Cherreads

Chapter 122 - Back in Formation

Lana gasped when she saw a shop, "ice cream!!!"

Kyle laughed, "I guess we're getting ice cream…"

She pulled his hand toward the shop before he finished speaking. Lana looked at her options and quickly stated her choice, "triple chocolate brownie fudge sundae, please!"

"Whipped cream?"

"Yes! With a cherry but no sprinkles!"

Kyle was chuckling at her simple delight, "is that big enough to share?"

The server looked at Lana who nodded happily, "I insist. Two spoons, please!"

Tanisha ordered a simple sundae and paid for them.

She sat near the entrance to give them some privacy. With two spoons, she didn't want to watch what was going to happen.

An hour later, they were done. The ice cream had all melted into their brownie, but they didn't care. Tomorrow they would return to the military and need to go back to being all serious. They wanted to feel like the young couple in love that they were.

Next, they entered a jewelry store. To Kyle, every Matriarch needed their own collection. It was also an investment in family wealth. While Lana and Tanisha perused the selections and made comments, Kyle went off to see the manager.

About 45 minutes later, Kyle came back out carrying a jewelry box. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and placed it in her bracelet.

"Hey! That was cool! Are you saying you didn't need me to buy this bag?" Tanisha looked unhappy, like she had let them down.

"Um, actually Tanisha, there is limited space in there right now. I need to reorganize it since we've been just dropping things in there. I think once we open our presents, I'll have to fix it but for now, we may still need that bag."

"Have you ladies seen anything you have to have?"

Lana shook her head. "There are a lot of pretty things but nothing that says I need to have it. How about you Tanisha? Do you even own any jewelry?"

She shook her head, "I don't but like you, there is nothing here that screams me but there are some great art pieces."

"In that case, may I suggest we go to the clothing shop next door? Surely that would be to your liking." Kyle smiled.

Lana chuckled, "Keep that up and I'll need another closet!"

He smirked, "you should need 3."

He then led his wife and his sister to the store and watched them look around. Most items, of course, had the logo of the garden on it but some were simple floral patterns. Kyle saw something in the back of the room and went to check it out. He smiled broadly, looked for her size and brought it to her. She squealed, took the sundress and hat and raced to the dressing room. Little Kent almost fell off with the unexpected acceleration.

Tanisha found a few things she liked and purchased them. Whether she liked it or not, the clothes they wore at home simply weren't in style. Just after she placed her purchases in her bag, she saw Lana come out of the dressing room. She had a stunning smile on her face. Kyle looked at the clerk.

"Can she wear this out and I just pay for it?"

After the clerk's response, a few moments later, she walked out in her new dress carrying Kent.

"Back to the hotel, Tanisha." Kyle sounded commanding but his eyes on his wife said a lot more.

Lana and Kyle quickly placed their gifts in the bracelet for easier transport.

While Tanisha piloted the ship back to the hotel, Kyle piloted his wife's body, much to the chagrin of his sister who had to hear every gasp, moan and scream they shared. Kent sat in a seat with his tentacles over his eyes and ears, sleeping.

In the living room of their hotel, the trio sat down as they pulled gift after gift from the bracelet. Before long there was a detailed list of everything they were given. The last one they opened was the envelope from the world leaders, as well as her mother. The planet was hers but only after she finished the current school year. They wanted her to be 17 but were willing to accept her being within a few weeks of her birthday.

They had been opening them then placing them away so the room wouldn't get cluttered. Lana was bubbly after discovering she had a planet. The implications were vast. She could create her own family, a faction, even open up plant research or conservation.

But first she needed to celebrate as her husband carried them back to their room.

Kent jumped off and snuggled on the pillow that smelled like Mom and resumed his tentacles over his ears and eyes position. The couple pleasured each other for the rest of the night with two meal breaks in the process. A tired Tanisha knocked on their door at 1:30 in the morning. When she didn't hear anything, she cracked the door open.

"It's time to head back. You can sleep on the ship. We are to park on the Techno Estate and use their teleporter to return to school."

She heard groans and they weren't the happy kind. She smirked when she closed the door, knowing some day she would have a similar experience. However, she would not be in school!

They didn't sleep. They had spent so much time together and they were going back to a schedule of separate classes. They were going to enjoy the time together while they could.

At 4:30 in the morning, three tired teenagers teleported into the military academy.

The guards immediately went on alert until they saw the student watches.

"Welcome back Abel Family. We were told to expect you. Classes start on schedule."

They nodded and returned to their rooms to shower and get ready for their day. All three couldn't wait for summer break. Lana and Blaine took an extra-long shower while Kyle cheated and got some rest in the back of their head. Being on base was Blaine's thing. Soon they were dressed and knocking on the doors of their friends and Dobin to all go to breakfast together.

When Lana walked into the DFAC, she took one look at the food and didn't want to eat it. She was getting spoiled by gourmet food. She decided on bacon only then went to the salad bar, made a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich as well as some yogurt with fruit and nuts.

As she sat down, she playfully glared at Blaine, "this is your fault!" she said as she ate her meal.

Blaine grinned, "I'm glad I have taught you the joy of quality food!"

Lana looked around her table at all their friends and smiled. She was quite content after the busy week they had and a weekend spent in bliss. She wasn't happy to be back in uniform, but summer break was a few months away. She also wondered when they would announce who the participants of the special outing were going to be.

Breakfast was over quickly and they soon were in formation with Tanisha walking along side Sergeant Rage. While Tanisha was given immunity, Lana was not.

Lana had trouble concentrating during her classes, looking forward to lunch where she could spend time with Blaine. She also missed her friends and her brother. She handed him a snow globe from the gardens the moment she saw him so he would know she thought of him while they were apart.

The rest of the day went pretty quickly. After dinner she was going to have her first spar with Tanisha then read the document Blaine got her. She had been a bit preoccupied the past few days to do so. She read just enough to know it was about her past, but she wanted time to digest it. Kyle came out during the second half of agriculture class. He duplicated the last of the books left on the shelf then they headed out to the tree.

"Do you want to head to your lab?" Kyle asked.

She looked thoughtful, "I wanted to let you know the invisible person is no longer following me. He wasn't at breakfast."

Kyle nodded, "so the school had no involvement with him. It was just grandmother."

Lana nodded, "that's what it looks like."

"Are you okay? You look like you have something on your mind."

Lana bit her bottom lip, "It really was too easy, wasn't it."

Kyle nodded, "Part of me wants to see what abilities the employees have but she had access to all the places we heavily invest in as well. I think our only option is to wait and see."

She looked at him with concern in her eyes, "do we need to hide from her ghost? Are we truly free of her?"

Kyle placed his hand under her chin as he held her gaze, "we are done hiding. We are Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Abel. Even if she does come back, she doesn't have the same body. She won't be as strong. Just promise me if she does, you'll touch me before doing anything so I can help you fight her next time."

Lana smiled, "yes, My Love. I promise."
