Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Kawasaki's Enlightenment! The Mangekyo! The Secret of Blindness! Isn't This Invincibility?

Kawasaki stared blankly at his own hands, his mind reeling from the torrent of information that had flooded into it the moment his Mangekyo Sharingan awakened. He finally understood the true nature of the Uchiha's ultimate dojutsu.

The so-called blindness from overusing the Mangekyo Sharingan wasn't a physical ailment of the eyes themselves. It wasn't that the eyes couldn't withstand the immense ocular power. Rather, it was the user's soul that couldn't bear the burden.

"So that's how it is... so that's how it is!" Kawasaki had an epiphany, his eyes shining with newfound understanding. The Mangekyo Sharingan was a power that originated from the soul, a pure manifestation of extreme spiritual energy.

The Uchiha clan inherited the spiritual prowess of the Sage of Six Paths—the power of Yin Release. Their Sharingan, especially the Mangekyo, was the ultimate expression of this spiritual energy. Conversely, the Senju clan inherited the Sage's immense life force and physical energy—the power of Yang Release. This fundamental difference was the legacy of the Sage's two sons, Indra and Asura.

To control the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan, a power born from the soul, one needed an exceptionally powerful soul to sustain it. Every use of the Mangekyo's abilities drained the user's spiritual energy, or in other words, their very soul. When the soul was depleted to a critical level, it could no longer support the eyes, leading to the loss of light—blindness.

This was why there were two known methods to overcome this weakness. The first was to transplant the Mangekyo Sharingan of a close relative, typically a sibling, to awaken the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. This process essentially merged the spiritual power of two Uchiha, resulting in a much stronger, more resilient soul capable of withstanding the Mangekyo's strain. The second method was to integrate the cells of Hashirama Senju. The immense life force and Yang Release chakra from his cells could constantly replenish the user's vitality, indirectly nourishing and sustaining the soul, thus preventing it from being depleted.

But Kawasaki was different. He didn't need to kill a sibling or transplant someone else's cells. He had his system. The system could directly enhance the strength of his soul! All he needed were Source Points.

In other words, as long as he had enough Source Points, he could continuously strengthen his soul to an unimaginable degree. A soul that powerful could easily bear the burden of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Blindness would never be a concern for him. He could use his Mangekyo abilities as much as he wanted, without any side effects!

"Excellent! This way, I don't have to worry about going blind!" Kawasaki clenched his fists, his heart pounding with exhilaration. This meant he could use even the most draining techniques, like the Susanoo, without restraint. He had truly broken the curse of the Uchiha.

Moreover, Kawasaki also discovered the unique abilities his own Mangekyo possessed. Just as Obito had Kamui and Itachi had Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu, his eyes held their own distinct powers.

His left eye possessed the ability "Reversion." It could reverse the state of any non-living object or living being it focused on. For example, he could restore a shattered cup to its original state or heal a wound by reversing the flesh to its uninjured condition. The potency and scope of this ability depended entirely on the amount of ocular power he poured into it.

His right eye held the ability "Stasis." It could freeze a target in time, bringing its state to a complete halt. The duration of the stasis and the strength of the target he could affect were also dependent on his ocular power. A powerful enough opponent could potentially break free from the effect.

"And as for the Susanoo..." A faint smile touched Kawasaki's lips. Since he had awakened the Mangekyo in both eyes, he had naturally gained the ability to manifest the ultimate Uchiha defense.

"Reversion, Stasis, and Susanoo..." Kawasaki muttered to himself, the names of his new powers feeling heavy on his tongue. With these abilities, his strength had skyrocketed. He was no longer a mere jonin. He was now, without a doubt, a Kage-level shinobi.

However, Kawasaki wasn't blinded by this sudden surge of power. He was keenly aware of his own shortcomings. "My dojutsu is now at the Kage level, but my foundational skills are still lagging far behind." His chakra reserves were only at the level of a special jonin, and his taijutsu and ninjutsu proficiency were even weaker. To truly wield his new power to its fullest potential, he needed to build a stronger foundation. His physical body and chakra capacity had to be raised to a level that could support the might of his eyes.
