After throwing up for about five minutes, Love had practically dissected everything to the point that Ezra honestly couldn't deny it anymore.
She had calmly ushered him into sitting down, checked his temperature with the back of her hand, asked about his symptoms one by one, and then quietly disappeared into the kitchen.
When she returned, she was carrying a steaming cup of tea.
Apparently, it was something that helped with morning sickness.
Ezra had his doubts.
He had plenty of doubts.
But by the Gods...
It actually worked.
The constant nausea had eased enough that he no longer felt like throwing up every other minute.
His stomach still felt unsettled.
His head still felt light.
But at least he could think again.
Now, Ezra and Love stood near the open window overlooking the palace garden.
A gentle breeze drifted inside, carrying the scent of flowers and freshly cut grass.
