outside.
Although a layer of dry grass had been spread on the ground, sleeping in a cramped rock cave only half a person high was still very uncomfortable. Upon waking up, Jasmine felt her whole body aching, her bones feeling like they were falling apart, and her neck was stiff; it seemed she had a slight crick in her neck.
Her arms were empty; the "Black Dragon body pillow" she had held all night was nowhere to be found. Jasmine was startled, rubbed her stiff neck, and crawled out of the rock cave.
"Lord William, do we really get to eat such delicious food?"
