Then he shook his head and said, "I should have known that there was nothing good to eat about it. If there was something great about it, Fenrir would have informed me just after seeing it. The only thing I've learned after wasting all of that lifespan is that it is worse than worthless."
After taking one last look at the sea of death, he took to the sky. He didn't want to linger about this black sea any longer than necessary because he had been spooked by it.
What had spooked him was how he had lost the lifespan and law fragment. He had lost those things because a mysterious force had descended onto Fenrir in the core of his Cave Heaven through the black forcefield.
That force had bypassed all of his defenses to reach the core of his very being, even though he didn't touch the black sea with his body. He had only touched it with an ability, yet the effect had been so unnerving.
