Chapter 73 - Summoning Heaven’s Thunder! Devouring an S-Rank Beast!!!

The Will of Blue Star's warning hit like a sledgehammer—

smashing straight into everyone's chest.

For a moment, people honestly thought they'd misheard.

But the blood-red banner stretched across the livestream…

made the truth impossible to deny.

"WHAT?! S-RANK?? Are you serious?!"

"The A+ tiger's body isn't even cold yet and you're telling me it's S already?!"

"I'm numb. Why is everyone else getting C and D… and we're A+ as the STARTING POINT???"

"This is beyond ridiculous!"

Yet despite the warning…

the forest remained eerily quiet.

As if the Will of Blue Star's alarm didn't exist at all.

But Adrian Vale's expression shifted—subtle, cold.

His eyes narrowed as he looked into the distance.

That feeling…

A scent.

A new scent—stronger than anything before.

A "fragrance" so rich it made his instincts hum.

Raven Shaw also looked the same way, her posture tightening.

It felt like the calm right before a storm.

Nothing moved.

Nothing breathed.

Then—

"RUMBLE—!!"

A low, suffocating thunder rolled across the sky.

And right after—

"CRACK—!!"

Lightning ripped the heavens open, turning the world into white daylight for a heartbeat.

The livestream chat flinched.

"Holy—what the hell was that?!"

"Is it here?! S-rank's here?!"

"Wait… no… it's just the weather changing?"

"Looks like a storm's coming…"

They weren't wrong.

The sky darkened fast.

Clouds piled up in layers—

and within seconds, a clear sky became a ceiling of black.

"RUMBLE—!!"

Another thunderclap.

This time nobody laughed.

Because right after it—

BOOM!!!

A massive bolt slammed into the distant forest.

Fire erupted sky-high.

And in that burning light…

a shadow appeared.

Not a beast-sized shadow.

A mountain.

Something enormous stood up inside the smoke and storm.

Then it moved.

One step—

BOOM.

The ground trembled.

Another step—

BOOM.

The earth shook harder.

With every footfall, the land caved inward like it couldn't bear the weight.

Animals fled long before it arrived.

The weak didn't even qualify as "prey" in its eyes.

It had only one target.

And as it walked, lightning crawled across the sky above it—

as if the storm itself was following.

Inside the I Came to Watch the Divine Domain studio, the guests were staring like statues.

"That… that's an S-rank creature?" Captain Ryan Cole murmured, throat dry.

Dr. Elias Hart swallowed hard.

"It's not even attacking yet… and it's already causing destruction. That's what S-rank means…"

Sienna Blake couldn't speak at all.

And the chat?

The chat wasn't "excited" anymore.

It was afraid.

Because everyone knew the real nightmare wasn't just one S-rank.

It was the rule.

If that thing entered the Doomsday Nation Gate…

Dragonia would face one hundred of it in the real world.

One was a disaster.

A hundred?

That was extinction.

The monster steps into view

When it finally reached striking distance—

everyone saw it clearly.

A colossal beast, tens of meters tall, built like a moving mountain.

It resembled a bear… if a bear had been forged out of darkness.

Its fur was pitch-black.

But scattered across it were faint, eerie purple glimmers—like embers under ash.

And on its back—

rows of jagged spikes, each one two to three meters long, pulsing with violet light.

It looked less like an animal…

and more like a walking execution.

The Will of Blue Star spoke again—this time with an unmistakable warning tone.

[WARNING! Dragonia contestants Adrian Vale and Raven Shaw have encountered a legendary Divine Domain creature! Analyzing… Analysis complete!]

 [Name: Destruction Tyrant]

[Rank: S]

[Traits: An S-rank Divine Domain beast. It arrives with thunder… and exists only to annihilate. Under its power, all things become dust. It is destruction itself.]

"Destruction Tyrant… yeah, that name fits."

"My god… it's ugly in a way that feels illegal."

"I… I think Dragonia might actually be finished."

"Stop! Don't say that—Adrian will handle it! …Right?"

And yet—

standing face-to-face with the S-rank monster…

Adrian and Raven didn't panic.

Raven narrowed her eyes.

"This thing… is troublesome."

Adrian didn't answer.

He didn't even blink.

The Destruction Tyrant exhaled—

white fog poured from its mouth.

Then, to everyone's shock…

it spoke.

"Interesting. I have never seen existences like you."

It wasn't lying.

Normally, anything blocking its path would've been crushed under one foot.

But today, it felt curious.

When Adrian and Raven didn't respond, it assumed they were terrified.

It lost interest—

and turned its gaze toward the distant Doomsday Nation Gate, towering like a second mountain.

Something behind that gate… pulled at it.

It didn't know it was being guided.

It only knew it wanted in.

That was when international viewers poured into Dragonia's livestream.

Even with their own nations burning…

they couldn't resist watching Dragonia finally face an "unwinnable" threat.

"S-rank…?! This is S-rank?!"

"HAHAHAHA—Dragonia, what now?!"

"No matter how strong their contestants are, there's no way they beat THAT."

"This time Dragonia collapses for sure!"

But even among the cheering—

some leaders turned pale.

"If that enters the gate and manifests x100… that's one hundred S-ranks."

"That's not just Dragonia… that's the entire planet."

Li Dapu's lips curled into a dark smile.

"Don't worry. If that happens, we'll have a very good excuse… to 'solve' the problem for humanity."

Someone's voice tightened.

"You mean… you're going to use—"

Li Dapu didn't deny it.

He just smiled wider.

Raven draws first — Cell Burn, full throttle

Back in the Divine Domain—

Raven didn't wait.

Her combat saber flashed from beneath her cloak.

And the moment it cleared—

she activated her ultimate state.

Cell Burn.

"BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!"

Air burst around her, detonating in repeated sonic pops.

Wind spiraled upward.

Her aura spiked violently.

The chat screamed.

"WHITE BOSS IS GOING IN!!"

"Isn't this the move she used on the centipede?!"

"Instant ultimate—yeah she knows this thing is dangerous!"

"Be careful!! That thing is terrifying!!"

Raven didn't need the reminder.

The reason she dared to go this hard…

was the Immortal Sage Nectar.

That life-stream inside her wasn't just steady anymore—

it surged.

From a trickle…

to a river…

to a roaring tide.

Her cells didn't burn out.

They were fed.

Raven's eyes sharpened.

"So this is what Immortal Sage Nectar really means…"

The Destruction Tyrant watched her with amused contempt.

"Oh? A lowly thing… forcing out such power?"

Raven vanished.

SHK—!

A slash.

Blood sprayed.

Not fatal, but real.

She'd pierced its defense.

The Tyrant's eyes widened—then turned furious.

"A filthy insect dares wound me?!"

It swung a massive paw downward—casual, apocalyptic.

But Raven was already gone.

The strike smashed empty earth.

She reappeared on its shoulder—

slash again.

More blood.

The Tyrant roared.

Swung again.

Missed again.

Raven became a blur of gray-white flashes—striking, vanishing, repositioning.

The difference in size became her advantage.

Its attacks were world-ending—

but too slow to catch her.

The livestream erupted.

"S-RANK CAN'T TOUCH HER?!"

"WHITE BOSS IS INSANE!!"

"Can she actually… kite it to death?!"

Raven's expression stayed cold.

Because she knew the truth.

She was cutting it.

Annoying it.

Bleeding it.

But not killing it.

Not even close.

At this rate, she could slash for a year…

and it would still stand.

The Tyrant stops playing — thunder answers its roar

Raven's "insect tactics" finally pushed it over the edge.

The Destruction Tyrant's patience snapped.

"Enough."

Its eyes flared with violet light.

It threw its head back and roared at the heavens.

"ROOOAAAR—!!!"

The storm answered.

"RUMBLE—RUMBLE—RUMBLE—!!"

Clouds condensed directly above it, thick as a ceiling.

The sky turned almost night-black.

Raven's instincts screamed.

This wasn't "weather."

This was power.

The chat panicked.

"It's charging something!!"

"It's angry—IT'S ANGRY!!"

"It can control lightning??"

"This is turning into fantasy nonsense!!"

The Tyrant raised one massive paw, slow and deliberate.

Like a god lifting judgment.

The clouds churned.

Thunderstack after thunderstack—

until the sky reached a breaking point.

"RUMBLEEEEE—!!!!"

Then it shouted:

"HEAVENLY THUNDER… ERASE!!"

The world flashed purple.

A bolt descended with annihilating force.

Lightning's speed was nearly instant—

even Raven, fully focused, barely had time to react.

Her only option was minimizing damage.

But how do you "minimize" a godbolt?

The livestream could only spit one word over and over:

"NO—!"

"WHITE BOSS—!"

"NO—!"

"ADRIAN!!"

BOOOOOOM—!!!!

The thunder struck.

Everything near the impact point was obliterated.

Fire, smoke, charred earth—

a crater of violent silence.

For one beat…

the entire stream went dead quiet.

Then—

"Did it… hit her?"

"No… no no no…"

"WHITE BOSS…"

"WHERE IS ADRIAN?!"

The God-Nation Alliance conference room erupted into laughter.

"She's dead!"

"Dragonia's done!"

"That was the end!"

Li Dapu smiled like he'd tasted victory.

"Good. Then we can begin preparations."

Smoke clears — Adrian's hand is still raised

Back in the Divine Domain—

the Destruction Tyrant laughed.

"Now do you understand? This is divine power—"

It stopped mid-sentence.

Because its senses told it something impossible.

That "insect"…

wasn't dead.

And then—

a voice emerged from the smoke, calm and cold.

"Oh? Is that so?"

The chat froze.

Because everyone recognized that voice.

Adrian Vale.

A violent gust swept through the battlefield.

Smoke tore apart.

And there he was.

Adrian stood in front—

one hand raised, still holding the posture of blocking.

Dark red-black coloration faded from his forearm as it regenerated.

His sleeve… repaired itself.

Behind him, Raven stood perfectly intact, staring at his back like she'd forgotten how to blink.

Wind whipped Adrian's hair.

Firelight flickered around him.

And in that moment—

he looked less like a man…

and more like the thing the storm should fear.

The Destruction Tyrant's rage returned instantly.

"So what if you blocked it?! Two insects are still insects!"

It charged.

A colossal paw slammed down like a collapsing mountain.

The chat screamed again.

"WAIT—THAT WASN'T ITS ULT??"

"THAT WAS A NORMAL HIT??"

"MOVE!! MOVE!!"

Adrian didn't move.

Not yet.

He stared up at the descending paw, expression unchanged.

Then he murmured, almost amused—

"Lowly insect…?"

His eyes sharpened.

"I think the lowly one is you."

And in the next instant—

Adrian grabbed Raven—

and vanished.

A black flash.

He reappeared like a bolt of darkness, shooting straight toward the Destruction Tyrant.

Not retreating.

Not defending.

Hunting.

He was going to devour an S-rank beast.
