From Zayne's estimation, if those two SSS-rank innate talents were upgraded to X-rank, they'd be able to achieve way better effects.
For example, X-rank Rank Upper would likely have the power rank limit of Celestial rank, no longer just Starlight rank.
As for X-rank Devouring Beast, its improvement wasn't as straightforward, and it would likely reflect more on the devouring speed, effectiveness in breaking the power rank limit, etc.
In Zayne's current power rank, X-rank Devouring Beast was actually more useful to him than X-rank Rank Upper.
After all, he was already at Late Celestial rank. He was almost at Divine rank, and it would only take one lengthy Doomsday Life Simulation for Rank Upper to be obsolete to him.
Of course, taking and having it now would at least allow him to drastically improve his combat power.
