Serpentine's pov.
I was sitting in class, the faint sounds of students talking around me and the stillness of that moment making me smile a little. Assuring myself that.. 'im having a great life.' i thought as i looked up at the teacher giving a lecture on math i didn't understand. I didn't even bother study these days. I sat still on my desk, head pressed against my arms as i closed my eyes.
The teacher walked past me before turning at me again and approaching me with a slight annoyed stare. "What's up teach?" I asked in a casual lazy tone. The teacher scowled before nudging me and speaking up "pay attention to class." He almost spat out before going back to teaching. I just looked at him with a raised brow before immediately going back to trying to sleep. Unfortunately it didn't work.
The bell rang and the teacher left... Suprisingly fast.. 'why is he acting so werid today?' i pondered as everyone just stood in their seats, unmoving. Not even breathing. I looked around awkwardly as everyone just... Looked at me? "Uh, guys? Knock it off." I said in a slightly trembling voice. My eyes sharpening slightly while my legs tightened, ready to run for it. 'Somethings feels really off.' i looked around at everyone observing them. "Okay seriously it's not funny anymore stop it..." I stepped back slightly as everyone got up from their seats. Approaching me slowly.
I jump up immeasurable trying to run through the door, but i couldn't move. Not a single muscle moved. 'WHATS GOING ON?' I tried to scream out, but i only screamed in my mind. My mouth not even opening. I could feel my heart just... Stopping. Nothing in my body moved, not even the blood cells. I looked straight forward, my eyes seemingly refusing to move aswell.
Hundreds of chains wrapped around me, ensnaring every single part of me. I tried struggling but to no avail. 'Why is this happening to me?!' i screamed in my mind. I wanted to cry but not even the tears were able to move. I watched as everyone approached me. They reached out, i wanted to close my eyes. Oh i wish I could have closed them. But as soon as his finger was a mere breath away from touching me...
I woke up, Screaming.... I looked around in fear and shock before realizing it was all just... "A bad nightmare?" A voice asked playfully behind me. I turned around to see another female student talking to me. "Huh? Who are you?" I asked, seemingly not recognizing her. She giggled and pinched my arm "stop making jokes with me!" She laughed out. as if what I told her some kind of amazing joke. "No.. seriously who are you?" I asked in genuine confusion, tilting my head along as the words came out of my mouth.
The girls eyes suddenly widened. But then immediately went back to normal "I'm... I'm your fri-" she tried to talk but i interrupted before she could even finish talking. "No you're not. Explain to me who you are." I said coldly. I didn't care for her as i just met her. The girl then suddenly smirked and looked up at me "looks like you're not as dumb as the rest." She said before snapping her fingers and I woke up... Again.
I'm back to my class now but it's at the middle of night, no one was even inside the building at this point. My mind was filled with a million questions with no answers. 'what the hell was that nightmare, and more importantly... Who's that cute girl?' i thought hard as i looked at the wall like it had a relationship with my daughter that I didn't approve of. "I don't have any answers anyway... I'll just go back home. It's not like I can solve all of this in a day." I slapped my face before leaving the school building and walked along the street. 'maybe this girl is... A different person in another world... Or is she a goddess who had taking a liking to me?' i thought way too excitedly.
I cringed at what I just thought. "I should stop reading so much romance and fantasy..." I shook my head before walking into my room with a slightly more traumatized face than usual.
