"He's fine," the Omega doctor, Alodia, says gently. "Just stressed and possibly exhausted. That's most likely why he passed out."
"Are you sure?" Kaelis asks immediately. "Are you absolutely sure?"
Alodia smiles reassuringly.
"Yes, Your Highness. There is nothing immediately alarming. As far as I can tell, he is healthy."
"And the…"
Kaelis hesitates.
The question refuses to leave his mouth.
After Ezra collapsed in his arms, Kaelis hadn't known what to do.
He didn't want to bring Ezra back to his room and risk waking Lior.
He didn't want anyone else seeing him either.
So instead, he had Love and Evangeline summoned.
He trusted them.
More importantly, he trusted the people they trusted.
Fortunately, Love knew someone.
A doctor.
Someone discreet.
Someone who had delivered both Love's and Evangeline's children.
Now Ezra rested peacefully on the bed inside Love and Evangeline's room while they gathered nearby.
