"Hello darling"
Starlight turned around and stared at Vanessa walking towards her with a mocking smile on her face.
"What do you want now?"Starlight asked clearly irritated with her presence,she was her personal maid before she decided to get in bed with her husband.
"I just wanted to congratulate you on your pregnancy,heard it's due"she replied,her voice laced with venom.
"Thanks but its not needed"Starlight said and made way down the stairs only to be pushed and fall down, landing on her baby bump which had become big due to the pregnancy.
Zarek rushed down hearing the scream and saw Starlight lying in a pool of blood.
"Starlight!"he yelled startling Vanessa who stood at the railings.
He rushed down and scooped her up,"Star,Star, open your eyes please, don't do this to me"he said patting her cheeks stained in blood.
He quickly rushed her in and called the doctor,his voice stern but filled with unease.
The doctor arrived walking passed Vanessa and towards Starlight's room in a hurry not able to catch the scornful look on the lady's face.
"Oh Starlight, I wish you die with your babies"she cursed and rubbed her Palms together, ominiting specks of purple dusts and blew it in the direction of Starlight's room.
"This should be fun"she muttered and walked away going to her children's room to care for them.
Starlight layed on her bed unconscious as the doctor examined her when she suddenly gasped and sat up in pain,her baby bump felt unstable and she began screaming.
Zarek and the doctor couldn't fathom what was happening and just stared in shock.
"She's in labour!!"the doctor screamed finally finding his voice
Starlight screamed, tears poured down her eyes till she cried actual blood,the pain was unbearable,the skies had turned dark,with clouds darker than ever as it began to rain blood and lava, everyone outside were either drowned or melted, buildings collapsed,no one was spared,men, women, children, animals,none were spared.
Starlight gripped the headboard screaming till her voice turned hoarse and then the unexpected happened.
He tummy,moved a bit and out came a tiny hand,it ripped through her flesh and she let out an ear piercing scream as the baby tore its way out.
The first one popped her head up and was brought out without making a noise, neither crying or moving, the storm brewing became less and began raining water,rain drops washing away the colour of blood but the damages were already done.
The second baby came out and began crying making her presence known and Zarek smiled.
Starlight layed on the bed unconscious,her belly began to heal, closing up but leaving a scar.
Zarek smiled as the babies were brought to him,he gazed at the second baby draped in a yellow cloth ,her hair black in color,her skin fresh, reddish lips and beautiful brown eyes who had stopped crying and was yawning, smiled and muttered,
"I'll call you Lailah". He then turned to the first and frowned,her skin was pale as if she was dead,her hair white,her nails sharp like claws,her brown eyes holding something deep within them.
"Lilith",he muttered as didn't bother to spare her another glance.
He took Lailah in his arms and played with her. By the time Starlight woke up,no one was in the room, except for Zarek who sat on the cushioned stool still holding Lailah. She turned to the other side and saw the other baby, Lilith,she was crying but silently,her voice was so tiny that it couldn't be heard unless you're next to her.
Starlight picked her up and cradled her with a smiled but still being careful like she'd break anytime soon,she found her pale skin odd but she was still her baby.
Zarek noticed Starlight was awake and holding the pale looking baby in her arms and frowned.
"Starlight you're awake"he said and walked towards her with Lailah in his arms.
"Yes, isn't she cute?"Starlight asked.
"Won't u carry Lailah?"he asked sitting on the bed besides her.
Starlight stared at Lailah and carried her after gently putting Lilith down.
"Her name is pretty,so what'd you give the second baby?"she asked glancing at the pale looking baby.
"Yes,her name.....is Lilith"...
