Her eyes were wide open and filled with curiosity as she looked at Jana. This wasn't mere acting, but genuine curiosity. She was used to seeing Housekeeper Miller and yet today the old lady brought such a beautiful and elegant woman. Where did she get this one from?
She couldn't be blamed. After all, that fateful night when she had that dream, which was like a precognition dream, that helped her learn of Valentine's true identity as well as his mother, Madam Langdale, she didn't see much after that.
In other words, she knew no one else except Valentine, his mother and wife. The rest, she was blank. So, seeing Jana, her sister-in-law, she was filled with nothing but sheer curiosity.
She wasn't one to bottle it up. So, once she had responded to the old lady, she hurriedly asked, "Aunty, who is this pretty lady?" genuine praise in her tone as she openly admired Jana.
