Chapter 28 - Collecting Credits

Kaiser left the Student Council office, then immediately set off to the club building. He needed to get enough credits before tomorrow, then purchase the cameras.

From the reactions of President Anthony and his assistant; Reas, he deduced that what he was about to do had never been implemented.

'Well, let's find someone… useful.'

Scanning the seniors who walked in and out of the luxurious club building, Kaiser's eyes settled on a timid senior with orange hair. She was quite short, had her shoulders slumped, and wore a dark expression.

Keeping his expression neutral, Kaiser straightened, then approached her.

....

Khanna had been having a bad day. As a second-year from Class-D, she never had enough credits to spend. With their class being sucked dry by the damned Vice-President, she was low on funds.

Coupled with her bad performance during training today, she was very depressed. Even then, she forced herself to go for the club meeting scheduled today. At least, the club allowed her to get some extra credits.

Suddenly, a shadow was cast over her, and she almost bumped into someone.

"Ah?!"

Startled, she immediately looked up. Her eyes caught sight of a delicately handsome face adorned with blue hair and apathetic blue eyes. The person standing before her didn't move, also gazing at her. His expression was neutral, as if he didn't care about the world.

'Such… beauty…'

Staring into those mesmerizing blue eyes, Khanna felt her cheeks flush. Why was there someone this beautiful in the world? She felt like she had committed a sin just by looking at him. Even Vice-President Eren couldn't compare to him. At the thought of that blonde guy, she sobered up slightly.

She hurriedly shook her head, then composed herself.

"Sorry about that. I wasn't focused while walking."

She immediately apologized, realizing her situation. She had almost bumped into this person.

The boy nodded subtly, then opened his pale lips.

"Ah, it's fine."

Khanna froze, her eyes wide. That voice, so gentle, seemingly slithered around her heart. How could there be a voice so pleasant? She quietly wondered.

'What is this? This feeling?'

Her heart thumped in her chest, as if it would escape the confines of her ribcage at any moment. Still, she quickly composed herself, then fumbled for words.

"O-oh okay. I, uhm, I'm Khanna, by the way."

The boy blinked, seemingly interested. "Kaiser."

Before she could think on how pleasant his name sounded, he continued.

"I was wondering if this senior could guide me in a small issue actually…"

Before he even finished talking, she nodded like a chicken pecking at rice grains.

"Of course." She coughed awkwardly. "Uh, you can tell this senior your problem."

Kaiser nodded, revealing a hint of a faint smile, then led her to a quiet corner.

...…..

Ten minutes later, Kaiser left the club building, then made his way back to the dormitory. He checked his account balance, which had reduced by thirty thousand credits.

'Haa… it went better than expected.'

Surprisingly, that short upperclassman had revealed everything he needed to know, earning his acknowledgement. He could sense that she was a bit poor, so he gave her thirty thousand credits as payment for the information. This wasn't just useless kindness or a selfless act, but just his own principles.

'If the result is satisfactory, give a reward.'

He soon arrived at the dorm, unlocked his door, then stepped inside. He dropped his schoolbag on the table, then changed into comfortable clothes. Sitting at the edge of the bed, he began to operate on his phone. Firstly, he created a new social media account, then ensured it was was untraceable back to him.

Immediately after, he sent a message to Liam, using the new account.

Sherlock Holmes: Evening, Class-E. I have special information for you.

He placed the phone on the bed, then proceeded to listen to some soft music. Exactly seven minutes later, he received a reply.

Liam Hart: Good evening. I hope you're doing well. Can I get a better explanation on the special information you mean?

Kaiser's eyes crinkled in amusement. 'As expected of him. Always courteous even to total strangers. How amusing.'

He immediately typed and replied.

Sherlock Holmes: School Rules.

...…

As usual, Liam was training with his seniors from the Spear Club, diligently listening to the instructions being given out.

"Keep your posture straight! You can't be fazed when facing an enemy! Let your determination flow through your limbs!"

The loud voice of the Club President spread through the training area. He walked about, inspecting the posture of his club members, then nodded in satisfaction.

"Alright! You guys did well today. You've got fifteen minutes break before we have the last stretch."

Liam sighed, wiped the sweat from his brows, then went to sit on the bench. He could feel the stares of the female upperclassmen trailing his figure. Being the only first-year to have been accepted, he had garnered quite some attention.

Ping!

The chime of a notification from his phone made him pick it up. Someone he didn't know had messaged him a few minutes ago.

'Hm? Who could it be?'

He checked the message.

Sherlock Holmes: Evening, Class-E. I have special information for you.

Liam's eyes sharpened instantly. Although he found the name strange and archaic, he didn't dwell on it. Instead, he reread the message that was sent to him.

'Special information? What does this mean?'

He pondered deeply about the message. The person hadn't addressed him directly, but had called him 'Class-E'.

'Does that mean he knows I'm the representative of Class-E?'

Well, it wasn't that much of a surprise. During the fresher's party, he had been the one to represent his class. So definitely, the special information wasn't meant for him alone, but for the entire class.

'Could it be…?'

He immediately typed a reply, trying to calm his agitated heart.

Liam Hart: Good evening. I hope you're doing well. Can I get a better explanation on the special information you mean?

Liam closed his eyes, waiting for the reply. It came in less than one minute.

Sherlock Holmes: School Rules

Instantly, Liam's eyes widened, and he realized. Was someone trying to give them the school rules? Surely, there must be a price.

His expression hardened. This… was real business.
