"Did you hear?"

It was Julien who answered in my place.

I assured Arthur before he could start consoling me in any way.
I wasn't mad at what Sophie thought about me.
And why would I be?
The girl was just the daughter of a man who had pledged his allegiance to me. That was the end of the relation between the two of us—nothing more than that.
So there was no need for me to feel bad about the words of an individual who had no value in my eyes, except serving as a leash on Arthur.
Though even if she were someone of importance in D.X., things would have been the same.
