"Something bothering you?" Seline asked me with her usual playful expression as we ate dinner together.
"It's just Chief Simon said something to me today" I replied before chewing into the ham which was extremely flavorful, "Wow this ham is nice, I never taste this brand before"
Seline smiled, "It's homemade"
"I guess that's what makes it great" I replied.
"About what your boss said, What did he say that's bothering you? Did he dare scold you again?" She ask me.
I shook my head, "Even worse i think he just triggered an existential crisis"
"Oh that nasty stuff" Seline commented, "At my work i met lots of people who struggle with those"
"Must be hard for you too, Heard theres a rise on people who suffer mental issues this days" I said pouring me and Seline some glass of water.
"It's not a rise more like people just became aware of it unlike before" Seline said, taking a glass and drinking it.
"Feels like the whole world is ending" Seline muttered.
"It had always been" I replied to Seline, "We just distract ourselves not to notice"
"Because it's easier to live our lives that way" I added.
Seline giggled, "Didn't take you as a philosopher?"
"Didn't knew i was one either" I grinned, "So how was your work?"
"Pretty uneventful. Always stress and i would rather go home" Seline replied drinking another glass, "how about yours?"
"Well found some murder going around murdering other murderers"
"Well that's interesting" Seline then locked eyes with me, "Tell me more officer"
