Chapter 99 - Weekend Plans

Lana, Dobin, Chekof and Blaine decided to go to Blaine's room after leaving Paul to handle his end. While everyone sat down, Chekof asked them all to close their eyes for a few minutes while he got out his device.

As he removed his device from its hiding place, Chekof noted he had no messages and smiled. It meant everything was okay on their end. Without turning around, he recorded his own message.

[Abel plans to abduct me and others on Friday. Techno Family will likely create a rescue force. You should be able to create an alliance with them to make it more likely to succeed. They know my brother has already been taken but nothing else. Awaiting any further orders. End Transmission.]

He hit the send button and returned the device to its storage location. After making sure the chances of finding it were slim, he returned to his friends.

Dobin and Chekof sat on the edge of his bed while Lana and Blaine sat on the edge of his bed, facing each other.

"So how do we keep my sister safe?" Dobin said through gritted teeth, his eyes clouded in intense anger with an undertone of fear.

"Dobin, I think at this point, it's best you and the others work with Paul and the family as a rescue force. We will be on our own inside." Lana tried to speak with compassion, but she couldn't hide her own fear.

Blaine held her tighter, "I'll do everything I can to protect you. I'll probably have to switch to Kyle and let him handle it. If he can promise me, he'll stay strong and keep you safe."

Kyle swapped out, "I'll keep her safe. The witch can't tell us apart so I will just have to pretend to be Blaine for a while. The problem we have is we have never been in the building before, don't even know where it is. So, making plans is very difficult."

Chekof spoke up, "we have been able to map out a good portion of the building so I know where we will not be taken. The problem is, I need permission to share that information. We only have a couple days left to plan so I'm hoping they get back to me soon so we can start. At the very least, we need to get everyone together tomorrow and see who wants in and go from there."

Dobin was furious but there was nothing he could do about it. "We meet together after class tomorrow?"

Lana nodded, "I'm sure Paul will want to discuss this with us. In the mean time, our little Kent will be four weeks old on Tuesday. This means while he still needs milk, he can have food as well. I'm going to see if he can eat some crystals while he's at it. I want him stronger if we are going to meet Barica."

Kyle's jaw tightened at the thought. Kent was his as much as hers as far as he was concerned. It would be just like her to kill an innocent just to hurt people and force them to stay in line, the one she created. He would not let that happen.

"If he were willing to stay with Dobin or Kattie we could make sure he was safe but I know he'd never agree to that," Kyle caressed his four-legged son, his first-born as he claimed it.

Lana agreed, "I explained in the simplest terms I could come up with. He said he will stay at my side. He lost one mother, he refuses to lose another."

Kyle smiled, "that's a strong little guy right there. Do you have the crystals you need to evolve him?"

Lana smirked, "I should be able to give him four evolutions putting him at level-5. I can't start until Tuesday, though. That's only 4 days and way too many evolutions. I will allow him two and it won't be easy on him."

Kyle nodded, "I want to be there for it. We need to help our little guy through this."

Lana nodded. She looked at Chekof and Dobin, "I think we should just rest for the night, as best we can any way."

Dobin nodded and walked out like he was ready to kill. They all knew he wouldn't sleep much that night.

Kyle took off his watch and handed it to Chekof without saying a word.

Chekof looked deeply into both their eyes. He took the watch and put it on his other arm then dug out his book. He leaned back and started to read as though nothing was going on.

Kyle readied himself then went invisible. He also used silent step. Placing his hand on Lana's back, they left the room and returned to hers.

On the way to her side of the bed, they noticed Kattie was already in bed. This time, however, she wasn't alone as they could see a purple-haired head down lower causing her to make very familiar sounds. The couple smiled.

With Lana's closet open, she changed into a silk nighty that Lana would never have bought for herself. Kyle watched her change but also blocked any potential view of her while changing. He was happy for Kattie but he'd be damned if another man saw his woman's naughty-bits.

Lana turned around and looked in his eyes once she finished getting dressed. His eyes were on fire between seeing her and the sounds behind him, he smirked. He pulled his robe out of her bracelet, put it on then removed his pants.

Lana giggled then bit her bottom lip. She closed the doors and put the lock back on.

Kyle turned her around, picked her up and wrapped her legs around him. Before long, there were competing sounds. Before they were done, Kyle took her in the bathroom for easier cleanup.

Still breathless, he held her close, "you know I'm marrying you when this is over, right?"

Lana smiled brightly then giggled, "I'm still 16. I can't without a parent's consent."

"Then we either have a long engagement or I convince Cece Techno that not every Abel is bad. I was serious when I said I don't want a future if you're not in it. I meant every word."

"What ever arrangement we need to make that a reality, I'm in," Lana smiled as her eyes twinkled in the soft bathroom light.

They cleaned up then he carried her to the bedside. He pulled back the covers and placed her in like she was the most prized treasure in existence. He retrieved his pants and placed all of his clothes in the bracelet after climbing in next to her. He turned on her globe then cuddled in close. He got out a bottle to feed Kent who joined in the cuddles. He wrapped both tentacles around his parents' arms and enjoyed his dinner. The little family was asleep before curfew sounded.

They woke up before the sun and hadn't even heard Almin leave. They kissed tenderly then Kyle dressed and let himself out, telling her to go back to sleep. He let himself out via his phasing ability, in invisibility/silent mode once again. Lana fell back to sleep while Kent was eating.

Blaine climbed back in his bed but didn't sleep. His mind was reeling on what was to come. His father had learned a lot about the company and taught him some of it. He recalled the more sensitive research was conducted in labs in the many levels below ground. He had a feeling that was where they would be taken. Father said that place has more locks than the world's gold reserves. We are going into this with just us. Fuck.

Blaine briefly thought about contacting his father but realized that would jeopardize Lana and Kent. As far as he was concerned, they were his only family. He lay in bed wracking his brain trying to find a way to keep them safe with no ideas coming to mind.

Blaine's mind stayed preoccupied throughout the next day. He accompanied her to breakfast and lunch like normal but was not interacting the way he normally did. Lana handled all Kent's meals for the day.

Paul, Blaine, and Lana called their teams to Paul's room as soon as classes let out. Once everyone was settled, Paul chose to open the meeting.

"It has come to our attention that a danger is fast approaching. While my parents asked for us to stand down and let them handle it, I explained things and they have decided to allow us to help. Lana, Chekof and Blaine will be taken from us on Friday. We are to allow this to happen. What I need to know is if any of you want to be on the rescue team. If not, please leave the room now."

Paul waited a few moments and not a single person even twitched. Paul smiled. "I was hoping for this."

"Does mom have a plan?" Dobin asked.

"She's working on one. She needs an idea of number of people, strengths and weaknesses to know where to put everyone, for now, don't speak about this and I'll update you when we have something. For now, carry on with your schedules and I'll keep you posted."

Those interested followed Lana to the tree for dinner. Kattie and Rene cooked while Blaine held Lana close. On the roof of the first-year dorm building, something else was happening.

A small device was activated, "Is His Majesty available? I need to speak directly to him," Karlen said before the person at the other end had a chance to speak.

"One moment, I'll check."

A few minutes later, a new voice was on the line, "Karlen, has something happened?"

"At the moment, it looks like a move is going to be made against the fairy girl. She doesn't know she's a fairy, still, but volunteers were selected to participate in an expected rescue. I have volunteered already but I was wondering if you wanted any others to join just in case? The Techno Family is organizing forces."

"What are the werewolves doing on this one?"

"I don't know yet. Chekof is on the list to be taken as well. These humans already have werewolf DNA and it must be destroyed but I don't know their plans."

Karlen heard a tongue click the roof of the King's mouth. "I guess I will need to contact them…"

A sigh was heard as the king was forced to make a distasteful decision. "I'll update you when I know more."
