It was hard for Danielle to push all of these rushing memories and emotions back, but she somehow managed to do so and take note of the situation at hand.
The situation looked grim. Someone had just died in a prison under surveillance watch. And what's more? There was neither any evidence nor a hint of a weapon that could have been used to carry out this death.
'But what does it all mean?'
Danielle wanted to yell out loud at this injustice, but she controlled herself and slowly calmed down. She took a few deep breaths before she stood back up and looked at the terrified unit of guards behind her.
"Don't let the news of this leak out anywhere. I will try to deal with the fallout. Don't worry, we will get to the end of it all."
She assured the people who were following her, but they did not look as reassured by her words as she had hoped.
Still, she knew better than to stay silent at such a crucial moment.
