"I just hope that you will not hold a grudge over me for what I did. I just couldn't help but stand up for my friend. I hope that you will understand me," Marjorie, at the end, couldn't help but humble herself.

Daphne plastered a smile, relief washing over her. Having talked with Marjorie also lessened her guilty and made her feel much more at ease. She didn't resent Marjorie's poisonous tongue at all. In fact, she envied it.
