????? Pov

Above Jura Forrest

She was bored.

And she was hungry.

She was flying over her territory headed towards Guy's Place, so that she could eat something good there.

After sparring with Midray for a while, she was offered vegetable.

Raw Vegetable.

'Umu, Misery makes good food.' She nodded her head, recalling the taste of the food Misery made last time.

Hmmm.

She stopped as she neared the Jura Forest, something interesting caught her eye.

A large amount blue light particles were moving across the forest.

Lesser elementals.

She had seen many of them at Ramiris's place, but she had never seen so many of them in the wild and so concentrated too.

And all of them seemed to be centred around something or someone.

Interesting.

She used her Unique Skill, { Milim Eye }, to see the source of this unique circumstance.

A blue skinned humanoid, with catfish like head was fighting against a medium dragon.

A Seiren?

No, a Merfok.

The merfolk seemed to be constantly surrounded by the lesser elemental as he continued to fight the dragon.

But equally interesting was another creature, a wasp creature fighting alongside the merfolk.

An Insectoid.

Fascinating.

The duo deemed to be in a perfect sink as they fought the Dragon, carefully tearing it wing and puncturing its eyes.

She observed the duo of Demi-Human and Insect, as they effortlessly beat the dragon.

A decision had been made, she would meet the boy.

A merfolk with a strange sword play, surrounded by numerous Lesser Elemental. Also being followed by a Insectoid.

She doubted she could find anything as interesting, and she understood that by experience.

She hadn't seen or heard of anything interesting outside of the Hero that had sealed away Veldora in the past few centuries.

She was about to move towards boy but stopped, the entirety of the Jura forest was supposed to be under Veldora.

Demon Lords had a mutual pact in place that forbade them from stepping foot there, to prevent Veldora's seal from being undone.

Hmm, what to do?

They were near the borders of her territory and Jura forest, beside none of the other Demon Lord were here.

Veldora sealed cave was quiet a bit away, so meeting someone wasn't going to break the Hero's seal anyway.

UMU.

She was truly the best.

Jura Forest

Mika POV

I stared at the huge crater, curtsy of a huge Magicules meteor that *conveniently* crashed right infront of me.

It was probably biggest source of power he could sensed of any being, granted he hadn't sensed the power of truly strong people.

Just staying near the crash site made me want to buckle, the opressive aura pressuring me. Even the lesser elemental around seemed to be terrified.

Beru beside him seemed to be in much the same situation, if not worse.

As the dust settled, he could see the one responsible for the crater.

A youthful girl with platinum pink hair tied in twin tails, just the aura around her was more than his comprehension.

It made me wonder how great the source of all that aura had to be.

"Greetings! I am the one and only Dragonoid, also known as the Destroyer, the Demon Lord Milim Nava!" The pink haired maelstrom introduced herself.

Come on, Why am I meeting an end game boss right after I leave the starting village?

Relax, maybe she isn't here for m-

"I haven't seen someone as interesting as you in centuries.."

'Yup, she is here for me.'

Any and all hope that she wasn't her for me died in its cradle.

While I had initially considered Milim as one of the demon lord I could possibly interact with, I dropped had that idea.

Unlike Ramiris whom he absolutely had a reason to interact with, it wasn't the same with Milim. Not to mention I doubted I could be someone intriguing enough that she would consider to interact with.

"Hello Lady Millim, may I ask what you wanted with me?"

"Hmm? I just saw something interesting and came here to introduce myself."

Now what to do?

Unlike my previous assumption of it seems I was "something interesting", even if marginally so.

And fortunately this wasn't some twisted world with some twisted "evil" form of Milim.

But what to do?

Maybe if I was reborn as some Monster I could butter her up, and possibly get a name…

S-

"It's rude to ignore someone." I felt something poking my cheeks.

An action which caused Beru to buzz aggressively, fortunately he stopped as I raised my had. An action which further caused her to raise her brows.

"I am sorry, Lady Milim. I am just surprised you found me interesting."

"Of course." She puffed out her chest, before pointing at her eyes. "Nothing escapes my Draconic {Milim Eye}."

"I haven't seen so many Lesser Elemental around someone other than Ramiris."

"Ramiris?" I pretend to not know her, to push the conversation forward not knowing how to suddenly interact with an entity he sought to avoid.

"She is just a pipsqueak hiding in the labyrinth."

"Labyrinth? You wouldn't happen to be talking about the Labyrinth Fairy, the Fairy Queen." She huffed at the title I mentioned of.

Beru Pov

Jura Great Forest

He couldn't have imagined how much life could change from a single interaction, then again at the time he was more focused on surviving than imagining pointless things.

He could vividly remember a Dragon descending upon the nest he inhabited, and setting that ablaze, killing all but him.

His entire hive set ablaze, though fortunately or unfortunately he was spared from it.

He was a Larvae back then, unable to do anything but run on instinct.

The dragon focused on feasting on his hive, or perhaps due to his weakness, didn't notice him escaping.

And that was when everything changed, he had encountered a young Mikazuki wondering through the forest, weak and unable to do anything he was taken in by the young merfolk.

After that point his whole life was turned upside down, he ended up being welcomed in the village. Receiving a name, growing stronger than what he was intended for.

Being looked at with admiration rather than fear, though he did sense their fear initially.

Though most interesting of all, he had a family.

The ever loving and caring Grandfather, yet stern when needed to. Or the ever optimistic and easy-going Brother.

He could recall all the time, he and Mika had gotten into trouble and were scolded and punished by Grandfather.

Yet deep down he had feared that this memories could come crashing down like the nest he used to live in.

And that fear had arrived, yet nothing happened.

"What so great about her anyway?"

"Well maybe getting the fairy queen blessing might help, or maybe summoning a Greater Elemental." That had been the reasoning Mika parroted about.

"So you want to become a hero?"

He would have raised his brows if he had any.

A Hero?

In his opinion Mika was already a Hero, he wouldn't need a Fairy's blessing to become one.

Mika had saved him, improved his village's life and even those enslaved by humans.

If he wasn't one already, and instead needed a fairy's blessing to become one, then perhaps the world hero itself was an adequate one.

"A Hero?" Mika mused, as he gave the sandwich he had prepared.

"What's this?" The demon lord asked tilting her head, already ignoring the previous question, as she lifted the bread.

"It's just sandwich, just eat it you will find it tasty."

He nodded his head at those words, he had eaten those and he loved them.

Even the roasted meat he was eating had onion powder and black pepper sprinkled over it, improving the taste.

As soon as the Demon Lord took a bite of the food, her eyes started to shine.

And this was how they had encountered one of the greatest Catastrophes, and managed to come out of better.

And also how the tale of one of the greatest friendships, if not the greatest, of a Hero and Demon Lord came to be.

As for Milim, she was one of three I expected Mika to meet before Ramiris.
